The Greatest man in history


Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) is the greatest man in history.You will see what said many of non-muslim thinkers and intellectuals throughout history. Muslims love God mean Allah(There is no god except Allah)in first place and Prophet Mohammed in second place. Muslims pray only for God (Allah) and Muhammad is the Messenger and servant of Allah.

Considering the qualities and This "A-Z" on Muhammad, peace be upon him, deals with well established facts about Muhammad, peace be upon him, but certainly does not include everything there is to know about Muhammad, peace be upon him. Volumes and encyclopedias and even libraries have been dedicated to presenting the picture of this great man.

A. Articulate - Muhammad, peace be upon him, although unable to read or write throughout his entire life, was able to express himself in clear and decisive terms and in the best of classical Arabic language.

B. Brave - Muhammad, peace be upon him, was praised for his courage and bravery during and after his life by his followers and opponents alike. He has always been an inspiration to Muslims and even non-Muslims throughout the centuries.

C. Courteous - Muhammad, peace be upon him, always put other people's feelings ahead of his own and was the most courteous of hosts and the best of guests wherever he went.

D. Dedicated - Muhammad, peace be upon him, was determined to carry out his mission and present the message with which he had been sent, to the entire world.

E. Eloquent - Muhammad, peace be upon him, claimed he was not a poet, yet he could express himself in the most concise manner, using the least amount of words in a most classic manner. His words are still quoted by millions of Muslims and non-Muslims today everywhere.

F. Friendly - Muhammad, peace be upon him, was noted for being the most friendly and considerate of all who knew him.

G. Generous - Muhammad, peace be upon him, was most generous with his possessions and never wanted to keep anything if there was anyone who was in need. This was true of gold, silver, animals and even food and drink.

There is No God but Allah. He listens to all that speak. And He knows the secrets of the silent. Those who live Allah sustains them. All those that die return back to Allah.

Surah (6) El-Anam.13

“To Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day.

And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.”


Listen to what Allah (SWT) says in hadith Qudsi:

“I accept salat from those whose salat make them humble and wanting for my

greatness. And its does not make them arrogant amongst my servants. And he doesn’t

go to bed insistent in commenting sins. And he spends his day in my remembrance

(Dhikr of Allah).”


Righteousness in the heart and will have welcome in the presence of Allah.

Surah (13) Al-Rad. 28

“Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrances of

Allah, Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are blessed.

Everything glorifies Allah.


Surah (17) Isra (44, p.379)

“The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein,
Declare His glory. There is not a thing but celebrates His praise.
And yet you understand not How they declare His glory!
Verily He is oft-Forbearing Most Forgiving!

O Allah! Accept all that has been said, through Your mercies. O Allah! Make me and all the listeners Your beloved ones. O Allah! You alone have given me the taufiq to use my tongue for imparting Your message, and You alone have given the listeners taufiq to use their ears for listening to Your message. O Allah! You are most benevolent, if You have accepted our tongue and ears then surely You will accept our whole body, our hearts and also our souls. O Allah! join us with Your friends and the honest people. O Allah! reform our character and bless us with cleanliness of the heart. Save us from all calamities, problems, sorrows and grief.

O Allah! Bless us with peace and give us a life of being in Your pleasure all the time. O Allah! All those who intend going for Haj, make it easy for them and bless them with an accepted Haj. O Allah! bless people with the hidayat and understanding of performing their haj before death overtakes them, so that they may not fall under the category of those dying as Jews or Christians.

O Allah! Please accept these du'as of ours. Amin.

He is the author or editor of 25 books, and has published over 181 scientific papers. In 1991, he received the most distinguished award presented in the field of anatomy in Canada. "It seems to me that Muhammad was a very ordinary man. He could not read or write. In fact, he was illiterate. We are talking about 1400 years ago. You have someone who was illiterate making profound pronouncement and statements and are amazingly accurate about scientific nature. I personally cannot see how this could be mere chance. There are too many accuracy’s and, like Dr. Moore, I have no difficulty in my mind in concerning that this is a divine inspiration or revelation which led him to these statements."

Joe Leigh Simpson, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the North Western University in Chicago in the United States of America. Professor Simpson said: It follows, I think, that not only is there no conflict between genetics and religion, but in fact religion can guide science by adding revelation to some traditional scientific approaches. That there exists statements in the Qur’aan shown by science to be valid, which supports knowledge in the Qur’aan having been derived from Allah.

We need research into the history of early Middle Eastern oral traditions to know whether in fact such historical events have been reported. If there is no such record, it strengthens the belief that Allah transmitted through Muhammad bits of his knowledge that we have only discovered for ourselves in recent times. Professor Tagata Tagasone, formerly Head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Shiang Mai in Thailand. He is now the Dean of the College of the Medicine at the University. From my studies and from what I have learned throughout this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Qur’aan 1400 years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the One Who is an eligible Creator. This Creator must be Allah, or Allah. Therefore, I think this is the time to say ‘Laa ilaaha illallah’, that there is no Allah to worship except Allah, ‘Muhammad Rasool Allah’, Muhammad is messenger of Allah...

Allah's Love to man..

