SURAH AL KAHF (full) recited by Abdulrahman Al Sudais

Asalaam Alaykoum Wa RahmatouLlah Wa Barakatouh
All praise is due to the Lord of the world ALLAH (Subhana Llah Wa Taala)and peace and blessing is upon his Messenger Muhammad(S.A.W) his family and all his companions.

SURAH AL KAHF HAS 110 Aayah (verses)
This Surah was revealed in Mecca
Beautifully recitated by SHAIKH AbdulRahman Al Sudais.

===============

Imam Ahmad recorded that Al-Bara' said: "A man recited Al-Kahf and there was an animal in the house which began acting in a nervous manner. He looked, and saw a fog or cloud overhead. He mentioned this to the Prophet , who said:

«اقْرَأْ فُلَانُ، فَإِنَّهَا السَّكِينَةُ تَنْزِلُ عِنْدَ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآن»
(Keep on reciting so and so, for this is the tranquillity which descends when one reads Qur'an or because of reading Qur'an;) This was also recorded in the Two Sahihs. This man who recited it was Usayd bin Al-Hudayr, as we have previously mentioned in our Tafsir of Surat Al-Baqarah. Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Ad-Darda' that the Prophet said:

«مَنْ حَفِظَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ عُصِمَ مِنَ الدَّجَّال»
(Whoever memorizes ten Ayat from the beginning of Surat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal.) This was also recorded by Muslim, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i and At-Tirmidhi. According to the version recorded by At-Tirmidhi,

«مَنْ حَفِظَ ثَلَاثَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الْكَهْف»
(Whoever memorizes three Ayat from the beginning of Al-Kahf.) He said, it is "Hasan Sahih. '' In his Mustadrak, Al-Hakim recorded from Abu Sa`id that the Prophet said:

«مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ أَضَاءَ لَهُ مِنَ النُّورِ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَتَيْن»
(Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, it will illuminate him with light from one Friday to the next.) Then he said: "This Hadith has a Sahih chain, but they (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.'' Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr Al-Bayhaqi also recorded it in his Sunan from Al-Hakim, then he narrated with his own chain that the Prophet said:

«مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ كَمَا نَزَلَتْ، كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَة»
(Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf as it was revealed, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection.)

How the Ummah went wrong

Many have been educated one side of Islamic history for generations when it came to the issue of Muslims fighting each other. These days Muslims are ready to point fingers, call each other kufr and even give fatwas to kill each other. If you know the story of the first four Khalifah's you will see that they would rather die themselves before lifting a sword against a Muslim even if those Muslims are coming to kill the Khalifah. These days the Muslims are not even close to the iman of the Khalifah and have the stubbornness to feel that they are the right sect and everyone else is wrong. Instead of being faul mouth and suspicious always, why not spend your time doing Dawah and not splitting the ummah more and more each day. Shame on many Muslims who even support Dictators just so that their sects can be in power.

To Veil Or Not To Veil-Sheikh Mohammad Elshinawy 1/6

This is a beautiful lecture on wearing Hijab given by Sheikh Mohammad Elshinawy. Masha'Allah, it is a great reminder of our duty as believing women to veil our bodies and conduct ourselves in a modest way that is pleasing to Allah. It also reminds our brothers to conduct themselves with modesty and to encourage the women of our Ummah to guard what Allah has ordered us to guard.

Acts of worship which are prescribed on Fridays.

As-Salaam O Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Acts of worship which are prescribed on Fridays.

There are many acts of worship which are prescribed for the Muslim to do on this day. These include:

1 – Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer)

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allaah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know![al-Jumu’ah 62:9]

2 – Making a lot of du’aa’.

On this day there is a time when a person’s Lord will answer his du’aa’ – by Allaah’s leave.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: “On this day there is a time when no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allaah for something, but Allaah will grant him it” – and he gestured with his hands to indicate how short that time is.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 893; Muslim, 852

3 – Reading Soorat al-Kahf.

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khduri that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.” Narrated by al-Haakim; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 836..al-Bayhaqi, 3/249.

4 – Sending a lot of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of your days is Friday. On that day Adam (peace be upon him) was created; on that day he died; on that day the Trumpet will be blown; and on that day all of creation will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me, for your blessings will be shown to me.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, how will our blessings upon you be shown to you when you have turned to dust?” He said, “Allaah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets, peace be upon them.”
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1047

Please during this day of Jumma, remember us and the entire muslim ummah in your duas.

Jazak Allah Khair,

Hadith - Visiting the Sick

Hadith - Visiting the Sick
Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The one who visits the sick is in fact like one who is in the fruit garden of Paradise so long as he does not return." [Sahih Muslim]

There is great merit in paying a visit to the sick, whether one knows the patient or not. The following is a story of how a man came to take the shahada.

The man was in a hospital sharing a room with a Muslim. One day some people came to visit the Muslim. They came in, hugged the Muslim brother, kissed him, and talked to him with love and affection. They stayed for a while and shared a closeness that was true. After they left, the man asked the Muslim if those were his brothers who had just visited him. The Muslim replied, "No, they learned that I was sick today, at the Friday prayer, and so they came to visit me. I just met them today." This shocked the man. Those people had not acted in an awkward stranger fashion but like true brothers.

This led to the man asking more questions and finally accepting Islam. This duty of visiting the sick was as always blessed by Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). In addition, this time it also served as a vehicle to guide a man to Islam.

“Abi, when will we ever relax

Imam of the Sunnah in his Time - Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal by Abu Bilal

“Abi, when will we ever relax
Bismillahir Rahmani Rahiim Alhamdulilahi Rabbil Alamiin wasalatu wasalamu ala ashrafil mursalin nebiyuna wa habibuna Muhamad salalahu aleyhi wa ala ahlihi wa ashabihi wabarik wasalim tasliman kathira

The story of one of the great Imams of this Ummah, Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal.

His son, Abdullah, asked his father one day: “Abi when will we ever relax?” His father, one of the greatest revivers of the Sunnah and a role model for all Muslims, looked him in the eye and said: “With the first step we take into Jannah.”

Ya Allah, what a beautiful response!

There are days that come to you and you’re tired, you just want to sleep and relax and “shut off” as they say. Those are the days in which you need to ask yourself a critical question: ‘Where am I going with life?’ If it’s towards Allah and for Allah, then regain your strength and continue your work, for Jannah is precious and must be sought. But if you look into your life and realise that it’s not towards Allah but towards Dunya, then your tiredness becomes a blessing, for it is a reminder that you need to change direction and renew your purpose in life.

