Muslims welcome hijab law in Argentina
The administration of Cristina Fernandez has passed an historic legislation that allows Muslim women to wear hijab in public places without the fear of persecution. They can use photographs wearing headscarves for their national ID cards.
The new law seeks to promote freedom of religion and expression in the Latin American country, and help the Muslim community to integrate into the Argentinean society.
The Muslim community in Argentina has welcomed the news, especially seeing that in other places like France, governments are taking drastic measures to ban the Islamic headscarf in public places and schools.
While Argentina's Muslims - who make up about 2 per cent of the population - live in harmony and peace in the mostly Catholic society, they say sometimes it is hard to practice the religion, because of the way the media represents Islam and Muslims at large.
The government says it will enforce the law to the best of its ability and in collaboration with police forces, the judiciary and the business community.
Although Muslims are a minority here in Argentina, the government is making it a priority to make sure they're free to express their religion without discrimination.

He has been an outspoken critic of the Mubarak government, frequently calling on him to step down and pave the way for free elections.
Inmates escape from prisons
Latest reports indicate that thousands of inmates broke out of the Wadi Naturn correctional facility in northern Cairo. Witnesses have seen the bodies of several prisoners near the prison in Cairo.
Earlier, over 8,000 prisoners fled another prison in the east of the country.
Meanwhile, prison guards have joined the protests allowing dozens of Muslim Brotherhood members to walk out of jail.
Mubarak visits military bases
The Egyptian president has visited an army military operations center. Local media say Mubarak has met with top military commanders and troops at their headquarters.
Mubarak's newly appointed Vice President, Defense Minister and Chief of Staff have also attended the meeting. No further details have been released.
On Friday, Mubarak ordered the army out to the streets in an effort to maintain control.
Thousands of people across the world have taken to the streets to express support for the anti-government demonstrations in Egypt.
Protesters in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Germany, France and the US showed that they are fully behind the Egyptian uprising.
Similar protests were also held in Jordan, Greece and other countries around the world.

Egyptian Embassy, London.
The 2011 Egyptian protests are a continuing series of street demonstrations taking place throughout Egypt from January 2011 onwards, with organizers counting on the Tunisian uprising to inspire the crowds to mobilize. The demonstrations and riots were reported to have started over police brutality, State of emergency laws, unemployment, desire to raise the minimum wage, lack of housing, food inflation, corruption, lack of freedom of speech and poor living conditions. The protests main goal is to oust President Hosni Mubarak who has been in power for more than 30 years. While localized protests were already commonplace in previous years, major protests and riots erupted all over the country starting on 25 January, known as the "Day of Anger", the date set by Egyptian opposition groups and others for a major demonstration. The 2011 protests have been called "unprecedented" for Egypt, and "some of the most serious civil unrest in recent memory" in the country.
Hosni Mubarak presidency:
President Hosni Mubarak has ruled Egypt since 1981. His government, which has been criticized in the media and amongst NGOs, is supported by the United States because of his "persecution of the Islamists generally supportive of Israel." As a result, the initial reactions to Hosni Mubarak's abuses by the U.S. were muted, and most instances of socio-political protest in the country, when they occurred at all, rarely made major news headlines.
Corruption:
While in office, political corruption in the Mubarak administration's Ministry of Interior has risen dramatically, due to the increased power over the institutional system that is necessary to secure the prolonged presidency. Such corruption has led to the frequent imprisonment of political figures and young activists without trials, illegal undocumented hidden detention facilities, and rejecting universities, mosques, newspapers staff members based on political inclination. On a personnel level, each individual officer can and will violate citizens' privacy in his area, using unconditioned arrests, common torture and abuse of power, depending on simply brute force, rather than law, to enforce order in the officer's designated area.[citation needed] This has resulted in the common belief that "A policeman is more dangerous than a criminal".
The rise to power of powerful business men in the NDP in the federal government and People's Assembly led to massive waves of anger during the years of Ahmed Nazif's government. As a result, frequent laws and bills are passed, with undergiant monopolists (such as Ahmed Ezz's) influence serving personal and corporational financial interests rather than public's. Transparency International (TI) is an international organization addressing corruption, including, but not limited to, political corruption. In 2010, TI's Corruption Perceptions Index report assessed Egypt with a CPI score of 3.1, based on perceptions of the degree of corruption from business people and country analysts, with 10 being highly clean and 0 being highly corrupt. Egypt ranked 98th out of the 178 countries included in the report.
Police Brutality:
Khaled Mohamed Saeed died under disputed circumstances in the Sedi Gabr area of Alexandria on June 6, 2010. Multiple witnesses have testified that Saeed was beaten to death by the police,
On 25 June Mohamed ElBaradei, former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, led a rally in Alexandria against alleged abuses by the police and visited Saeed's family to offer condolences.
Economic Policy:
About 40 percent of Egypt's 80-million population lives on or around two dollars per day, and a large part of the population relies on subsidized goods.
Protests:
In Egypt, at least six cases of self-immolation have been reported, including a man arrested while trying to set himself on fire in downtown Cairo. Abdou Abdel-Moneim Jaafar, a 49-year-old restaurant owner, set himself alight in front of the Egyptian Parliament.
Scale of protests:
Thousands were protesting in the capital of Cairo on the 25th of January, with 15,000 alone occupying Tahrir square; 20,000 in various locations across Alexandria, 200 demonstrators were in the southern city of Aswan, 2000 in the eastern city of Ismailiya; and about 3000 in the northern city of Mahallah.
Allah is rich and you are the poor...