Allah calls out: "O My slaves! You sin morning and evening and I forgive all your sins. So call on Me, I will forgive you all your sins." –hadith e qudsi

"Repentance has a door whose span is the distance between East and West”; (and in another version "its span is the distance traveled in 70 years"). "It will not be closed until the sun rises from the West." –jist of ahadith

O slave of Allah!He has opened the door of repentance, so shouldn’t we enter it?

“Allah extends His Hands in the night to forgive the sinner of the day ,and extends His Hands in the day to forgive the sinner of the night”.

And He loves to hear our sorries.

Consider this story:

lt. is reported by a trustworthy man of the past that as he was passing through a street he saw the door of a house open. A woman came out with a child who was crying and pleading while she was pushing him out. She left him outside the house and slammed the door shut in his face. The child left the door and walked a distance. Then he stopped, looked about, began to think, and not finding any other place but his own house where he could take shelter nor anyone who would care for him as his mother would, he returned to his house dejected, sad. He found the door shut. He sat at the sill, put his cheek on the threshold and slept with tear marks on his cheeks. He was in this state when the mother opened the door. When she saw him in this state she could not control herself. She bent down, grabbed him to her bosom, began to kiss him and say in tears: "Oh my boy! My dear child! My very soul! Where were you? Didn't I tell you not to disobey me? Do my bidding, and don't force me to punish you, while I hate to do that." Then she carried the child back and closed the door behind her.

That is the story of a mother and a child: the story of disobedience, punishment, return, forgiveness and unbound love. But the Prophet, sallaAllahu alihi wasallam, has told us that , Allah loves His creation more than a woman does her child-He loves us more than 70 mothers.

Allah whose Mercy encompasses everything,is immensely pleased with a man when he repents and turns to Him.

"Give gifts to each other, as this will make you love one another." (narrated by Muslim)

"The most loved person by God Almighty on the Day of Judgement and nearest to Him is a just ruler. And the most hated person by God Almighty on the Day of Judgement and farthest from Him is an unjust ruler." (narrated by Tirmizi)

"If a Muslim loves his Muslim brother, he should inform him." (narrated by Tirmizi)

God would say on the Day of Judgement:

"Where are those who love each other for the sake of My glory? Today I will shelter them with My shade, as there is no shade today except My shade". (narrated by Muslim)

"God Almighty said: "My servant draws near to Me with nothing more loved by Me than the acts of worship that I have enjoined upon him. My servant continues to try to draw near to Me with more devotion, until I love him. When I love him, I will be his hearing with which he hears, his sight by which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, his feet on which he walks. When he asks Me for something, I will respond and when he takes refuge in Me, I will grant it to him. I do not hesitate in doing anything I intend to do as much as I hesitate in seizing the soul of My faithful servant; he hates death and I hate hurting him. "If God would love his servant He would call Archangel Gabriel and tell him "I love this person, therefore love him." And Gabriel would love him and call out in the heavens "God loves this person, therefore love him." And the inhabitants of the heavens would love him. Then he would be embraced by the people of this world. But if God would abhor his servant, He would call Gabriel and tell him "I abhor this person, therefore abhor him". And Gabriel would abhor him and call out in the heavens " God abhors this person, therefore abhor him." And the inhabitants of the heavens would abhor him. Then he would be abhorred by the people of this world." (narrated by Muslim)

"God Almighty said "I am as My servant expects Me to be. I am with him if he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, I would remember him to Myself. And if he remembers Me in a gathering, I would remember him in a gathering, which is even better. And if My servant draws near to Me by a hand's span, I would draw near to him by an arm's length and if he draws near to Me by an arm's length, I would draw near to him by a fathom's length. And if My servant comes to me walking, I would go to him speeding." (narrated by Bukhari)



"A strong believer is better and more loved by God Almighty than a weak believer, although both bear goodness. Thus, seek eagerly what benefits you the most and seek God's help. Do not show weakness in your struggle and if something bad happens to you, do not say "if I had done so and so, then such and such would not have happened", but say "it was my destiny and God has allowed what He wished" , because the word 'if' in this context would open the door for Satan to work on you." "A man came to the Prophet (may God's peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him "O God's Messenger, tell me of something I do to win God's love and people's love". The Prophet answered "Do not love this world, God would love you and do not have a longing for whatever people have, people would love you". (narrated by Ibn-Majah)

To have good opinion of Allah and to have good opinion among Muslims

To have good opinion of Allah and to have good opinion among muslims is one of the characteristics of a believer.Within every man lays all the answers that he knows, everyone have a little knowledge’s by Allah’s will that he can shares. A man can follow his heart, when he always learnt from his past mistake, purifying his soul and body. Every single effort to help those who been oppressed, even du’a for them in private will consider as sincere help Insyaallah. Man should correct his fault , he also have try to find qualities in others in order to correct his fault. Man that is knowledgeable in his speech is not ignorant in his heart but in his bad opinion to others and in himself , as good opinion on others will make him more than a person of knowledge. A person of understanding. After all his best effort to be a good believing man than he will leave it to Allah all his good deed and ask for forgiveness for his flaws . InsyaAllah, to have good opinion to Allah s.w.t is important. So if all of these conditions are fulfilled, good opinion of Allah will come to fruition in the heart.