I love this story on many levels. For one, it shows you that when someone’s focus is Jannah, their priorities change and their outlook on life is different. What we perceive as difficulty, they perceive as ease. What we perceive as calamity, they perceive as reward. What we perceive as obstacles, they perceive as opportunities for sincere dua. Moreover, when your focus is Jannah, this Dunya and its constant demand becomes small and the least of our concerns.

Also, I love the way the son began his question: “Abi” – a sweet way of addressing his father, and asked: “When will we ever relax?” If you notice, he didn’t say, “when will I relax Dad?” Even though he wanted to relax, he wasn’t selfish and also cared for his father’s condition. This also shows you that the father and son were working hard together. Again, when your focus is Jannah it reflects in your family, children, and those around you and everyone gears up towards that goal.

Our problem today is not that we’re tired, our problem today is that we relax too much. We do everything so that we relax. We cheat, break promises, do not fulfill our vows, lie, take and give bribery, and so on. Why? So we can relax. We don’t stay up for Tahajjud or wake up for Fajr, we don’t fast, or go for Hajj and Umrah… all so we can relax. We don’t walk towards the Masjid or open the Book of Allah so we can understand it, all in the name of “I need to relax!”

Dear brothers and sisters, there’s plenty of relaxation where we’re going, but this is not the time for it. Let’s all work for Jannah and be productive in the path of Allah, and work so hard that one day our children will approach us and ask: “Abi” or “Ummi”: “When will we ever relax?” and you can smile and look them in the eyes and say, “When we enter Jannah inshaAllah”.

18 Benefits of Prayers by Ibn Qayyim Jawzyah

n his excellent book, Zaad al-Ma'aad, in the section which includes the book, At-Tibb an-Nabawee, Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have Mercy on him) stated in his alphabetized discussion of medicines and nutrition:

Allaah the Exalted has said:
( And seek help in patience and in prayer. Surely that is something quite difficult on (people) other than people of humility and submissiveness )
And He has said:
( O you who believe! Seek help in patience and in prayer! Verily, Allaah is with those who are patient. )
And He, the Exalted One, has said:
(And command your family to pray, and be patient upon that. We are not asking you for any provisions,(rather) We provide for you, and the favorable outcome is for (those with) taqwaa (consciousness of Allaah that produces righteous actions). )
And in the Books of Sunnah it is reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) used to hasten to prayer whenever an affair disturbed him. And previously discussed was the concept of healing most ailments through prayer before seeking out other ways of dealing with them.
- 1 - Prayer is something that causes one to receive sustenance.
- 2 - It draws one close to Ar-Rahmaan (Allaah, the Most Merciful).
- 3 - It keeps away the Shaytaan (the Devil).
- 4 - It is something that safeguards one's physical health.
- 5 - It keeps away harmful things.
- 6 - It casts away illnesses.
- 7 - It strengthens the heart.
- 8 - It brightens one's countenance.
- 9 - It delights the soul.
- 10 - It gets rid of laziness.
- 11 - It makes the limbs active.
- 12 - It increases one's physical strength.
- 13 - It expands the chest (making one at ease and giving him insight).
- 14 - It is nourishment for the soul.
- 15 - It illuminates the heart.
- 16 - It safeguards one's blessings.
- 17 - It repels catastrophes.
- 18 - It brings on blessings.

And overall it has an amazing effect on the health of the body and heart, and in strengthening them and expelling harmful pollutants from them. No two people have been afflicted with any disability, disease, or other calamity, except that the portion of the one who prays is less and his outcome is cleaner.
Also, prayer has an amazing effect on the evils of the dunyaa (the worldly life) and how it repels them, especially when the prayer is performed properly and completely, inwardly and outwardly. Nothing keeps the evils of the dunyaa at bay and brings on the benefits of it like prayer.
The reason behind this is that prayer is one's connection to Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic. So based on the strength of a person's relationship with his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, the doors of goodness will accordingly be opened up for him, bad things and the reasons for them befalling him will be cut off, and the elements of success granted by His Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, will begin pouring in, along with safety and good health, wealth and worldly riches, relaxation, bliss, enjoyment, and all types of joyful affairs will be brought to him, and in an expedient manner, too.

The Four Poisons Of The Heart

The Four Poisons Of The Heart

Asalamu aleykum warahmatulahi wabarakatu
Bismillah Alhamdulilah wasalatu wasalamu ala Rasulilah wa ala ahlihi wa ashabihi wabarik wasalim

You should know that all acts of disobedience are poison to the heart and cause its sickness and ruin. They result in its will running off course, against that of Allâh, and so its sickness festers and increases. Ibn al-Mubârak said:

I have seen wrong actions killing hearts,
And their degradation may lead to
their becoming addicted to them.
Turning away from wrong actions
gives life to the hearts,

And opposing your self is best for it.

Whoever is concerned with the health and life of his heart, must rid it of the effects of such poisons, and then protect it by avoiding new ones. If he takes any by mistake, then he should hasten to wipe out their effect by turning in repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allâh, as well as by doing good deeds that will wipe out his wrong actions.

By the four poisons we mean unnecessary talking, unrestrained glances, too much food and keeping bad company. Of all the poisons, these are the most widespread and have the greatest effect on a heart’s well-being.

Unnecessary Talking

It is reported in al-Musnad, on the authority of Anas, that the Prophet said: “The faith of a servant is not put right until his heart is put right, and his heart is not put right until his tongue is put right.”[1] This shows that the Prophet has made the purification of faith conditional on the purification of the heart, and the purification of the heart conditional on the purification of the tongue.

At-Tirmidhî relates in a hadîth on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar: “Do not talk excessively without remembering Allâh, because such excessive talk without the mention of Allâh causes the heart to harden, and the person furthest from Allâh is a person with a hard heart.”[2]

‘Umar Ibn al-Khattab, may Allâh be pleased with him, said: “A person who talks too much is a person who often makes mistakes, and someone who often makes mistakes, often has wrong actions. The Fire has a priority over such a frequent sinner.”[3]

In a hadîth related on the authority of Mu‘âdh, the Prophet said, “Shall I not tell you how to control all that?” I said, “Yes do, O Messenger of Allâh.” So he held his tongue between his fingers, and then he said: “Restrain this.” I said, “O Prophet of Allah, are we accountable for what we say?” He said, “May your mother be bereft by your loss! Is there anything more than the harvest of the tongues that throws people on their faces (or he said ‘on their noses’) into the Fire?”[4]

What is meant here by ‘the harvest of the tongues’ is the punishment for saying forbidden things. A man, through his actions and words, sows the seeds of either good or evil. On the Day of Resurrection he harvests their fruits. Those who sow the seeds of good words and deeds harvest honour and blessings; those who sow the seeds of evil words and deeds reap only regret and remorse.