Assalamu Alaikum,
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "Riches does not mean, having a great amount of property, but riches is self-contentment." Bukhari
Narrated Hakim bin Hizam:
I asked the Prophet (for some money) and he gave me, and then again I asked him and he gave me, and then again I asked him and he gave me and he then said, "This wealth is (like) green and sweet (fruit), and whoever takes it without greed, Allah will bless it for him, but whoever takes it with greed, Allah will not bless it for him, and he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper (giving) hand is better than the lower (taking) hand."
Bukhari
Narrated 'Umar:
Allah's Apostle used to give me something but I would say to him, "would you give it to a poorer and more needy one than l?" The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said to me, "Take it. If you are given something from this property, without asking for it or having greed for it take it; and if not given, do not run for it."
Sahih Bukhari
This is a fact that none can escape, yet you go after the treasures of the world and renounce the Lord of Truth.
"Know that the life of this world is but a play and a passing delight and a beautiful show, and the (cause of) your boastful) vying with one another, and (of your) greed for more and more wealth and children." [57:20]
Look at this world with the eyes of your heart, you will find it ugly and loathsome; look at it with your physical eyes and it will lure you to the side and slaughter you.
Be content with whatever Allah has decreed for you. Fear Allah in your innermost being. Implement His commands. Once your heart complies with the Divine Decree, the Lord of Truth will grant you from sources you never imagined:
"And whosoever is conscious of Allah, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed Allah has sent a measure for all things." [65:2-3]
Beg of His mercy; turn to Him with a heart full of sincere repentance.
"O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance." [66:8]
Stand before your Lord with humility, implore the Dispenser of Grace by His Most Beautiful Names and attributes of perfection. If He fulfills your wish, increase in your gratitude and servitude to Him. If He denies your request, then succumb to the Divine Decree of the All-Wise with a submissive heart. Do not argue or object to His will. Always remember:
"…Allah knows and you know not." [24:19]
Allah disposes of everything as He wills, and commands as He wills:
"He is not to be questioned about what He does, though they are subject to His questioning." [21"23]
If wealth and happiness are destined for you, they will come to you at their appointed time according to the Divine Decree of Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Do not be greedy but be moderate because you will receive all that was written for you. If you do so, you will earn the displeasure of the All Mighty, and lose all spiritual comfort in this life. Maalik ibn Deenaar once said:
"If you want to acquire true knowledge of Allah, the All Mighty, then consent to His management and planning. Make not your mind and desire, passion or will associates to Him."
O you of sound health but weak heart! Wake up and run to your Creator with repentance on your tongue, tears in your eyes, and sincerity in your heart. Cry before Him, before others cry for you. Make haste, O heedless one!
"Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allah's Reminder…?" [57:16]
Remove the veils of darkness that have corroded your heart. Adorn it with His fear and love.
Do you not fear the moment when you will stand before your Lord? There will be no screen between Him and you, nor an interpreter to translate for you. And your Creator will question you. You will find nothing to your left nor to your right but the blazing Fire of Hell. Do what the Prophet of Allah advised you, if you truly fear Allah:
"…So let each of you protect himself against Hell-Fire, be it even with half a date - and if he finds not, then with a kind word."
You are the servant, He is the Master. Prayers come from you, answers come from Him. Abstinence comes from you, protection comes from Him. Repentance comes from you, acceptance comes from Him. Go towards him walking, He will come to you running.
Make your deeds pure for His sake alone, and He will extend His mercy to you. Upload His religion, and He will extend His bounty to you. Follow the Sunnah of His beloved, and He will extend His love to you.
Look forward to your meeting with Allah. It will be very soon. Sooner than you can imagine! Make preparations for this meeting. Get rid of the love of this world from your heart; free it from everything other than the Lord of Truth. Do not buy the world and pay with the hereafter as a price. Do not sell the hereafter to acquire this world.
"…Shall We tell you who are the greatest losers in whatever they may do? Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought they were acquiring good by their deeds…" [18:103-104]
The Most Wise did not create you to gratify your base desires and passions, nor did He create you for fun, amusement, eating, drinking, sleeping, or having sex!
"I have created the jinns and the humans solely to worship Me." [51:56]
But you are so heedless as if you have drunk the elixir of immortality. You think that the Angel of Death will never squeeze your soul out of your body? You have forgotten that you will pass through the Siraat with the intense Fire of Hell underneath you. You are unaware of the thrashing that awaits you in your grave by the angels of Allah. Hot stones of Jahannam for you to walk on, herbage bitter than aloes, foul putrid meat to eat, your lips to be cut by coarse scissors, getting trampled under the feet of the people of Pharaoh, screaming with your mouths wide open while the hot coals that you devoured come out of your anuses, cutting your own flesh from the sides to eat it, scratching your chests and faces with brass nails - all this awaits you if you do not pay the zakah, if you fornicate, devour usury, slander others, backbite, or malign people's honor.
This is just the grave, Hell is yet to come!
"…the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew." [68:33]

Protestors lose their fear of the Egyptian regime and perform the best jihad - the word of justice in front of the oppressive ruler
Posted by AK | 28 January 2011 |
The Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:
"The best Jihad is the word of Justice in front of the oppressive ruler." (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, ibn Maja)
Hundreds of thousands of people are on the streets of Egypt tonight calling for the removal of the tyrant Hosni Mubarak. Inspired by the protests in Tunisia which forced another tyrant Ben Ali from power the Muslims of Egypt are losing their fear of the regime and its security forces. They bravely face the tanks, guns and water cannons demanding an end to the decades of tyranny under Mubarak, the close friend of Obama.