For in the Qudsi Hadith, which was narrated by Abu Hurairah, Allah Most High says:

“I am as my slave thinks of me and I am with him whenever he remembers me.” (Agreed Upon).

In another hadeeth recorded by Muslim, Jaabir narrates that he heard the Prophet (saws) three days before his death as saying:

“Let none of you die without having a good opinion of Allah High and Mighty.”

There is no doubt that having good opinion of Allah is coupled with good actions. Just as having good opinion of Allah is one of the characteristics of a believer, the ill-opinion of Allah and the opinion that does not befit his Majesty is from the characteristics of hypocrites and polytheists who look at Allah with a view of Jaahilyyah (ignorance) and falsehood.

Yes, as a Muslim these days needs a lot of trust in Allah, and renewal of our faith in Allah, and great dependency on Him. We should also definitely know, believe, and understand that Allah is capable of anything, and that all issues return back to Allah and to no one else.

May Allah’s mercy be upon the poet who said:

"And the deen is victorious and tested,

Don’t be surprised,

For this is the way of Al-Rahmaan (the Most Merciful)..."

So revere Allah. Turn to Him in repentance and seek His forgiveness. Beware of having doubt and ill thoughts about Allah. We should accuse ourselves before forming a bad opinion about Allah.


Allah Most High says:

“And Allah is predominant over His affairs, but most of the people do not know.” [Yusuf: 21]

Do not let the temporary control that the oppressors have over the world deceive you. For verily Allah the All Mighty says:

“Be not deceived by the [uninhibited] movement of the disbelievers throughout the land. [It is but] a small enjoyment; then their [final] refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.” [Aal-Imraan 196-197]

Decree for us a swift defeat over them O Allah (Lord ) of the Universe.

May Allah reward you with goodness. Ameen.

The Prophet usually had a very friendly, inviting disposition. He smiled, and laughed as situations "naturally" warranted. Just like he did not try to artificially induce tears in his eyes, he did not suppress his laugh during situations that were humorous.Those Hadith that indicate Prophet's smile or laugh are very special, as those Hadith lightens up when need a little lift, also brightens my day every so often.There are also valuable lessons to be learned from these Hadith. Taking life with a balanced dose of jest is what the Prophet - ordered.The first few sayings of the Prophet below are an idea about the Prophetic perspective in this regard. This collection is merely to introduce that sense of humor is quite integral to our human life and so is also to us as Muslims.

A pillow talk..

Adi bin Hatim said: When the verse 'Until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread' was revealed, I took a white rope and a black rope, and placed them beneath my pillow; and then I looked at them, but they were not clear to my. So I mentioned it to the Apostle of Allah. He laughed and said: Your pillow is so broad and lengthy; that (what is being referred to) is blackness of night and whiteness of day." [Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol. 2, #2342]

The Prophet used to laugh too; sometimes till his front teeth were exposed...


Hadhrat Abu Dhar reported that the Prophet said: "I know the last of inhabitants of Paradise to enter it and the last of the inhabitants of Hell to come out it. He is a man who would be brought on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said: Present his minor sins to him, and withhold from him his serious sins. Then the minor sins would be placed before him, and it would be said: On such and such day you did so and so and on such and such day you did so and so. He would say: Yes. It will not be possible for him to deny, while he would be afraid lest serious sins should be presented before him. It would be said to him: In place of every evil deed you will have good deed. He will (then) say: My Lord! I have done things that I do not see here." I indeed saw the Mesenger of Allah laugh till his front teeth were exposed. [Sahih Muslim, Vol. 1, #365]


A Dollyy conversation and a hearty laugh!...

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: When the Apostle of Allah arrived after the expedition to Tabuk or Khaybar (the narrator is doubtful), the draught raised an end of a curtain which was hung in front of her store-room, revealing some dolls which belonged to her.

He asked: What is this? She replied: My dolls. Among them he saw a horse with wings made of rags, and asked: What is this I see among them? She replied: A horse. He asked: What is this that it has on it? She replied: Two wings. He asked: A horse with two wings? She replied: Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings? She said: Thereupon the Apostle of Allah laughed so heartily that I could see his molar teeth. [Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol. 3, #4914

The Prophet s.a.w was worried about the position of his Community in the next world, not for what its members have in this world.When people asked him about how to conduct their trade, he gave them directions, and when that trade failed, they came protesting to the Prophet s.a.w.He said ,"I am teaching you to build your life for the next world, not for this world."'' He taught us not to ask him for this life, but to ask for the Hereafter.When you do not know, when you are heedless of Allah's plan that you must summit to, then you carry all the worries of life.

The Messenger of God s.a.w is reported to have said:

Say often,"There is no strength nor power except God."Surely Say often, "There is no strength no power except God."Surely it is a treasure from Heaven, and in it is a healing for every malady, least of which anxiety.