A hadîth related by Abû Huraira says, “What mostly causes people to be sent to the Fire are the two openings: the mouth and the private parts.”[5]

Abû Huraira also related that the Messenger of Allâh said, “The servant speaks words, the consequences of which he does not realise, and for which he is sent down into the depths of the Fire further than the distance between the east and the west.”[6]

The same hadîth was transmitted by at-Tirmidhî with slight variations: “The servant says something that he thinks is harmless, and for which he will be plunged into the depths of the Fire as far as seventy autumns.”[7]

Uqba ibn Amîr said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allâh, what is our best way of surviving?’ He, may Allâh bless him and grant him peace, replied: ‘Guard your tongue, make your house suffice for sheltering your privacy, and weep for your wrong actions.’”[8]

It has been related on the authority of Sahl ibn Sa‘d that the Prophet said, “Whoever can guarantee what is between his jaws and what is between his legs, I guarantee him the Garden.”[9]

It has also been related by Abu Huraira, may Allâh be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may Allâh bless him and grant him peace, said, “Let whoever believes in Allâh and the Last Day either speak good or remain silent.”[10]

Thus talking can either be good, in which case it is commendable, or bad, in which case it is harâm.

The Prophet said: “Everything the children of Adam say goes against them, except for their enjoining good and forbidding evil, and remembering Allâh, Glorious and Might is He.” This was reported by at-Tirmidhî and Ibn Mâjah on the authority of Umm Habîba, may Allah be pleased with her.[11]

Umar ibn al-Khattâb visited Abû Bakr, may Allâh be pleased with them, and found him pulling his tongue with his fingers. Umar said “Stop! may Allah forgive you!” Abû Bakr replied; “This tongue has brought me to dangerous places.”[12]

Abdullâh ibn Mas‘ûd said: “By Allâh, besides Whom no god exists, nothing deserves a long prison sentence more than my tongue.” He also used to say: “O tongue, say good and you will profit; desist from saying evil things and you will be safe; otherwise you will find only regret.”

Abu Huraira reported that Ibn al-Abbâs said: “A person will not feel greater fury or anger for any part of his body on the Day of Judgement more than what he will feel for his tongue, unless he only used it for saying or enjoining good.”

Al-Hassan said: “Whoever does not hold his tongue cannot understand his deen.”

The least harmful of a tongue’s faults is talking about whatever does not concern it. The following hadîth of the Prophet is enough to indicate the harm of this fault: “One of the merits of a person’s Islâm is his abandoning what does not concern him.”[13]

Abu Ubaida related that al-Hassan said: “One of the signs of Allâh’s abandoning a servant is His making him preoccupied with what does not concern him.”

Sahl said, “Whoever talks about what does not concern him is deprived of truthfulness.”

As we have already mentioned above, this is the least harmful of the tongue’s faults. There are far worse things, like backbiting, gossiping, obscene and misleading talk, two-faced and hypocritical talk, showing off, quarrelling, bickering, singing, lying, mockery, derision and falsehood; and there are many more faults which can affect a servant’s tongue, ruining his heart and causing him to lose both his happiness and pleasure in this life, and his success and profit in the next life. Allah is the One to Whom we turn for assistance.

Unrestrained Glances

The unrestrained glance results in the one who looks becoming attracted to what he sees, and in the imprinting of an image of what he sees in his heart. This can result in several kinds of corruption in the heart of the servant. The following are a number of them:

It has been related that the Prophet once said words to the effect: “The glance is a poisoned arrow of shaytân. Whoever lowers his gaze for Allâh, He will bestow upon him a refreshing sweetness which he will find in his heart on the day that he meets Him.”[14]

A hadiths of forgiveness

A hadiths of forgiveness please read
Bisimillah wal hamdulilah wasalatu wasalamu ala rasulilah wa ala ahlihi wa ashabihi ajmaiin

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.''
[Abu Dawud].

Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who says: `Astaghfir ullah-alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Haiyul-Qayyumu, wa atubu ilaihi (I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true god except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance),' his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield (while he was engaged in fighting for the Cause of Allah).''

[Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and Al-Hakim (on conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim for accepting Hadith)].

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: We counted Messenger's saying a hundred times during one single sitting: Rabb-ighfir li, wa tubb `alayya, innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Rahim. (My Rubb! Forgive me and pardon me. Indeed, You are the Oft-Returning with compassion and Ever Merciful.''
[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The best supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul-Istighfar) is to say:

`Allahumma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana `abduka, wa ana `ala `ahdika wa wa`dika mastata`tu, a`udhu bika min sharri ma sana`tu, abu'u laka bini`matika `alayya,... wa abu'u bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta.
(O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).

'He who supplicates in these terms during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening), he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah; and if anyone supplicates in these terms during the night with firm belief in i...t and dies before the morning, he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah.''

Teachings of Shaykh Abd Al-Qadir Jilani

Teachings of Shaykh Abd Al-Qadir Jilani
Bismillahi Ar-rahmani Ar-rahim.

The great Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, may Allah be well pleased with him, said in his Futuh al-Ghayb:

There are ten virtues to be practiced by those engaged in spiritual struggle and self-examination. If they keep them up and master them by Allah’s leave (Exalted is He), they will attain to noble stations.

1.The servant should not swear by Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He), whether truthfully or falsely, deliberately or absentmindedly. If he exercises this kind of self-control and trains his tongue accordingly, it will bring him to the point where he can give up swearing altogether, with or without premeditation. Once he has become accustomed to this, Allah will open a door to His lights, letting him experience the benefit thereof in his heart, and raising him in rank and strength, in his resolve and his patience, in the approbation of his brethren and the esteem of his neighbors, so that all who know him will regard him as a good example, and everyone who sees him will hold him in awe.

2.He should avoid lying, whether in jest or in earnest. If he practices this self-control and his tongue gets used to being restrained, Allah (Exalted is He) will thereupon expand his feelings and purify his mind. It will be as if he had no knowledge of lying, and when he hears it from another he will reproach and rebuke him for it within himself. If he prays for the person to be rid of it, there will be a reward for him.

3.He should beware of promising something to someone and then failing to keep his promise. He would do better to stop making promises altogether, so as to gain strength for his task and to keep his sense of purpose, since breach of promise is tantamount to lying. If he acts on this advice, the Lord will open to him the door of liberality and the degree of modesty, and he will be granted love among the truthful and higher esteem in the sight of Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He).