As with Tunisia, western hypocrisy has been exposed for all to see. The US Vice-President Joe Biden was asked if he would characterize Mubarak as a dictator. Biden responded: "Mubarak has been an ally of ours in a number of things. And he's been very responsible on, relative to geopolitical interest in the region, the Middle East peace efforts; the actions Egypt has taken relative to normalizing relationship with - with Israel. ... I would not refer to him as a dictator."
The west has no problems with dictators and their brutal policies if they continue to serve western interests. As US President Franklin D. Roosevelt famously remarked on Nicaragua's dictator, "Somoza may be a son of a bitch, but he's our son of a bitch."
Egypt was opened up to Islam during the Khilafah of Umar bin al-Khattab. The Christians living in Egypt at the time witnessed the justice of the Islamic system compared to the man-made system of the Byzantines.
Nabil Luqa Bebawy, a Coptic, religious author compares the conditions of Copts before and after Islamic rule. He said that Orthodox Christians were brutally tortured at the hands of Byzantines. The number of Copts who were killed during the rule of the Byzantine emperor Diocletianus [284-305 AD] is estimated up to one million Coptic Egyptians. The is why the Orthodox Coptic Church called that age the age of martyrs and the Coptic calendar starts at this age.
When Islam came to Egypt, all conditions changed dramatically and Copts witnessed an age of freedom that they had not known before. About the Jizya imposed on non-Muslims, Dr. Bebawy says that they were part of the "security pact" made between Muslims and Copts. Jizya was a tax paid in exchange for exempting Copts from joining the Islamic army.
Finally, Dr. Nabil Luqa Bebawy stresses that the ill practices of some Muslims rulers in dealing with Copts are individual behaviors that have nothing to do with Islamic teachings.
Today, both Muslims and Christians in Egypt are facing oppression at the hands of a tyrannical regime implementing a man-made secular system, ruled over by a modern Pharaoh who cares only for accumulating the wealth and luxury of the world.
The way forward is to establish the Khilafah in Egypt as a starting point for change throughout the Middle East, North Africa and the rest of the Muslim world. Egypt would then become the seat of the Khilafah once again as it was from 1261 to 1517, after the ransacking of Baghdad and the murder of the Khaleefah by the Mongols.
We need Muslims in the government and armed forces like Ubadah ibn as-Samit, one of the commanders who opened Egypt to Islam.
Ubadah was sent as the head of a delegation to the Byzantine ruler of Egypt where he said:
"The reason for our campaign against our enemies who wage war against Allah is not hope of worldly gains or the accumulation of wealth; rather Allah has permitted that to us and made the booty we acquire permissible for us. But none of us cares whether he has a qintar of gold or has nothing but a dirham, because all we want from this world is something to eat and ward off hunger, and a cloth to wrap around ourselves. If one of us owns nothing more than that, that is enough. If he gets a qintar of gold he will spend it for the sake of Allah and be content with the little that is left in his hand, because the pleasure of this world is not true pleasure and its luxury is not true luxury; rather real pleasure and luxury come in the Hereafter." [Dr Ali Muhammad as-Sallabi, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab his life and times,' Vol. 2, p. 327]

Important/Egyptian Siege INFO ~ Window Into Palestine
To all the people of world
The people in Egypt are under governmental siege. Mubarak regime is banning Face book, Twitter, and all other popular internet sites. Tomorrow the government will block the 3 mobile phone network and the internet ......completely. And there is news that even the phone landlines will be cut tomorrow, to prevent any news agency from following what will happen.
Suez city is already under siege now. The government cut the water supply and electricity, people, including, children and elderly are suffering there now. The patients in hospitals cannot get urgent medical care. The injured protesters are lying in the streets and the riot police are preventing people from helping them. The families of the killed protesters cannot get the bodies of their sons to bury them. This picture is the same in north Saini (El-Sheikh zoyad city) and in western Egypt (Al-salom). The riot police is cracking down on protesters in Ismailia, Alexandria, Fayoum, Shbin Elkoum, and Cairo, the capital, in many neighborhoods across the city.
The government is preparing to crackdown on the protesters in all Egyptian cities. They are using tear gas bombs, rubber and plastic pullets, chemicals like dilutes mustard gas against protesters. Several protesters today have been killed when the armored vehicles of the riot police hit them. Officials in plain clothes carrying blades and knives used to intimidate protesters.
All this has been taken place over the past three days during the peaceful demonstrations in Cairo and other cities. Now, with the suspicious silence of the local media and the lack of coverage from the international media, Mubarak and his gang are blocking all the channels that can tell the world about what is happening.
People who call for their freedom need your support and help. Will you give them a hand?
The activists are flooding the net (you tube and other sites) with thousands of pictures and videos showing the riot police firing on armless people. The police started to use ammunition against protesters. 15-year old girl has been injured and another 25 year old man has been shot in the mouth. While nothing of these has appeared in the media, there is more to happen tomorrow. Will you keep silent? Will you keep your mouth shut while seeing all these cruelty and inhumane actions?