Wife:Her Status and Rights in Islam

Like the rights and status of woman, the position of wife in Islam is also a subject of misconception in past history as in the modern world. Now-a-days Woman Day is observed all over the world and the main slogan is about woman's status and

rights. But considering the result of such observance, a question arises "Does it elevate a woman's status or give her the desirable right?" West has made woman an object of enjoyment and fun, deceiving her in the disguise of Savior of Woman and thus her status is being degraded.

Prophet (SAWS) urged to consider four points before selecting a spouse. They are beauty, wealth, family status and piety. Piety should come before all other considerations. Here, both the partners are hoped to be pious and sincere followers of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Both will be respectful for the rights and status of each other. This perception plays an important role for a happy and successful marriage.

In Islam, the rights and status of a wife is described precisely in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. In fact, only Islam gives her the worthy and glorious position. A woman becomes wife through marriage. She has the right to select her partner. As marriage is a sacred contract the selection process before marriage must be considered carefully by the man and woman. Our Prophet (SAWS) said, "Do not marry only for the beauty, may be the beauty becomes the cause of moral decline. Do not marry even for the sake of wealth, may be the wealth becomes the reason of disobedience; marry rather on the ground of religious devotion and piety."

In the Holy Qur'an, Allah (SWT) points to marital bond as one of His signs and says, "Among His signs is that He has created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts). Verily in that are Signs for those who reflect." (30:21). A virtuous wife is always a source of tranquility, love and mercy, as we find these in the great Muslim lady like Khadijah (R.A), the first wife of the Prophet (SAWS). Allah says, "It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature in order that he might dwell with her in love…." (7:189).

The two verses mentioned above state the great purpose of marriage i.e. tranquility and highlights the equal position of man and woman as both of them are created from "a single person". In Surah Baqarah (2:187) it is mentioned that "they (wives) are your garments and you are their garments". The inward meaning of garment is peace and security. Abdullah Yousuf Ali comments on this verse "Men and women are each other's garments i.e. they are for mutual support, mutual comfort and mutual protection, filling into each other as a garment fits the body. A garment is also both for show and concealment."

The Prophet (SAWS) said in reply to a questioner who asked about the best form of wealth, "The best wealth is a tongue which is wet with the remembrance of Allah and a health which is thankful to Allah and a believing, pious wife who helps her husband to keep to the practice of his faith." The references above from the Qur'an and Sunnah upgrades the statues of a wife.

A wife is entitled some financial and non-financial rights from her husband. A short description is given below:

1.The husband should give his wife the marriage gift or Mohr and this will be her own property.

2.The wife will get full maintenance from her husband e.g. food, clothing, housing, education, recreation, medication etc.

3.Even if the wife is rich, she need not spend single penny for her husband or family. All these are the responsibilities of her husband.

4.The mutually agreed conditions signed during the marriage contract become binding on both the spouses.

5.She has also the right to divorce her husband if necessary.

6.She can go to the court if her husband fails to meet her basic requirements.

7.The husband and wife have mutual inheritance rights from the time of marriage.

There are some misconceptions regarding the rights of wife in Islam. It is due to the misinterpretation of some Qur'anic verses and some prophetic traditions. It is a matter of disgrace to mention that, we Muslims are now Muslims by birth, and we like to recite the Qur'an without imbibing the main essence from it. We need to make a great deal of study on the Qur'an and Sunnah. Lack of knowledge always results misunderstanding, misconceptions, chaos, and deprivation of human rights and deviation from the truth. Evidently it can even ruin one's faith.

In the matter of inheritance it may appear that a woman's share is unfair as she gets half of her male counterpart. However, in deeper study, it emerges that woman has been dealt with very fairly. As a wife she gets full maintenance and Mohr and inherits from her husband's property in case his demise is before her. These are her own property and definitely these are her unearned property. Whereas she is free of any financial responsibilities rather she is entitled to enjoy all her property without spending a single penny for the maintenance of the family, relatives or other dependents. On the contrary, the husband is ordained to bear the financial responsibilities of the family. And hence he needs more money and wealth to fulfil his commitment to his family and children and if he fails to carry out the duties he is going to be accountable to Allah and the Islamic society..


Family is the basis of Islamic society. A wife deprived of her proper rights can not play her proper role to form an ideal family. The society will lose its balance if the foundation of the family is weak and not rightly constructed. An Islamic family, more precisely an Islamic wife, provides prosperity, balance and care for the coming generation. So if we can ensure the proper right and status of wife and free her from all forms of persecution, we can hope for a better future of a sound and well disciplined generation.

The best of you is the best one to his family

On the Day of Judgment :Allah will ask men if they fulfilled their obligations towards their families. They who fear Allah will do their best to direct the way his wife and children live by educating himself and his family to living according to the Sunnah of the Prophet(Sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) and the Holy Qur’an, the final word of Allah.