4.He should avoid cursing anything in the realm of creation, or hurting anything from a mere atom upward. This is one of the moral standards of the pious and the champions of truth. It yields a good result for one who observes it, in that he enjoys Allah’s protection in this world, along with the spiritual degrees He has in store for him, and He delivers him from the pitfalls of perdition, keeps him safe from people, blesses him with human compassion, and brings him near to Himself (Almighty and Glorious is He).

5.He should avoid invoking evil on any fellow creature, even one who has wronged him. He should not cut him with his tongue, nor retaliate against him by word or deed. This virtue raises one who practices it to the highest ranks. If he cultivates it, he will achieve noble status in this world and the hereafter, love and affection in the hearts of all creatures near and far, answers to his prayers, popular acclaim, and respect in this world in the hearts of all believers.

6.He should not assert that he has evidence of polytheism, unbelief or hypocrisy on the part of any member of the Muslim community [people of the Qibla]. This is closer to mercy and higher in degree, since it is perfectly in keeping with the Sunna, very far from intruding on Allah’s knowledge and from incurring Allah’s wrath, and nearer to the good pleasure and mercy of Allah (Exalted is He). This is an honorable and noble doorway to Allah (Exalted is He), through which the servant is endowed with mercy for all creatures.

7.He should refrain from contemplating sinful offences, and restrain all his limbs and organs from participating in them. Such efforts bring the quickest reward to heart and body in the present life of this world, as well as the good things Allah holds in store in the hereafter. We beg Allah to bless us all, to educate us in these virtues, and to remove our base desires from our hearts.

8.He should avoid laying a burden of his, big or small, on any fellow creature. Rather should he relieve all creatures of his burden, regardless of what he needs or does not need, for this is the height of honor for servants and of nobility for the righteous. From this he gains strength to fulfill his duty to enjoin what is good and fair and forbid what is evil and unfair. All creatures should be of equal status as far as he is concerned. When this stage is reached, Allah moves him on toward annihilation [fana’], certitude, and confidence in Him (Almighty and Glorious is He). No other is raised to the same height, yet he sees all creatures as having equal rights. This is quite certainly the cause of honor for the believers and of nobility for the righteous, and it is very close to the gate of sincerity.

9.He must stop expecting human beings to satisfy his greed, and not let himself covet what they have at their disposal. Thus he will achieve the greatest honor, peculiar enrichment, vast dominion, splendid glory, pure certitude, and frank, unequivocal trust in the Lord. This is one of the doors to confidence in Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He), one of the doors to renunciation, leading to the attainment of piety and the perfect practice of religion. It is one of the marks of those who are wholly dedicated to Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He).

10.The tenth is humility, for it is with this virtue that the servant’s residence is erected, that his station is raised high, that his honor and eminence are made perfect in the sight of Allah (Glory be to Him) and in the sight of His creatures, and that he is empowered to achieve all his worldly and otherworldly goals. This virtue is the root, branch and consummation of all virtues, whereby the servant attains to the stations of the righteous, those who are content with Allah (Exalted is He) in joy and sorrow alike. This is the perfection of piety.Humility means that the servant never meets anyone without assuming him to be more worthy than himself. He will always say: “Perhaps he is better than I in Allah’s sight, and higher in degree.” If it is someone young, he will say: “This person has not offended Allah (Exalted is He) as I have done, so he is undoubtedly better than I.” If it is someone older, he will say: “This person served Allah long before I did.” If it is someone learned, he will say: “This person has received something I have not experienced, and has acquired something I have not acquired. He knows things of which I am ignorant, and he puts his knowledge into practice.” If it is someone who is ignorant, he will say: “This person has offended Allah in ignorance, while I have offended Him knowingly. I do not know what end He has in store for me, nor what end He has in store for him.” If it should be an unbeliever, he will say: “I don’t know; perhaps he will embrace Islam and come to a good end, and maybe I shall become an unbeliever and come to a bad end.”
This is the topic of sympathy [for others] and apprehension [about oneself], the first to become familiar and the last to remain with servants of the Lord. When the servant is like this, Allah (Exalted is He) keeps him safe from disasters, and brings him as a reward to the stations of loyalty to Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He). He then belongs among the chosen ones and friends of the All-Merciful, and among the enemies of Iblis, Allah’s accursed foe.

This is the gate of mercy, with the attainment of which gate of pride is demolished and the cords of vanity are severed, and the stage of self-aggrandizement in religious and worldly matters is left behind. This is the very marrow of worshipful service, the ultimate distinction of the self-denying, and the mark of the devout. There is nothing more admirable than this.

The servant should now prevent his tongue from discussing human beings and matters of no importance, otherwise he will accomplish nothing. Malice, pride and spite must leave his heart wherever he finds himself, his tongue should be the same in private as in public, his private and public wishes should be identical, and so should his words. All people should be as one to him in respect of sincere advice. He should not be one of those counselors who speak ill of one of Allah’s creatures, or condemn him for some action, nor should it please him to be told of someone’s faults. This vice is the bane of Allah’s servants, the ruin of the devout and the destruction of the pious, except for those whom Allah (Exalted is He) helps by keeping them safe in tongue and heart through His mercy, His grace and His beneficence.

Arrogance by Sheikh Haroon Hanif

Having a good opinion of your Muslim brother by Sheikh Haroon Hanif al-Maturidi

Social Justice and the Khawarij=by Abu Iyad Amjad Rafiq

Allah's Messenger sallahu alayhi wa salam said: There will come leaders who will not follow my guidance and will not follow my Sunnah. There will be amongst them men who have the hearts of devils in the bodies of humans. He (Hudhayfullah) asked: What should I Do O Messenger of Allah if I reach that? He replied, "You should hear and obey the ruler even if he flogs your back and takes your wealth, then still hear and obey" Muslim" (Eng tran. 3/1029/no4554) SAHIH MUSLIM Book 20, Number 4554

Alluding to the hadith of Ibn 'Abbaas, radiallaahu 'anhummaa, who said: Allaah's Messenger said,"He who sees from his ruler something he dislikes, let him be patient with him, for he who splits away from the Jamaa'ah by a handspan and then ...dies, dies a death of Jaahiliyyah" and in a narration, "then he has thrown off the yoke of Islaam from his neck." Reported by al-Bukhaaree

It was asked (by those present): Shouldn't we overthrow them with the help of the sword? He said: No, as long as they establish prayer among you. If you then find anything detestable in them. You should hate their administration, but do not withdraw yourselves from their obedience.[Sahih Muslim No. 4573-(The Book on Government

Shaykh Saleem Dhorat - Easy Path to Taqwa

Hazrat is a world reknown scholar and Shaykhul Hadeeth and founder of Islamic Dawah Academy, Leicester. His speeches have motivated and inspired many to change their lifestyles to one which is according to the instructions of Allah Ta'aala.