We don’t ask for much, just broadcast what is happening

The Khilafah's Achievements-The Super Islamic State Ruled By The Pious Khillafah Under Law Of Islam
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 06:39 Adnan Khan
The 3rd March 2010 marks 86 years since the formal abolition of the Khilafah. The Muslim world ever since has been divided into a number of different nations, with their own flag, national identity, ruler and their own borders. Whilst the end of the Khilafah has much to do with the weakness that overcame the Ummah in understanding Islam, the Western colonialist nations played a big role in the destruction of the Khilafah.
the Messenger of Allah sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam said:
"Prophethood (meaning Muhammad (SAW) himself) will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain, then Allah will raise it up whenever he wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood remaining with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, He will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a reign of violently oppressive [The reign of Muslim kings who are partially unjust] rule and it will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, there will be a reign of tyrannical rule and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, Allah will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Then, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood."-Musnad Ahmed
May Allah forgive us for all our sins and make us from those who turn to Him.May He grant victory and honour to Islam & Muslims.May He humiliate the enemies of this deen
It was Britain, Russia and France who worked to conquer the Islamic territories and today continue with their efforts to ensure the revival of the Ummah is crippled whenever any sign of resurgence surfaces. The aim of the colonialist nations through this is to ensure that any trend for reunification would have to be monumental if it is to succeed. David Fromkin, Professor and expert on Economic History at the University of Chicago confirmed this:
"Massive amounts of the wealth of the old Ottoman Empire were now claimed by the victors. But one must remember that the Islamic empire had tried for centuries to conquer Christian Europe and the power brokers deciding the fate of those defeated people were naturally determined that these countries should never be able to organize and threaten Western interests again. With centuries of mercantilist experience, Britain and France created small, unstable states whose rulers needed their support to stay in power. The development and trade of these states were controlled and they were meant never again to be a threat to the West. These external powers then made contracts with their puppets to buy Arab resources cheaply, making the feudal elite enormously wealthy while leaving most citizens in poverty."
The Islamic State was one state..The Khilafah State which insha'Allah is returning!!!
It should be remembered that the West originally launched their onslaught against the Ummah through a number of crusades beginning in 1095. The West understood then as it does now the power of Islam when it is embraced by people. Islam's track record is unparalleled under the Khilafah, whilst there are many developments that can be listed, what follows are 5 such developments.
The Caliphate Are Comming. The Super Islamic State Ruled By The Pious Khillafah Under Law Of Islam
Defeating the Byzantines
Mu'awiyah bin Sufyaan was the first of the Ummayad rulers and enacted a policy of continuous expansion, which brought Northwest Africa (Egypt, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia), Spain, western India and portions of Central Asia under Islamic authority. Mu'awiyah is famous for enacting the policy for the development of the military of the Islamic state. This included a powerful navy and the creation of military bases. Mu'awiya had realised that the decisive battle against the than superpower the Byzantines would be at sea. Mu'awiyah's policies resulted in the creation of dockyards in Acre in Syria and also in Eastern Egypt which was in Muslim control by 641. By 649 the construction of 1000 fleet was complete. This policy also resulted in ship building factories being constructed at important ports such as Abla and Sirafin in the Persian Gulf, Tunis on the North African Coast, Sus in Morocco then after further victories facilities developed in Palermo and Messina in Sicily and Bari in Italy. Within a hundred years these ports also served as commercial centres for Trade which facilitated the Islamic states riches
Prior to Mu'awiyah all the Khilafah's victories were with states landlocked with the Muslims, the Arabian peninsula, Western India, Persia, Iraq and central Asia, none of them ever warranted sea battles. The Ummah used camels and horses for strategic mobility across the dessert. The strategy being to move along the dessert coast and then retreat if the enemy was too strong. This severely hindered the Byzantine forces, who were a sea power, it however restricted Islamic expansion. Mu'awiyah however realised that the Byzantines would need to be defeated at sea to cause them any major blow.
Mu'awiyah also realised the need for military bases and this was incorporated into his expansion policy. The first attempt at Egypt failed due to the then supply line being overstretched - the Fustat military base was 1500 miles away. Other bases such as Kufa and Basra were even further. In 670 the first full military base composed of garrisons, horses, camels, artillery, blades, swords and gunpowder was made in Qairawan (modern Tunisia) like all the other bases it developed into a famous city. Once Egypt was conquered a base was also set up there by the conquered Berbers themselves which matched the base set up Qairawan. This resulted in metalworking reaching a high standard, and the use and development of glassware and ceramics.
As a result of Mu'awiya's Economic and military policies and with a supply line supported by two huge military bases and a powerful navy the Berber turned Muslim Tariq ibn Ziyad in 711, from around Tangier (modern day Morocco), with an army of around seven thousand three hundred men crossed the Strait of Gibraltar and began the conquest of Spain and thereafter Europe.
Baghdad
When the Abbasids took over the Khilafah, they began a project of creating a capital city that would be revered around the world. The Abbasid caliph, Al Mansur assembled engineers, surveyors and art constructionists from around the world to come together and draw up plans for the city. Over 100,000 construction workers came to survey the plans and were distributed salaries to start the building of the grand city.
Baghdad was the first circular city in the world. Within fifty years the population outgrew the city walls as people thronged to the capital to become part of the Abbasids' Civil service and engage in trade. Baghdad became a vast emporium of trade linking Asia and the Mediterranean. By the reign of Mansur's grandson, Harun ar Rashid (786-806), Baghdad was second in size only to Constantinople. European towns, cities and settlements built walls to prevent raids from outlaws and armies but were typically vulnerable at four points; the corners. If enough pressure was applied at any of these points the wall would collapse and troops could flood through the breach. The Muslims solved this problem by building circular cities.
