A great reminder by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan.
"Pride is dissatisfaction with the truth, and belittling the people." [Hadith in Muslim]
"Indeed, He does not love the proud." [The Quran - an-Nahl (16):23]
"So enter the gates of Hell to dwell therein. Indeed evil is the abode of the proud. [ The Qur'an - An-Nahl (16):29]
"Pride is dissatisfaction with the truth, and belittling the people." [Hadith in Muslim]
Problem with your heart
Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem!
As Salaam O 'Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh! Sibling in Islam,
Hope this mail finds you in the best of health and emaan, Insha'AllAH!
1- You think you are much better than others!
You look down upon them! You have EGO!ONLY ALLAAH azza wa jal Knows who is really better than whome! Also, have you forgotten what were you before ALLAAH azza wa jal Blessed you with the beauty of Islam?!
2- You aren't touched by the words of ALLAAH jallay wa 'ala anymore! It's been a looooong time since you cried in Salah! These are the signs of TOUGH HEART!Once the heart becomes hard, it is easy for you being corrupt!
3- You are burnt out!You dont do righteous deeds anymore!Your intention was NOT correct!
Some solutions:
1- Realise who is One worthy of ALL the Praise! It is ALLAAH azza wa jal!Remember HIM! Do the adhkaar! Understand its meanings!
ALHUMDULILLAH [[ ALL PRAISE IS DUE TO ALLAAH ALONE ]]
LA HAWLA WA LA QUWATA ILLA BILLAH [[ THERE IS NO CHANGE AND STRENGTH EXCEPT THROUGH ALLAAH ]]
etc
2- Learn to serve people for the sake of ALLAAH!You dont want the praise of those people! You want ALLAAH's praise!
ALLAAH says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, ‘I am of those who bow in Islam?’"(41:33)
3- Find better company!
4- Learn to keep your mouth shut!
ALLAAH says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And they divided not till after knowledge had come to them, through (selfish) transgression between themselves. And had it not been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord for an appointed term, the matter would have been settled between them ..."
[Surah Ash-Shura, Ayat 14 (Ch. 42: Verse 14, Qur'an)]