Shaykh Falaah ibn Ismail Mandakar-Our attitude towards the Sahabah

Our attitude towards the Sahabah should be that of love, respect, peace and purity of our hearts and tongues. Allah has described this in His saying:

"And those who come after them say: 'Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have believed.'" [59:10]

And the Prophet (saws) said, "The sign of faith is love of the Ansar and the sign of hypocrisy is the hatred of Ansar" [al-Bukharee, Muslim].

Why should we not be thankful to those who believed in the Prophet, assisted him, strove with their lives and wealth to make the Word of Allah supreme, preserved and transmitted to us our Religion? Who is more deserving that we pray for them and speak of them in the best manner and think of them with the best thoughts?

We should therefore mention their virtues and remain silent about any mistakes they made and about anything that occurred between them, as the Prophet (saws) advised us:

"When my Companions are mentioned then withhold" [Saheeh, at-Tabaranee].

And he also said, "Do not abuse my Companions, for if any of you were to spend gold equal to (mountain of) Uhud in charity, it would not equal a handful of one of them or even half of that" [al-Bukharee, Muslim].

And he said, "Whoever abuses my Companions, upon them is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people" [Saheeh, At-Tabaranee].

Muslim scholars have also been very strict in regard to the issue of speaking and thinking mistrustfully of the Sahaba. Imam Malik said that someone who finds in himself an ill-feeling or anger "ghaiDH" about the Companions is a kafir because Allah (s.w.t.) says "li-yagheeDHa bihim ul kuffar" - that He may enrage the disbelievers with them, i.e. the Sahaba [48:29]. And the `Ulama' also say if the Companions of the Prophet (saws) were disbelievers, dishonest or betrayed the Prophet, then the whole religion would be undermined. Because how do we know what the Prophet (saws) said, if the Companions of the Prophet (saws) were not honest and truthful? We cannot be sure. And this also applies to the Qur'an, as we received the Qur'an through the Sahaba as well. Indeed, they were truthful and sincere, as Allah described them:

"Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah and showed not their backs to the disbelievers, of them some have fulfilled their obligations and some of them are still waiting, but they never changed (i.e. they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah) in the least." [33:23]

'Make the most of life' - Shaykh Muhammad Mukhtar Ash-Shinqitee

Shaykh Muhammad Mukhtar Ash-Shinqitee discusses life from both perspectives...

i. 'Life is an easy prey' - meaning this life is filled with deception, lure, materialism, etc
ii. 'Life as a profitable commodity' - when organized, life can be filled with happiness and be the force driving one to paradise.

Basically meaning - since we are in this world, one can either keep complaining or make the most of it. He later discusses the importance of the remembrance of Allah, and then reminds us about the significance of Salah.

May Allah reward brother Abdullah ibn Mubaarak for the translation. Though there might be some errors in the translation :)

( Sharia ) Abandoning the ruling of Allah!

From Tafsir Ibn Kathir:
Allah said,

[وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْكَـفِرُونَ]

(And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the disbelievers.) Al-Bara' bin `Azib, Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman, Ibn `Abbas, Abu Mijlaz, Abu Raja' Al-`Utaridi, `Ikrimah, `Ubaydullah bin `Abdullah, Al-Hasan Al-Basri and others said that this Ayah was revealed about the People of the Book. Al-Hasan Al-Basri added that this Ayah also applies to us. `Abdur-Razzaq said that Ath-Thawri said that Mansur said that Ibrahim said that these Ayat, "Were revealed about the Children of Israel, and Allah accepted them for this Ummah.'' Ibn Jarir recorded this statement. `Ali bin Abi Talhah also stated that Ibn `Abbas commented on Allah's statement,

[وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْكَـفِرُونَ]

(And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the disbelievers,) "Whoever rejects what Allah has revealed, will have committed Kufr, and whoever accepts what Allah has revealed, but did not rule by it, is a Zalim (unjust) and a Fasiq (rebellious) and a sinner.'' Ibn Jarir recorded this statement.

Eating the Fruits of Disunity - Shaykh Ahmed Ali

The Bellies of the Ummah is filled with these Fruits...

The Current State of the Muslim World - Shaykh Saleem al-Hilaalee

It has become apparent in our time that the Ummah is suffering from afflictions, which have caused it to lose its balance. These afflictions are:

The State of Weakness: This state has been described to us, and we have been warned about it clearly and explicitly, leaving no excuse for ignorance. Thawban (radi Allaahu 3anhu), one of the Prophet's
(salla Allaahu alayhi wassalam) servants, stated that the Prophet (salla Allaahu alayhi wassalam) said: "Soon the nations will call one another against you, just as people call one another to eat from a platter of food."

A man asked: "Will this be because we will be few in number, O Messenger of Allaah?" He (salla Allaahu alayhi wassalam) replied: "No, you will be large in number, but you will be Ghuthaa'a like the froth scum on the surface of a body of water, and Allaah will remove from the
hearts of your enemies their fear of you and shall place in your hearts Wahn." Those present asked: "What is Wahn, O Messenger of Allaah?" He replied: "The love for this worldly life, and hatred of death." [Saheeh hadeeth due to a multitude of routes of narration in the Sunan of Aboo Daawood (4297)]

The following hadeeth clearly explains this condition of wahn:

First: Our enemies, the hosts of Iblees and his servants, have tried to hinder the progress of the ummah and take from its territories when they see that wahn has set in and inflicted us. Ever since the dawn of Islaam until today, the kufaar and mushrikeen from amongst the People of the Book have continued in their endeavour against the Muslims. They have always sought out ways to render our people weak. They have even attempted this in the very city that was established and fostered by the Prophet (salla Allaahu alayhi wassalam). This is clearly illustrated in the story of "The Three that were left behind" (see Soorah al-Tawbah: 118). Ka'b bin Maalik (radi Allaahu 3anhu) said:

"As I was walking in the market place of Madeenah, I saw a farmer who was a part of a trading caravan from Shaam selling some of the foodstuffs that he had brought with him. He was asking as to where he could find me and was then directed to me. He then handed to me a letter from the (Christian) king of Ghasaan. Being literate, I began reading it. It said: "To proceed: We have received news that your friend (Muhammed salla Allaahu alayhi wassalam) has spurned you. Allaah does not wish for you to remain in a land of disgrace. Come to us and we shall take care of you." [Agreed upon]

O Muslim, ponder and reflect upon how the people of disbelief, those encircling the territory of the Muslims, receive news of what is occurring within our lands. They sit in wait, seeking an opportunity to unleash their assault. This can be clearly shown in the following examples as well.