After the defences of the city were complete attention turned to how the Abbasids would feed the rest of the Ummah. The development of Agriculture under the Abbasids was a phenomenon; the scarcity of water had converted the barren Arab lands into a vast desert, which had never yielded any substantial agricultural produce. The scattered population always imported supply of food grains to supplement the dates and the little corn grown in their own lands. Agriculture in Arabia, had been very primitive and was confined to those tracts where water was available in the form of springs. Medina, with its springs and wells was the only green spot in the vast desert. The Abbasids dealt with this by first controlling the flows of the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers. The Irrigation system in the land was greatly improved by digging a number of new canals, the largest flowed between the Tigris and Euphrates. This canal was called Nahr Isa (Isa canal) and was open to ships for transportation between Syria & Iraq. This led to navigation routes opening to India and Persian Gulf. The Abbasids reconstructed the existing canals, lakes, and reservoirs, which were first built under Hajjaj Bin Yusuf in 702. After this the swamps around Baghdad were drained, freeing the city of malaria.
House of Wisdom - Bayt al-Hikma
The Abbasids in the 8th initiated probably the greatest translation project translating the work of the Ancient Greeks into Arabic to preserve them from being lost forever. The careful and painstaking archive work took time, effort and co-ordination. An institute named Al-Bait ul-Hikmah was set up and run by the Abbasid Khilafah in Baghdad for this purpose.
At the behest of the Caliph an observatory was built and numerous educational institutes which made literacy widespread were created. Other rulers such as Al-Mansur ordered plentiful resources to achieve the task. Translation became a state industry and the Muslim scholars succeeded in what is still regarded today as a truly incredible feat.
Observatories were set up in Baghdad and become an unrivalled center for the study of humanities and for sciences, including mathematics, astronomy, medicine, chemistry, zoology and geography. The scholars, scientists and specialists draw upon the translated works of previous civilizations such as the Persian and Greek works that included those of Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle and Socrates. Such works were accumulated and Baghdad become home to a great collection of world knowledge.
Uthmani Khilafah
The Uthmani's came to eclipse all of the rival amirs and sultans across the Islamic lands and then were able to menace the whole of Europe, to the extent that the Kuffar were convinced that the Uthmani's could not be defeated. A number of polices enacted by the Uthmani's cemented their position in global politics at the time.
The Uthmani's were one of the many bands of Turkmen horsemen who began to come into the Islamic lands as a result of the Mongol invasions in the 13th century. These Turkmen warriors, who had converted to Islam, were sent to the frontiers of the state by the Seljuks, who themselves were of Turkish origin. This was because they had excellent fighting skills and zeal, which the Seljuks wanted them to apply along the frontier with the Byzantines. The House of Uthman proved to be one of the most successful of these bands, taking many towns and villages from the control of the Byzantines, they then unified the other ghazis, or mujahideen, under their banner.
In 1432, Murad II (the 5th Sultan) introduced the devshirme or boy-tribute system which was an elite force of soldiers loyal only to the Sultan. According to this system, a tribute officer would set out across the Balkans and Greece, and from the villages a number of young boys, usually less than a handful from each village, would be taken for training. These were trained physically and put through an education system that would enable them to proceed into the state's administrative system. Those who showed good intellectual aptitude would proceed on this track, while those who were not considered suitable for administrative tasks would be drafted into the janissaries, or other positions serving the Sultan, There were huge benefits to such a system Firstly, the Uthmani's could constantly guarantee that the only basis for people to obtain posts in the Khilafah was the personal qualities that shone through under examination; they were literally the best of the best. Alongside that, the administrative system was only open to people via this system hence they had no ties with families within the Khilafah, hence it could be assured that any official, no matter what post he reached, would not be able to pass on all that he had earned, or try and get his son into power after him. This had the effect of not allowing the power to be cemented in the hands of anyone other than the Sultan. The importance of this system cannot be underestimated, from the time of Muhammad al Fatih in the 1450s, the 34 of the next 36 leaders, were converts to Islam, who had come through this system.
The Uthmani's also developed the janissaries, who were a standing infantry that would only admit into its ranks captured non-Muslims. These troops would be trained and then, after converting to Islam, they would be fully enrolled into the janissary order. The source for these troops was the captured nobles of the people the Othmani's had defeated. For centuries onwards from this time, they were the only standing army in Europe, a professional corps of fighters always prepared and ready for battle. The upkeep for the janissaries was paid for through revenues that the empire was constantly collecting. This meant that the Uthmani's would always have the advantage of being able to immediately deploy their forces, at no extra cost.
In contrast, the feudal states of Europe would have to impose hefty taxes on their peasant populations in order to generate the needed funds. The benefit of the standing army was that it acted to cement the power of the state's legitimate authority. Europeans, their Kings, Dukes or other potentates would have to rely on their nobles to provide troops. If this would not be sufficient, they would have to hire foreign forces, or enter into pacts, treaties and other political agreements that could all in them selves lead to more of a threat than the menace of the Uthmani army itself. The Sultan could count on the fact that the janissaries had no loyalty to any one other than him. So the Khaleefah had no rivals or other centres of power to placate, because his authority in the Khilafah was absolute. This led to continued political stability in the Khilafah and gave the Khaleefah the ability to engage in long term plans to expand power. The success of such polices resulted in the conquering of Southern Italy, Hungary, Austria, Romania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania, Malta, Cyprus, Croatia, Ukraine, the Canary Islands, parts of Iceland and the largest island of the Bristol waters in England - Lundy.