The Prophet(Sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said, “The best of you is the best one to his family.” [Al-Tabarani]

To share food with her, to provide her with (decent) clothes as he provides himself, to refrain from smacking her, and not ignoring her but in the house. [Ahmad]

One should not hate his believer wife. If he dislikes some of her attitudes, he would (surely) like others (attitudes). [Muslim]

Woman was created from a bent rib and will not be made straight for you on one way (that you like). If you want to enjoy her, you enjoy her while she is still bent. If you want to straighten her up, you will break her. Breaking her is divorcing her. [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

Do (volunteer) fasting (some days) and do not fast (in other days), pray at night (some nights) and sleep (in other nights). Your body has a right on you (to rest), your eye has a right on you (to sleep), and your wife has a right on you. [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

Fear Allah in (treating) women. [Muslim]

Be advised to treat women righteously. [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

And live with them honorably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing that Allah brings through it a great deal of good. [4:19]

The Prophet (Sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said,”A Dinar (a currency) that you spend on your family, a Dinar that you spend on a poor person and a Dinar that you spend in the sake of Allah. The one that carries the most reward is the one that you spend on your family.” [Muslim]

The Prophet(Sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said to Saaid ibn Abi Waqqas,”Know that no charity that you give whether small or large, for the sake of Allah, but you will be rewarded for it, even the bite (of food) that you put in your wife’s mouth.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

After the onset of puberty, the first stage of youth begins, a stage where energy is abundant and strength is continually increasing, which means that it is the stage most suited for winning rewards, doing good works, and avoiding sins and which one should be wary, for many or even most young people are inclined toward worldly desires, and prefer immediate pleasures to decent actions and observances.

it is unusual to find a youth established in obedience, longing for good works , and neglectful of worldly desires and ephemeral pleasures. 'Your Lord wonders at a young man who shows no passions.'(Hadith) And the Messenger of God, may blessings and peace be upon him, included among the seven that God will shade with His shade exist save His', a ' young man who grew up in the service of God '. it has been related that God the Exalted said:'O young man, who has abandoned his passions for My sake: you are to Me as are some of my angels.'

Hence young people should be very careful to protect themselves against being dragged into God's wrath and painful chastisement simply by their youthfulness; let them instead make into a means and ladder leading up to the good-pleasure of God and His tremendous reward.Let them remember the advice of God's Messenger, upon whom be blessings and peace, for he has more compassion and solicitude for us than ourselves, our fathers, and our mothers. He said: ' Seize (the opportunity to make use of) five (things) before five (other things catch up with you fall sick): your youth before you grow old, your health before you fall sick , your leisure before you are occupied, your wealth before you grow poor, and your life before you die.' And he said, upon him be blessings and peace: 'The feet of a servant will not move away (from where he stands on the Day of Rising ) until he is asked about five things: his life , and how he expended it, and where he obtained it and on what he spent it,' etc.

Youth is the time when acquiring merit, knowledge , and attaining to positions of religious leadership and eminance are possible. One poet has said:

If a youth has nothing to boast of when he reaches twenty years, he'll never have anything to boast of.

Another declared :

If you do not prevail in the nights of youth,

then you shall never prevail, though you live long.

Is most of your life other than youth?

Take what you can from it, and neglect it not.

Those of our righteous predecessors who lived long in the way of God and His obedience used to urge young people to seize the chance offered by their youth, saying: 'Use your youth before you became like us: old , feeble and too weak to perform many acts of goodness.' They said this even though despite their circumstances they were outstripping youngsters in striving for God, and a zeal and determination in His obedience.

We ask God the Exalted to render us among those He takes from life in the best of states, and protects from the trials of the life which is to come... Ameen.

Who wants to be a millionaire?

How great will be the regret of those who waste the opportunity!

1. Preserving the ties of kinship: " Whoever wishes that his provision be increased and his age lengthened, let him maintain the ties of kinship." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]

2. Performing many prayers in the two noble Harams (in Makkah and Madinah): "Prayer in this masjid of mine is superior to a thousand prayers elsewhere, except for Masjid al-Haram, and prayer in Masjid al-Haram is superior to one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere." [Ahmad and ibn Majah]

3. Performing prayers in congregation. "Prayer in congregation is superior to praying individually twenty-seven times." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

4. Praying `Isha and Fajr in congregation: "He who prays Isha' in Jama'ah [congregation] is as if he has prayed for half the night. As to him who (also) prays Fajr in congregation, it is as if he has prayed all night." [narrated by Malik and the wording is that of Muslim who also reported it]

5. Performing voluntary prayers at home. "Superiority of a man's prayer in his home over his prayer when people see him is like the superiority of an obligatory prayer over a voluntary one." [al-Bayhaqi, classed as Saheeh by al-Albani] "The most superior prayer of a person is in his home, except for obligatory prayers." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]

6. Observing some manners of the day of Jumu`ah. "Whoever ghassala (washes his head, and it is said: has intercourse with his wife so that it be a means to lower the gaze from the haram that day) on the day of Jumuah, then comes in the earliest time and before the first khutbah, walks and doesn't ride, stays near the Imam, listens and does not speak -- for each step [he makes] he has actions of one year, the reward of fasting and standing in prayer in it." [Ahl as-Sunan]

7. Salat ul-Ishraq. "Whoever prays al-ghadaa (i.e. al fajr) in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until sunrise, then prays two units of prayer, has a complete reward of Hajj and `Umrah [The Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, repeated 'complete' three times for emphasizing].. [at-Tirmidhi, classed as Saheeh by al-Albani]