Political Awareness-view the world from a special angle (the angle of Islamic Aqeeda)

Political Awareness
This is a chapter from the translation of the Arabic book مفاهيم سياسية لحزب التحرير ‘Mafahim Siyasiyah’, Political Concepts of Hizb ut-Tahrir. This is the revised edition of the book which was published in 2005 C.E. in English by Revival Publications.

Political awareness does not only mean to be aware of the political situations, the international position, and the political events or to follow up the international politics and the political actions, although these are part of the requirements for a comprehensive political awareness. Rather, the political awareness is to view the world from a special angle, which for us is the angle of Islamic Aqeeda. It is the angle of:

لا إله إلاّ الله محمد رسول الله

“There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

أُمِرتُ أن أقاتل الناس حتى يقولوا :لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله، فإذا قالوها عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلاّ بحقها.

“I have been commanded to fight against the people till they say: There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; if they said it they would have safeguarded from me their blood and their property except for its due right.”

This is political awareness. Thus, viewing the world without having a specific angle is considered superficiality and not political awareness. Viewing the local arena or the regional domain is considered triviality and not political awareness. There cannot be political awareness except with the presence of two factors: the view must be to the entire world; and that this view must emerge from a special defined angle no matter what this angle is, whether it is an ideology, a particular idea or a certain interest or anything else. This is the reality of political awareness. Of course, for the Muslim, political awareness must come from the angle of the Islamic creed. So if this is the reality of the political awareness, then it is a natural necessity for the politician to engage himself in the struggle in order to form a particular concept about life for man in his capacity as a man, wherever he lives. The formation of this concept is the first responsibility thrown on the shoulder of the politically aware person who would not rest unless he makes the effort to form it.

The politically aware person must struggle against all the trends which contradict his view, and against all concepts which oppose his. At the same time he strives to firmly establish his own concepts and direction. So he heads in two directions simultaneously, and these directions never part in struggle from each other at all, even by the measure of a hair, because they are one thing. So he dismantles and establishes, destroys and builds, clears away the darkness and ignites the light. Thus, as it was said, he is a fire that burns the falsehood, and a light lighting the path of guidance. As he engages in consolidating the concepts and planting the directions, he concerns himself in applying the thoughts on the events, and in distancing himself from abstraction and logic. He also enters into struggle against the directions, strife and slanders attacking his view of life, and against the deep-rooted concepts which developed during the age of decline, and against the mischievous influence which the enemies spread about the Islamic thoughts, and against belittling the high aims and distant goals into partial aims and immediate, impatient goals. So he struggles on two fronts: internal and external, and in two directions: destroying and building; and he works on two levels: the politics and the thought. In summary, he immerses himself into the battlefield of life in its most high and valuable sense. Therefore, the collision of the aware people with the issues, through their friction with the situation, people and life’s problems, is inevitable, whether at the domestic local scene or the worldly international one. Through this collision, his capability will emerge in giving the message which he carries, and the special angle from which he views the world, according to the concept which he adopts, as the basis, the judgement, and the goal which he strives to establish and the aim which he endeavours to achieve. But because he commits himself with a special view, and because he has a certain taste and inclination, whether they are natural or ideological, unless he is fully aware of himself he might colour the facts in the colour he likes, and interpret the thoughts the way he wants, and understand the news to give the result which he wants to arrive at. Therefore, he should be aware lest his inclinations dominate his opinions and the news.

The self desire for a personal, or a partisan or ideological thing might make him interpret the opinions and news wrongly, or it could add to it points that make him think the opinion is true when it is false, or think it false when it is true. Therefore, the aware person should understand the speech which is said and the actions which are made. In regard to the events, whether they were matters or incidents, he must understand them tangibly and logically, as they are, not as he wants them to be. With regard to the thoughts, he has to understand them according to their reality, so he moves with his mind outside, to see by his heart the reality expressed by that thought, and understand that thought according to his vision of the reality which denotes it, as it is, not as it agrees with what he wants. It is true the expression might be figurative, metaphorical or indirect (kinaya). It might also be a sentence, whose meaning comes from its syntax and not from its words. However, this does not prevent him from moving outside (his mind) and viewing the reality that indicates it, in accordance with the imports of the language as mentioned by linguists. So, the politically aware person must go along with the truth, but in accordance with his viewpoint that he embraces with certainty and conviction. He must see the facts as they are, in accordance with his perception or intellectual vision. In this way he will perfect his awareness after he takes account of the means of perfection. However, the basis of everything he has in terms of vision, comprehension, perception and understanding must remain to viewing the world from a specific angle.

The following question might arise in this context. How can the political aware be free in terms of sticking to the truth and viewing the facts as they are despite his view of the world from a specific angle? If such a question arises, then this is due to the superficial view of the matters. If the person was deep in study, then such a question would not arise. This is because there is a difference between the reality of things and judgement upon them. People do not differ over the reality of things. If the matter is related to sight, then whoever has sight would see the thing as it is, unless he is cheated or deceived. If it was related to sensation, then whoever has sensation he would sense the thing, whether it was by tasting, like the bitter taste or the sweet, or by senses like the soft and rough, or by hearing like the sounds, or by smelling like the smells. Thus, people sense things as they are, despite the disparity in that. However, people can differ regarding judgement on things. So, viewing the world from a specific angle is related to judgement on things and actions. Viewing the facts is related to the senses and comprehension. Therefore, it is necessary to see the facts as they are and to stick to the truth. It is necessary as well to view the world, incidents and things from a specific angle.

How can this apply to international politics? We can examine some examples that show the way of viewing the political events from a specific angle. These examples will be from the politics of the Messenger (saw), politics of the middle ages and the current political examples.

The specific angle from which the Messenger (saw) used to view the world was propagating the da’wa. Since the Quraysh were the leading state in the Arab Peninsular, and were the head of kufr in obstructing the da’wa, he directed his attention to confine the political and military actions to them. So, he sent the spies to observe them, stand up against their trade and involve in wars with them. He was content that other states, i.e. tribes will stand as spectators, or as they say: they stand neutral. Thus, his political and military actions used to emanate from viewing the world from a specific angle. When the Messenger (saw) came to know that Khayber was negotiating with Quraysh for concluding an alliance between them to attack Medina, destroy Mohammed (saw) and crush Islam, he defined the angle of action to conclude a truce or peace treaty with Quraysh and thus devote himself to crushing Khayber. From this special angle he adopted the policy of peace with Quraysh as the basis of his future actions as long as these actions fulfilled his aims. So all his actions in this period i.e. going to Umrah, accepting that the Quraysh avoid him, his soft attitude towards the obstinance of the Quraysh, and opposing his companions, etc. were all done in accordance with his peaceful policy. So, his view of the political actions towards his enemy which he focused his attentions upon, emerged from a special angle and were modified according to the requirements of this special angle.