Such was the perceived threat of the Uthmani Khilafah under the reign of Suleiman al Qanooni that ambassador Busbecq of the Austrian monarch Ferdinand I warned of Europe's imminent conquest: "On [the Turks'] side are the resources of a mighty empire, strength unimpaired, habituation to victory, endurance of toil, unity, discipline, frugality and watchfulness... Can we doubt what the result will be?...When the Turks have settled with Persia, they will fly at our throats supported by the might of the whole East; how unprepared we are I dare not say." (Lewis, Bernard (2002). What Went Wrong? : Western Impact and Middle Eastern Response)
Uthmani-US Relations
In 1783 the first US navy boat started to sail in international waters and within two years was captured by the Uthmani navy near Algeria. In 1793 12 more US navy boats were captured. In March 1794 the US Congress authorized President Washington to spend up to 700 000 gold coins to build strong steel boats that would resist the Uthmani navy. Just a year later the US signed the Barbary Treaty to resolve the Uthmani threat. Barbary, was the term for the North African wilaya's of Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli, under the rule of the Uthmani's
The terms of the treaty were:
1.
The treaty will cost the US a one off payment of $992,463
2.
The American ships captured would be returned and the American Navy was to be given permission to sail in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
3.
In return, the American government would pay $642 000 in equivalent gold.
4.
The US would also pay an annual tax (tribute) of $12 000 in gold. The annual tribute would be calculated according to the Islamic calendar and not the Christian calendar
5.
$585,000 would be paid for the ransom of the captured American sailors
6.
A state of the art steel ship would be constructed and delivered to the Uthmani's, built in the US with all costs borne by the US in return for privileges. (The costs of masts, Yards, and heavy planks, were very costly and so difficult to procure, and then so exceedingly expensive to transport. Once delivered the US had actually paid thirty times their estimated price in the stipulations).
The treaty was written in Turkish and signed by President Washington, This is the only American legal document to ever have been concluded in a foreign language and the only treaty the Americans have ever signed that agrees to pay annual tax to another nation. This treaty continued until the Khilafah was abolished.
Conclusions
When the Khilafah was present and it applied Islam it was the world's unrivalled power. This fact is not forgotten by the West and it remains a potent force which the world's intelligence agencies spend day and night hypothesizing about. As a result of this various surveys, think tank reports and policy makers have all accepted that Muslims globally have rejected western values. A Gallup survey in 2006 concluded Muslim women tended to regard Western culture as morally corrupt and obsessed with sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. This represents a glaring failure on the part of the West who has faced no challenge to its global supremacy since the fall of Communism.
On the 86th Anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah, the Ummah globally should realise that the West has pulled out all its resources to halt the call for the Khilafah and the winds of change that have galvanized the Ummah. The Ummah needs to realise whilst the Western colonialists led by the US bleed to death due to Iraq and Afghanistan, the Ummah is actually in a position of strength. The attack on both of these nations is due in part to the failure of the Muslims rulers to stop the Islamisation of their countries.
All that remains now is for the Muslim armies to realise the Ummah is ready for change and for them to make this change a reality. The Muslims armies should remember that Sa'ad ibn Muadh رضي الله عنه gave the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم the necessary military and political support (nusra) as one of the chiefs of the key tribes of Madina. His support played a vital role in establishing Islam as a way of life. On his death the throne of Allah سبحانه وتعالى moved, and Allah سبحانه وتعالى truly elevated his status.
When Sa'ad ibn Muadh رضي الله عنه died, Jibreel عليه السلام came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and said: "Who was this good soul who died? The gates of the heavens were opened for him and the throne of Allah moved." (Ahmed).
When his body was carried after the Janazah the Muslims carrying the body said, "We have not carried a dead body lighter than this." The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied to them: "Nothing made his body lighter, but it was such and such number of angels (many angles) who descended and carried him along with you. Those angels had never before descended." (Narrated in Tabaqat ibn Sa'ad).
Bukhari narrates on the authority of Jabir رضي الله عنه who said: "I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم say: ‘the heavens trembled at the death of Sa'ad bin Muadh.'"

Afghan Orphans Due To German/US Air Strikes
THESE ARE THE VICTIMS AND ORPHANS FROM US/GERMAN AIRSTRIKE IN KUNDUZ, AFGHANISTAN. THESE PICTURES HAVE NEVER BEFORE BEEN RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC. Responding to a call by German forces, an American F-15E fighter jet struck two fuel tankers, killing a more than 150 people, 100 of which were civilians, mostly children.
In June 2010 Germany announced it would pay $5,000 to each of the families of over 100 civilian victims, as an ex gratia payment without admitting liability. The former Afghan Commerce Minister Amin Farhang described the $5,000—as a "laughable" sum.

The Sellout of Plaestinian Rights Still Wasn't enough For Israel! ~ Window Into Palestine
The Palestinian people betrayed
January 27, 2011
A massive archive of documents leaked to Al Jazeera and Britain's Guardian newspaper offers irrefutable proof that years of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians have been an empty sham. The papers make clear that the time has come for Palestinians and anyone interested in the cause of justice to abandon the charade of official diplomacy and pursue other, more creative and nonviolent paths toward the realization of a genuine, just peace.
The leaked documents, assuming they are genuine — and both Al Jazeera and the Guardian say they have authenticated them — are behind-the-scenes notes from a decade of negotiations between the Palestinians and Israel. On issue after issue, they show Palestinian negotiators eager to concede ground, offering to give up much of Jerusalem, to accept Israel's illegal settlements in the West Bank, to collaborate with Israeli occupation forces in suppressing dissent in the occupied territories — including killing fellow Palestinians — and even to forgo the right of return for most Palestinians driven from their homes by Israel in 1948.
The papers give the lie to Israel's claim that it yearns for peace but lacks a Palestinian "partner." And they reinforce the sense that Israel has gone along with these negotiations only to buy time to expropriate more Palestinian land, demolish more Palestinian homes, expel more Palestinian families and build more colonies for the exclusive use of Jewish settlers in militarily occupied territory, thereby cementing new realities on the ground that would make a Palestinian state a geophysical impossibility.