8. Attending lectures in the mosque. "Whoever goes to the mosque not desiring except to learn or teach what is good has the reward of a pilgrim who completed his Hajj." [at-Tabarani, classed as Saheeh by Al-Albani]

9. Performing `Umrah in the month of Ramadhan. "`Umrah in Ramadhan is equal to a Hajj with me." [al-Bukhari]

10. Performing obligatory prayers in the Mosque. "Whoever leaves his home in a state of purity to perform obligatory prayer, his reward is like that of a pilgrim (while) in the state of ihram [i.e. he receives reward similar to that of spending time in ihram during Hajj].. [Abu Dawud, classed as Saheeh by Al-Albani] So one should be in a state of purity when leaving one's home, rather than the place for ablution within the mosque, except due to necessity.

11. Being from the people of the first row in congregational prayers. `Irbad bin Saariyah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "The Messenger of Allah, (saws), used to seek forgiveness for [the people of] the first row three times, and for [the people of the] second row once." [an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah]. "Allah and His Angels make salawat upon [the people of] the first row." [Ahmad, with a good isnad]

12. Prayer in Masjid Qubaa' in Madinah: "Whoever purifies himself in his house then comes to Masjid Qubaa' and prays in it has the reward like that of `Umrah." [an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah]

13. Saying what the caller to prayer says: "Say as they say [i.e. callers to prayer], and when you finish, ask and you will be given." [Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i] That is, supplicate when you finish repeating after the caller to prayer.

14. Fasting Ramadhan and following it with six days of Shawwal. "Whoever fasts Ramadhan, then follows it with six (days) of Shawwal, it is like fasting all the time." [Muslim]

15. Fasting three days each month. "Whoever fasts three days each month, it is like fasting all the time." [at-Tirmidhi]. This is supported by the verse, "Whoever comes with a good deed for him is a tenfold [reward]." One day being equal to ten days.

16. Providing food for breaking of the fast: "Whoever provides food for breaking of the fast of a fasting person receives the reward of the fasting person, without the reward of the fasting person being reduced in any way." [at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah]

17. Standing in prayer on Laylatul-Qadr. "Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months" [Qur'an 97:3], that is, superior to approximately 83 years of worship.

"There are two blessings which many people lose: good health and free time." [al-Bukhari]

Love is the source of wala' and hate is the source of bara'; it is by this that both the heart and the hand are moved to act. Wala' inspires intimacy, concern and help. Bara' provokes obstruction, enmity and rejection. Wala' and Bara' are both related to the declaration of faith and constitute essential elements in it. The evidence of this from the Qur'an and the Sunnah is considerable.
As for the Qur'an, consider the following ayat: "Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoever does this has no connection with Allah unless you are guarding yourselves against them as a precaution. Allah bids you to beware (only) of Himself. And to Allah is the journeying." [3:28]

And He says: "Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind), If you love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your wrong actions. Allah is Forgiving, Compassionate. Say, Obey Allah and the Messenger. And If they turn away, then surely Allah does not love the disbelievers." [3:31-32]

Speaking of the aims of the enemies of Allah, He says: "They long for you to disbelieve even as they disbelieve, so that you may be the same (as them). so do not choose friends from among them until they go out in the way of Allah." [4:89]

And also: "O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends of one another. And whoever of you takes them for friends is (one) of them. Surely Allah does not guide wrongdoing people." [5:51]

And lastly: "O you who believe! Whoever of you becomes a rebel against his deen, (know that in his place) Allah will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him, humble towards the believers, harsh towards the disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah, and not fearing the blame of any blamer." [5:54]
We will mention only a few of the many hadith and reports of the Companions on this subject. Imam Ahmad reports from Jarir ibn Abdullah that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, made him swear an oath to 'offer counsel to every Muslim and to steer clear of every disbeliever.'
(1) Ibn Shayba reports that the Prophet said, "The strongest bond of faith is love for the sake of Allah and enmity for His sake."
(2) Ibn Abbas reports that the Prophet said, "The strongest bond of faith is loyalty for the sake of Allah and opposition for His sake, love for the sake of Allah and enmity for His sake."
(3) Ibn Abbas is also reported to have said, "Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, and hates for the sake of Allah, and whoever seals a friendship for His sake, or declares an enmity for His sake, will receive, because of this, the protection of Allah. No one may taste true faith except by this, even if his prayers and fasts are many. People have come to build their relationships around the concerns of the world, but it will not benefit them in any way."
Shaykh Sulaiman ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab explained the words of Ibn Abbas by saying that the meaning of 'to seal a friendship for the sake of Allah' indicates the obligation of establishing relationships of love and trust for His sake; this is friendship for the sake of Allah. It also indicates that simple affection is not enough here; indeed what is meant is a love based upon alliance. This entails assistance, honour, and respect. It means being with those whom you love both in word and deed.