These are two examples of the actions of the Messenger (saw); one of them is general which is focusing on a great state that comes at the head of his enemies, based on a specific angle. The second is a particular action, which is to focus on a particular objective, and thus make it a specific angle. This makes it clear how the view of political events from a special angle dominates the actions and the behaviour, and had not the view been taken from a special angle the actions would have had no meaning.

The great powers after the Berlin conference took the plunder of the Islamic state’s (Ottoman state) properties as the special angle of their view, although they discussed both the destruction of the Islamic state and its plunder it was the latter issue they adopted. Thus they modified their actions to suit the robbing of the Ottoman state and hence entered into a political struggle with each other for more than a century. Though the struggle ended with the destruction of the Islamic state, this was not the special angle from which these countries viewed the political events and actions.

After World War II, America said the world is a company, and America has the biggest number of its shares, so the management of this company must be in her hand. She took this saying as the specific angle from which she viewed the world. So, her actions conformed to this angle; and she started to look at the political actions that take place in this world from this angle. The view from this angle made her agree with, rather ally herself with the SU, and made her snub England and France. After the collapse of the SU, her view changed; so she did not only snub England and France, rather snubbed the entire states of the world. She exaggerated in that course till she disavowed the international pacts agreed upon by the entire world. So, she withdrew from the Kyoto agreement, and refused to enter the treaties regarding the removal of the land mines, and regarding establishing an international court of crimes and others. The specific angle from which she views the world came to be built upon the basis of the absence of equals with whom she can ally herself on equal footing. Thus, she turned to unilateralism; and started to deal with other great states with hegemony and supremacy.

This is the manner by which the view towards the political events of the world should be taken from a special angle, whether this angle is general, like taking the spread of da’wa as the basis of foreign policy, or specific, like restricting the enmity towards a specific country whose defeat would enable us to go forth in the world. The angle can also be more specific than this, like engaging in a political war, so that the other countries can see a model of our political wars. So the application of the view to the political actions and events from a special angle is an easy matter which does not need the practice of politics in reality. To understand this, it is enough to review the political events deeply. From this it becomes clear that following politics and comprehending the political concepts must lead to the creation of political awareness. This political awareness is very essential for political work and it is a necessary precursor for having influence on the political events.

Seeing that political awareness has become intuitive for the great countries, and the knowledge of international politics is the daily bread of the politicians, then the sons of the Muslim Ummah who are the sons of the Islamic state, are supposed to have political awareness as the first political concept to be endowed with, and the basis of their political actions. They are also supposed to make an effort to make this political awareness common between the masses and intuitive within society and the daily bread of the politicians. Their major function and prime role is the spread of the Islamic da’wah in the world and spreading guidance amongst mankind. This cannot be achieved unless they are politicians and view the world from a special angle and enjoy full political awareness.

In order that political awareness does not appear as something too big, and that it not be considered a huge thing that is only possible for the intelligent and educated people, they should know that it is an easy matter and it is also possible for the illiterate and common people. This is true, because political awareness does not require an acquaintance with the political actions in the world nor an acquaintance with everything in Islam or with what must be taken as the special angle to view the world. It rather means that the view should be towards the world, regardless of how much information he has about it, and it is this view which must be from a special angle. So what matters is that the view should be universal, even if the action is a single political action, and this worldly view must be from a special angle. So the view of the world from a special angle is enough indication for the political awareness.

It is true that this political awareness differs in strength and weakness according to the amount of information the person has about the world and the political events, and also differs according to the knowledge that person has about the special angle. However, it is still political awareness which leads to the same result i.e. an elevation above superficiality in politics and triviality in looking at the events. Accordingly, the political awareness is not restricted to the politicians and thinkers, and it is wrong for it to be restricted to them. It must be common to all the people and it can be established among the illiterate and common people, as it can be established amongst the scholars and the learned people. The political awareness must be established amongst the Ummah even in a general manner, this is because the Ummah is the soil in which men grow. So this soil must be a soil of political awareness in order to be able to produce men of real character and in order to be able to criticise the leaders, to evaluate the men, and to face the foreign dangers with real awareness.

The manner of generating political awareness in the individuals and in the Ummah is political culturing in the political sense, whether it was culturing with the thoughts and rules of Islam, or it was the follow up of the political events. Thus, a Muslim politician must be cultured with the thoughts and rules of Islam, not as abstract theories, but rather by connecting them with realities. He should also follow up the political events, not like the journalist who follows up the news or like the teacher who aims at gaining information. He should rather view them from the special angle so as to issue his judgement upon them, to link them with other events and thoughts, or to link them with the reality (a political action as an example) that takes place before him. This political culturing with the ideology and politics is the method of generating the political awareness in the Ummah and the individuals; and it is the matter that makes the Ummah assume her prime task and original duty, which is carrying the da’wa to the world, and spreading guidance among people. Therefore, political culturing is the method of generating political awareness in the Ummah and individuals. Accordingly, the Muslim Ummah must be cultured politically on the largest possible scale, because this is what establishes political awareness and helps the Ummah to produce a mass of creative politicians.

25 PROMISES* ------ 15, 16th & 17th Promise‏

In the name of Allah, the Most-Gracious, the Most-Merciful

Praise be to Allaah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide.I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Promise 15: Allah will guide you

I might say this point is a contradiction. You already believe, so you are already guided. How come you need guidance? Well the thing is that, even if you are a believer you still badly need the guidance of Allah. Infact, your need for hidaya (guidance) is so great that the only dua’ (supplication) that is mandatory for you to repeat is “Ihdina As-Siraata Al-Mustaqeem” (Guide us to the straight path- Quran 1:5). Your salah (prayer) is invalid without this dua’. Even though you are guided and you are praying, you still need to ask Allah 17 times a day in fard (obligatory) salah and many more times in nafl (voluntary)/ sunnah salah to guide you. Allah ‘azzawajal says: “Those who believe and work righteousness, their Lord will guide them because of their faith…” [10:9].

Fill your faith, Allah will guide you.

Promise 16: Blessings

Allah will bless you. Allah says: “If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah We should indeed have opened out to them all kinds of blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth) and We brought them to book for their misdeeds” [12:96]. Allah is promising barakat (blessing) to the people who believe. But this is more of a collective effort.