Anyone who doubts this has only to skim through the leaked papers, which show Israel spurning one gaping Palestinian concession after another. And this was Israel not under Benjamin Netanyahu but under the supposedly more liberal Ehud Olmert and his foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, who claimed they were committed to the peace process. In shameless abjection, the Palestinian negotiators prostrated themselves and surrendered essentially every major objective for which their people have struggled and sacrificed for 60 years, only for the imperious Israelis to say again and again, no, no, no.
Clearly, all that the Palestinians have to offer is not enough for Israel.
The major revelation from the documents, indeed, is the illustration they furnish of just how far the Palestinian negotiators were willing to go to placate Israel.
Men like Saeb Erekat, Mahmoud Abbas and Ahmed Qurei — the lead Palestinian negotiators in all these years — are of a type that has come forth in every colonial conflict of the modern age. Faced with the overwhelming brute power with which colonial states have always sought to break the will of indigenous peoples, they inhabit the craven weakness that the situation seems to dictate. Convinced that colonialism cannot be defeated, they seek to carve out some petty managerial role within it from which they might benefit, even if at the expense of their people.
These men, we must remember, were not elected to negotiate an agreement with Israel. They have no legitimacy, offer zero credibility and can make no real claim to represent the views of Palestinians.
And yet they were apparently willing to bargain away the right that stands at the very heart of the Palestinian struggle, a right that is not theirs to surrender — the right of return of Palestinians to the homes from which they were forced during the creation of Israel in 1948 — by accepting Israel's insistence that only a token few thousand refugees should be allowed to return, and that the millions of others should simply go away (or, as we now learn that the U.S. suggested, accept being shipped away like so much lost chattel to South America).
The documents also show Palestinian negotiators willing to betray the Palestinians inside Israel by agreeing to Israel's definition of itself as a Jewish state, knowing that that would doom Israel's non-Jewish Palestinian minority — the reviled "Israeli Arabs" who constitute 20% of the state's population — not merely to the institutionalized racism they already face but to the prospect of further ethnic cleansing (the papers reveal that Livni repeatedly raised the idea that land inhabited by portions of Israel's Palestinian population should be "transferred" to a future Palestinian state).
All this was offered in pursuit of a "state" that would exist in bits and pieces, with no true sovereignty, no control over its own borders or water or airspace — albeit a "state" that it would, naturally, be their job to run.
And all this was contemptuously turned down by the allegedly peace-seeking Israeli government, with the connivance of the United States, to whom the Palestinians kept plaintively appealing as an honest broker, even as it became clearer than ever that it is anything but.
What these documents prove is that diplomatic negotiations between abject Palestinians and recalcitrant Israelis enjoying the unlimited and unquestioning support of the U.S. will never yield peace. No agreement these callow men sign would be accepted by the Palestinian people.
Fortunately, most Palestinians are not as broken and hopeless as these so-called leaders. Every single day, millions of ordinary Palestinian men, women and children resist the dictates of Israeli power, if only by refusing to give up and go away — by going to school, by farming their crops, by tending their olive groves.
Refusing the dictates of brute power and realpolitik to which their so-called leaders have surrendered, the Palestinian people have already developed a new strategy that, turning the tables on Israel, transmutes every Israeli strength into a form of weakness. Faced with tanks, they turn to symbolic forms of protest that cannot be destroyed; faced with brutality, they demand justice; faced with apartheid, they demand equality. The Palestinians have learned the lessons of Soweto, and they have unleashed a simultaneously local and global campaign of protests and calls for boycotts and sanctions that offers the only hope of bringing Israelis — like their Afrikaner predecessors — to their senses.

THE WILL OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE IS UNBROKEN,
THE DETERMINATION OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE IS RELENTLESS
We begin with resolve: Palestine will be free and the Palestinian refugees will return.
From Chicago, New York, London, Berlin and Santiago, to Nahr El-Bared, Bourj al-Barajneh, Yarmouk, and Baqa'a, to Rafah, Nazareth, al-'Araqib, Jenin, Jerusalem, and Balata, the Palestinian people watched in disgust as the treachery unfolded of a leadership that claimed to speak in their name. Each day, another blow; each day, a confirmation of what we all knew, what we all suspected. And yet, the blows were still crushing; grinding into us the full scale of shameless collaboration and collusion with settler colonial and imperial powers.
Our history of revolutionary struggle, our boundless energy, our infinite love for our land and our people rejects, fully and unequivocally, this betrayal of our tens of thousands of martyrs, our prisoners, our youth, and the principles on which our liberation stands: the inalienable rights of an indigenous people and our sovereign nation.
Our response will not be depression nor dejection. Our response will be what our people's response has always been, to always fight and never give up. Our response will be renewed commitment, to a full uprooting of all that is rotten; and a re-growth of our democratic institutions and politics.
Let us remind ourselves of the aims of the Palestine Liberation Organization: to unite the Palestinian people and in doing so, liberate Palestine.
We embrace the spirit of national unity of the National Reconciliation Document issued by Palestinian prisoners in 2006, and affirm that if the PLO does not execute the will of all the Palestinian people, in exile and in the homeland, we will make it so it does.