As for 'enmity for the sake of Allah', it includes the obligation to declare enmity for His sake: opposition for the sake of Allah. it is to declare opposition in deed, to take up arms against His enemies, to shun them, and to stay far from them both in word and deed. This proves that simple opposition of the spirit is not enough, and that it must be a complete honouring of your commitment, for Allah says: "There is a good example for you in Ibrahim and those with him, when they told their people: 'Surely we disassociate ourselves from you and all that you worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there has arisen between us and you enmity and hate for ever until you believe in Allah only'." [60:4]
All this leads us to conclude that loyalty for the sake of Allah really means to love Allah and to come to the assistance of His deen; it is to love those who are obedient to Him and to come to their help. Opposition for the sake of Allah is to feel anger at the enemies of Allah and to struggle against them. Because of this Allah has called the first group the "party of Allah" and the second the "party of Satan": "Allah is the Protecting Guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of darkness into light. As for those who disbelieve, their patrons are false deities. They bring them out of light into darkness. Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein." [2:257]

And Allah says: "Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the friends of Satan. Surely Satan's strategy is always weak." [4:76]

It is well known that Allah has never sent a Prophet on His mission without also raising up opponents against him. Allah says: "Thus have We appointed for every prophet an adversary - devils from mankind and the jinn who inspire in one another plausible words that are deceiving." [6:112]
It may be that opponents of Divine Unity possess some learning, a part of Revelation, and proof. As Allah says: "And when their Messengers brought them clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), they exulted in the knowledge which they (themselves) possessed. And that which they had become accustomed to mock befell them." [40:83]

It is the obligation of every Muslim to learn from Allah's deen whatever may serve as a weapon for him in the struggle against the friends of Satan. In this he should have no fear and no misgivings, since the devil's strategy is always weak. Allah says: "And surely that Our host would be the victors." [37:173] To the host of Allah shall be the victory in discussion and in debate, as in war and strife. In this way an ordinary man from the party of the One God will overcome a thousand scholars of the disbelievers.

If the aim of the enemies of Islam - whether they are atheists or Jews, or Christians or modernists, or Zionists or Communists - is the emasulation of the Aqeedah of the Muslims, and the erosion of their unique character in order to make them 'the ass of the chosen people', (as it is put in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion), then the urgency of this issue should become clear to every Muslim.

We should all take heed, for ourselves and for those who are with us, so that we may warn all the Muslims who are slipping away into the abyss of apostasy, warn them of the treacherous call of the disbelievers to what they call 'brotherhood and equality', warn them of the false claim that religion is for Allah but that nationhood is for the masses. We will return to this point in more detail later.

For the present, the evidence is clear from the Qur'an and the Sunnah that allegiance is demanded by the declaration of faith since this is an essential part of its meaning. As Ibn Taimiya has said, "The declaration of faith, there is no god but Allah, requires you to love only for the sake of Allah, to hate only for the sake of Allah, to ally yourself only for the sake of Allah, to declare enmity only for the sake of Allah; it requires you to love what Allah loves and to hate what Allah hates." It also requires you to ally yourself to the Muslims wherever you find them and to oppose the disbelievers even if they are your closest kin

A Call for Muslims Unity...

Say: “We believe in God and what has been sent down to us; what was sent down to Abraham, Isma‘il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes; and what Moses and Jesus and all the Prophets were given by their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them. We are Muslims submitted to Him.”

(Qur’an, 3:84)

The Islamic world covers a huge geographic area populated by 1.2 billion Muslims. Unfortunately, it is characterized by tension, conflict, and disorder, all of which continue to threaten global peace and prosperity.

All attempts to solve the region's problems have so far failed.But a review of its history shows that a strong central authority, ruling according to the Qur'anic morality and tolerance, as well as respecting all people's rights and belief systems, had enabled this vast region to live in peace. The Ottoman Empire was the most recent example of this. Considering the present-day conditions, it is a matter of urgency to bring about a new Islamic Union, which would enable the Muslim world, as well as the entire world, to live in peace.




One of the first things we notice when analyzing the state of the Islamic world is its many internal divisions due to deep-rooted distrust and disputes. Recent history has seen the Iran-Iraq war, Iraq's occupation of Kuwait, and East Pakistan's (Bangladesh) war of independence from West Pakistan. The civil wars and internal conflicts in Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and Algeria due to political and ethnic differences made it obvious that something is wrong with the Islamic world. In addition, very divergent religious views and models are being practiced in the Islamic world, because there is no central authority to determine what is and what is not compatible with Islam, establish consensus, and provide guidance to the general public. Catholics have the Vatican and Orthodox Christians have the Patriarchate, but there is no religious unity or central authority for Muslims.

However, solidarity is central to Islam's character. After the death of our Prophet Mohammed (may God bless him and grant him peace), the Islamic world was for a long time led by the institution of khilafah, which provided religious guidance to the Muslims.

In our day, too, a progressive central authority could be formed. Establishing an Islamic Union and a central Islamic authority, based on democratic principles and the rule of law, would be major steps forward in resolving the Islamic world's current problems.

As we progress through this book, we will analyze several aspects of this proposed Islamic Union, such as its ability to:

1- Reach all of the Islamic world. Therefore, it must be founded upon Islam's core principles and not become the organ of a particular denomination or sect.