Now, when we believe we shouldn’t believe for the blessings in dunya. Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwassalam would not promise the sahaba duniya. When the Ansar (Medinan tribe) came to Rasulullallah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwassalam, Rasulullallah said’ “I want from you my protection like you protect your wealth and your family.” The Ansar said’ “This is our duty, what is your part of the bargain?” Rasulullallah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwassalam said, “Al-Jannah! (paradise), I can promise you nothing but Jannah. I am not going to promise you a government, I am not going to promise you wealth, I can only promise you Jannah.”

So when we work, we should do it for the sake of Allah and getting the reward from Allah in the Akhirah (hereafter). But Allah tells us that if this earth has sins, the sins take away the barakah and if there is iman (belief in Allah) it would bring the barakah.

When will this earth be ruled by Islam?-- In the time of Isa ‘alaihisalam. So Rasulullallah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwassalam said that, there will be so much barakah in those days that the milk coming from a cow will be enough for an entire tribe. One fruit will be enough for a clan; just one fruit would be so big that it would be enough for a clan. And there will be so much baraka on the earth that Rasulullallah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwassalam said “If you throw a seed over a solid bed rock, it would grow!” That’s how much Baraka will be in the lands---why?---because the world will be governed by Islam. Now because of the dhulm (oppression) the Baraka is taken out.

Promise 17: Peace and Security

Everyone claims that they want to bring peace to the world and we see the big liars coming on TV today and saying that they are gonna promise the people peace, free them form their misery, give them a better life. But these are lies, only Allah can give you peace and Allah ‘azzawajal will give the believers ‘Amn (security). Allah says, “It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are truly in (security) for they are on (right) guidance.” [6:82].

Again, about the time of Isa ‘alaihisalam Rasulullallah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwassalam says, “And all religion will perish in his time except for Islam and peace will descend on land.” He also said that, “Lions will play with camels, and tigers will play with cows, and wolves with play with sheep, and children will play with snakes and yet nobody will be harmed.” So the peace will transcend and go beyond human’s world to even the animal world. Not only does Islam benefit the life of man but it even benefits what they call the ecosystem. Peace will surround the entire planet. Lions are gonna be so happy and well fed that they could play with camels. Children can play around with snakes, I mean how much fun would it be for our children to play with snakes? I’m sure many of our kids would want to do that now but it’s too dangerous. To play with a snake I think it’s a lot of fun especially for kids but they wouldn’t be able to do that until the time of ‘Isa.

Peace will come down on earth…

Millions are living below the bread line!

The end result of this climate of fear is an unjust society where the Muslims have no say in their own affairs. The economic ruin the Muslims experience results in them living day-to-day just trying to stay alive. With Muslims busy with their survival, they have no time to replace the current regimes in the Muslim lands with the just rule of Islam.

The hardship caused by the rulers has resulted in such a fitnah that Muslims are even attempting suicide! SubhanAllah! Can we imagine we are living in era where Muslims are attempting to commit suicide – when it is well known that it is a major sin?

This extreme hardship also makes some Muslims take desperate measures in an attempt to move to prosperous countries, such as Canada, US, European countries and Australia. For example, a boat carrying 72 people crashed near an island off of Australia. About 30 men, women, and children were killed in the boating accident. All of the emigrants were originally from Iraq and Iran. Similar stories are told of Muslims who flee to Europe, many dying along the way.

The problem that we face with respect to the corruption in the Muslims lands is a global problem. All the Muslim rulers – from Morocco to Indonesia – subordinate the affairs of this noble Ummah to serve the interests of the masters who live in the capitals of Europe and North America. Consequently, we are all suffering from the same disease and therefore need the same solution.re-establish the Khilafah State in the Muslim lands.

Hadeeth 13 : Loves for his Brother that which he Loves for Himself

Hadeeth 13 : Loves for his Brother that which he Loves for Himself

________________________________________

On the authority of Abu Hamzah Anas bin Maalik (radiAllaahu anhu) - the servant of the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) - that the Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said :
None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself.

It was related by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim

Explanation of Hadeeth Number 13

This hadeeth has been narrated thus in Saheeh al-Bukhaaree as "for his brother" without any doubt on the part of the narrator, while in Saheeh Muslim the narrator mentions that the wording may have been "for his brother" or "for his neighbour".

The 'ulamaa have said that the meaning of the hadeeth is that the one who does not have this characteristic has not believed with the complete and perfect eemaan, while he has already achieved the basic level of eemaan.

And the intented meaning of "loves for his brother" is those things which are from obedience to Allaah, and the permissible matters, as opposed to the evil or Haraam matters, and this is proved from the narration collected by an-Nasaa'ee which mentions : "until he loves for his brother from the good that which he loves for himself".
Shaykh Abu 'Amr ibn as-Salaah said : And this appears to be something which is difficult/unobtainable, but this is not the case, beacuse its meaning is that the eemaan of one of you is not completed/perfected until he loves for his brother in Islaam that which he loves for himself [and not that he has no eemaan at all until he does so]. And establishing this is obtained through loving that he obtains something good without vying/competing with him in obtaining that thing, meaning that he does not desire any decrease in him of blessing. [This is the opposite of hasad or jealousy, where one wishes that his brother is deprived of a blessing, and that you posses it instead]. And this is easy and attainable for the Pure and Upright heart, but is difficult for the corrupt heart - may Allaah ta'aalaa forgive us and all of our brothers.

And Abu az-Zinaad said : What is apparent from this hadeeth is that one desires for ones brother the same as that which one wishes for oneself, but the real meaning is that one desires for him better than what one wishes for oneself. This is because man always wishes that he is the best of the people [in all things]; so if he loves for his brother what he loves for himself [to be the best], then he has placed his brother amongst the generality of those who are the best. [Also,] do you not see that man desires to receive justice for his rights and injustices done against him ? So if he has completed/perfected his eemaan, and then he sees that he has wronged his brother or his brother has a right upon him, then he makes haste to establish justice in that affair, even if this may cause himself difficulty.

And it is narrated that al-Fudail bin 'Iyaad said to Sufyaan bin 'Uyaynah "If you wish that the people are similar to you then you have not offered to Allaah, the Most Generous, the True Naseehah [sincerity - see Hadeeth 7], so how will it be if you love that they are less than you ?"

And some of the 'Ulamaa have said based upon this Hadeeth that the believer with another believer is like a single soul, and so it is desired that he loves for him that which he loves for himself, since they are as though a single soul. And similar to this has come in another hadeeth : "The Believers are like a single body; if a single limb feels pain, then the whole body along with it suffers with fever and sleeplessness."

Summary :
• The hadeeth negates the perfection/completeness of Faith (eemaan) for someone who does not wish for his Muslim brother that which he likes for himself
• That a believer will not want something to happen to another Muslim which he would not like for himself