WE DEMAND:
1. The immediate resignation of Mahmud Abbas from the PLO;
2. The immediate resignation of all members of the current Palestine National Council (PNC), the legislative body with the authority to create policy and strategy, and the Executive Committee of the PLO, for either their unwillingness or inability to stop the present leadership from endangering the Palestinian cause;
3. The establishment of a transitional national leadership body composed of representatives of all segments of the Palestinian people in preparation for new PNC elections;
4. The complete boycott of all individuals and groups affiliated with or representing the present regime of collaboration in Ramallah, including its outposts in the United States and the diaspora.
There will be full accountability for the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, both the crimes of the colonizer, and for all those who were killed and tortured in the name of acquiescence to the dictates of the occupier.
Our national unity and the reclamation of our national institutions will be the road to that accountability.
Let us take heed the calls of emancipation, from the rooftops of Tunis and the squares of Cairo, to the streets of San'a and the dungeons of the occupier, and remember that we all have the power to demand, to fight, and to free.
Wherever you are, mobilize, connect, organize, rally, coordinate, and demonstrate.
We end with declaration: We are the Palestinian people. We will shape our own destiny, and we will usher forth our victory.

Web site addresses are actually a code that gets translated into the actual computer-language address that the site is at. A government can try and disconnect the alphanumeric address (twitter.com) from the real computer language-address (128.242.240.52) but you can still enter it by using these:
for twitter "128.242.240.52"
for google "72.14.204.99"
for facebook "69.63.189.34"
Tor:
Another way to get around any sort of censorship is to route your internet through a series of random servers around the world. This makes it nearly impossible for the government to block your access. (i.e. A hypothetical example is this: Say SF airport wants to stop flights from going from SF to Dallas. But they only control the SF airport. Its a lot harder to stop flights from going SF-Denver-Dallas or SF-LA-Dallas since they can't control those airports. Hope that makes sense.)
So they can get access to it tell folks to download Tor http://www.torproject.org/ which allows them to do this. It is awesome. Its a bit slower but totally designed for this kind of thing.
Hope all is well,
Chris

railer: Campaign Of Unity 2011 | Series of events organised by Hizb ut Tahrir Australia
The notion of unity is fundamental to Islam, and its absence is what has precipitated the chaos and destruction so devastatingly evident today. The depths of the Muslim condition today is contrasted only by the heights of our glorious past. So what can we do to realise the practical unity of the Muslims once again?
Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia extends this warm invitation to its 'Campaign of Unity' - a campaign that aims to define in precise terms the notion of unity in Islam, identify and address historical and current obstacles to our unity, and outline a practical blue print for our renewed unity under Islam.
This campaign, and its resultant conversation, could not come at a more critical time.

Saeb Erekat & Mahmoud Abbas Respond to Palestine Papers
Palestine Papers (LIVE UPDATES) http://leaksource.wordpress.com/2011/...
Palestinian officials today lashed out at the publication of leaked documents revealing a secret agreement to accept Israel's annexation of all but one of the settlements built illegally in East Jerusalem - one of the most sensitive issues to be resolved in the conflict with Israel.
The unprecedented proposal, revealed by al-Jazeera TV and the Guardian, was one of several concessions that have caused shockwaves among Palestinians and across the Arab world. It appears in a cache of thousands of pages of confidential Palestinian records covering more than a decade of negotiations and which provide an extraordinary and vivid insight into the disintegration of the 20-year peace process.
Yasser Abed-Rabbo, a senior PLO leader, attacked al-Jazeera and its Qatari owners over what he called "a distortion of the truth" designed to create confusion. Speaking in Ramallah, headquarters of the Palestinian Authority, he called the leak "a propaganda game through the media in order to brainwash Palestinian citizens".
Saeb Erekat, the PLO's chief negotiator, who features in many of the documents, said: "We don't have anything to hide. [The papers have been] taken out of context and contain lies ... Al-Jazeera's information is full of distortions and fraud."
Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, insisted: "We say things very clearly. We do not have secrets."
Hamas, the Islamist movement which opposes negotiations with Israel and advocates armed resistance, accused the PLO of betraying Palestinian interests. "This leadership is not honest," Osama Hamdan told al-Jazeera. "They have no credibility to negotiate. It is clear from these documents that they have no authorisation from their own people."

Saudis "turning Mecca into Las Vegas"
World heritage experts meeting at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London have called on Saudi authorities to halt the destruction of sites linked with Islamic history. Saudi authorities argue that they are trying to prevent idolatry from taking place. However, it's feared that a number of historic sites will be lost permanently if the current course of destruction is allowed to continue.

Jerusalem
from video script:I as a Palestinian and millions of other fellow Palestinians are denied the right to enter Jerusalem. I managed to enter Jerusalem many times like thousands of Palestinians do without seeking permission from the occupying army. Years ago, I taught highschool in Jerusalem and I know the city very well. This youtube from a recent visit gives you a glimpse. I was both saddened and yet strangely energized by the visit. The relentless effort to transform the city to make it "Jewish" (whatever that means) involved relentless efforts at ethnic cleansing. Just in the past two years, over 10,000 Palestinians from East Jerusalem had their residency rights revoked. This is done under 101 pretexts ranging from marrying someone from outside the city to getting a job in another city or renting or buying a peace of real estate outside the city. The latest bizarre situation is ruling that four elected members of the Palestinian Legistlative Council must renounce their electior or face deportation. One was already depotrted (for not showing allegiance to the Jewish state that illegally occupied annexed, and colonized his city). Three others have spent 205 days now in a tent in the yard of the Red Cross Building in Silwan. Yes, as I saw the amazing popular resistance carried out by all natives of Jerusalem against the colonial occupiers, I was uplifted in my spirits. It is just sad that many world governments continue to be silent on this.
