The Wife Of Firaun Pharaoh By Imam Anwar Al Awlaki

A Lecture By Imam Anwar Al Awlaki where he explains the graeatest women in Islam including Asiah, the wife of FIraun. Very interesting Lecture.

Heroine of Islam:the strong willed of Asiah

Heroine of Islam:the strong willed of Asiah

Asiah was the Pharoah's wife. She was very different from him.Asiah worshiped Allah but the Pharoah called himself god and forced everyone to worship him.

Despite their different beliefs, Asiah remained obedient to the Pharoah because he was her husband . But each day in the palace was a torment to her.She really hated to see Minister Hamman and his men worshipping the Pharoah.

When the Pharoah pushed Mashitah and her family into the boiling pot, he said to Asiah; " I hope you learn the punishment for a woman who disobey God."

Asiah quickly retorted:"Damn you oh Pharoah in Allah's wrath!"How shocked was the Pharoah to listen to her beloved wifes's words.

Pharoah then called Asiahs's parents to talk to her so that she may change her mind. Despite all efforts,Asiah would not change her stand to worship someone other than Allah , the God of the Universe."

"What did she tell you?" yelled the Pharoah to Asiah's mother. Before she could answer,

Asiah cut in:" I will not sacrifice my faith in Allah , my God and your God, and the God of all creations."

Upon hearing her reply, the Pharoah got even angrier. He instructed his guards to tie Asiah's hands to a pillar in the palace. She was then beaten with a rod. Though beaten mercilessly , Asiah remained calm.

Her lips never stopped praying:"O God, build me a palace by Your side in Heaven , and protect me from the Pharoah and his evil people,"Asiah finally died as a martyr.

Our Lord! And grant us that which you have promised to us by Your messengers and save us from shame on the Day of Judgement. Verily You never fail to fulfill Your promise. (3:194)

Narrated Abu Musa Al Ashari, The Prophet said:

"The superiority of 'Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asya, the wife of Pharaoh."

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Amongst all those women who ride camels (i.e. Arabs), the ladies of Quraish are the best. They are merciful and kind to their off-spring and the best guardians of their husbands' properties.' Abu Huraira added, "Mary the daughter of Imran never rode a camel." (Sahih Bukhari, 4.643)