2- Support human rights, democracy, and free enterprise, and seek to achieve its mission of economic, cultural, and scientific development in the Islamic world.

3- Establish friendly and harmonious relations with other countries or civilizations, and cooperate with the global community and the UN on such issues as controlling weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, international crime, and the environment.

4- Deal with the minority rights of Christians and Jews, as well as foreigners who migrate to Islamic countries, consider their safety a priority, and value interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

5- Seek fair and peaceful solutions whereby both sides make compromises to end conflicts between the non-Muslims and Muslims in Palestine, Kashmir, the southern Philippines, and other regions. It must defend the rights of Muslims as well as prevent radical Islamic movements from driving the situation to into a dead-end.



Such a rational, considered, and just leadership will benefit the 1.2 billion Muslims who are struggling with so many problems, as well as all humanity at large. An Islamic Union founded upon Qur'anic principles will enable humanity to find peace and justice, and the good character prescribed by the Qur'an will deliver happiness. Since the era of the Prophet Mohammed (may God bless him and grant him peace), Muslims led the way in science, reason, thought, art, culture, and civilization, and produced many benefits for humanity.

Those who desire a conflict between civilizations will cause more bloodshed and losses around the world. Establishing the Islamic Union will be the most important handicap before those who advocate conflicts.

When Europe was in its dark ages, Muslims taught the world science, reasoning, medicine, art, hygiene, and countless other subjects. In order to restart the rise of Islam, powered by the Qur'an's light and wisdom, present-day Muslims have to acquire guidance based on the Qur'an's morality and the Prophet's (may God bless him and grant him peace) Sunnah (His example, or way of life).



How can this project be realized? We will investigate this issue as we proceed. Also, it must be remarked here that out of all Islamic nations, Turkey in particular has an important role to play, as it is the heir of the Ottoman Empire, the founder of such an Islamic Union which it ruled successfully for over 5 centuries. Turkey has the social infrastructure and state tradition necessary to fulfill the requirements of this important responsibility. Furthermore, of all Muslim states, it has the best-developed relations with the West and is therefore ideally placed to mediate the differences between the West and the Islamic world.Turkey also has a tradition of tolerance and harmony, and represents the Ahl as-Sunnah belief as the majority of Muslims believe, rather than a certain sect. All of this makes Turkey the most qualified candidate for leading the envisaged Islamic Union.

Finally, the solutions proposed here need to be implemented immediately, because the risk of a clash of civilizations between the Western and Islamic worlds is increasing by the day. Setting up the Islamic Union will cause this danger to disappear.

History proves that the coexistence of different civilizations is not necessarily a source of tension and conflict. A multicultural state does not experience difficulties because of existing internal differences, but because of its inability to manage those differences. Different cultures that exist side by side choose either conflict or peace and cooperation, depending upon their existing levels of tolerance and whether they can or cannot control those factors leading to intolerance. At present, some Westerners and Muslims prefer hostility and conflict over tolerance and harmony.





Thus, misunderstandings and prejudices against

Islam and the Muslims continue to present certain difficulties. On the other hand, Westerners feel unnecessarily threatened because of various misunderstandings. Therefore, a solution to these problems is needed urgently to avoid even worse conflicts and misunderstandings.

The Islamic Union will play an important role in preventing the escalating risk of conflict, for all Islamic countries will move together as one body.

How many a small force has triumphed over a much greater one by God's permission! God is with the steadfast. (Qur'an, 2:249)

If you tried to number God’s blessings, you could never count them. God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

God knows what you keep secret and what you make public. Those you call on besides God do not create anything. They are themselves created.

Cry of Nabi [SAW]

Angel Jibrail (AS) explains jahanam to the Prophet (SAW) in the early stages of his Prophethood. Explains the intensity of hell which gets our beloved Prophet (SAW) very emotional. Today we have forgotten how sever the punishment is. Today we are not paying any attention to the sins we are committing and we have made these sins as if they are permissible. Although we are committing these atrocious sins our Merciful Allah still provides us with food to eat, money to use etc. may Allah forgive us and help us all!

The one who mentions or remembers God

The Prophet said:

"The-one-who-mentions-or-remembers-God (dhâkirullâh) among those who forget Him is like a green tree in the midst of dry ones";

"The one who mentions or remembers God among those who forget Him, God shows him his seat in Paradise during his life";

"The one who mentions or remembers God among those those who forget Him is like the fighter behind those who run away";

"The one who mentions or remembers God among those who forget Him, God looks at him with a look after which He will never punish him";

"The one who mentions or remembers God among those who forget Him is like a light inside a dark house";

"The one who mentions or remembers God among those who forget Him, God forgives him (sins) to the amount of every eloquent and non-eloquent speaker," that is, the number of animals and human beings;

"The one who mentions or remembers God in the the marketplace, will have light in every hair of his on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet also said: "Remembrance of God is certain knowledge of one's belief (`ilm al-îmân), immunity from hypocrisy (barâ'at min al- nifâq), a fortress against satan (HuSn min al-shayTân), and a guarded refuge from the fire (Hirz min al-nâr)." It was mentioned by (al-Layth) al- Samarqandi.
