Asalamualeykum warahmatulahi wabarakatu bismilah walhamdulilah wasalatu wasalamu ala Rasulilah wa ala ahlihi waashabihi wabarik wasalima tasliman kathira

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: A man heard another man reciting (in the prayers): 'Say (O Muhammad): "He is Allah, the One." (112.1) And he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went to the Prophet and informed him about that as if he considered that the recitation of that Sura by itself was not enough. Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran."

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet sent (an army unit) under the command of a man who used to lead his companions in the prayers and would finish his recitation with (the Sura 112): 'Say (O Muhammad): "He is Allah, the One." ' (112.1) When they returned (from the battle), they mentioned that to the Prophet. He said (to them), "Ask him why he does so." They asked him and he said, "I do so because it mentions the qualities of the Beneficent and I love to recite it (in my prayer)." The Prophet; said (to them), "Tell him that Allah loves him"

The first dawn to arise is the False Dawn

Appoint a spot for your feet before taking a step,For whoever slips due to ignorance will surely take a fall- In other words, do not approach a matter until you have thought of its consequences and end-results. If it's in your best interests, go for it, otherwise abstain from it.

Shamr said (regarding Hudhayfah's statement): 'When a tribulation first appears, it is confusing to the people and it makes them feel like they are in the right, until they enter into it and carry out deeds which are not permissible. Then, when it (the tribulation) comes to an end and leaves, its true reality becomes clear and all those who entered into it realise that they were wrong.'Lisan al-'Arab

So do not be fooled by the first thing that you see,Indeed the first dawn to arise is the False Dawn,Issues will put you in doubt when they first appear .But you shall know their reality when they pass by & disappear.

Al-Haytham ibn 'Ubayd al-Saydalani said: 'Ibn Sirin heard a man curse al-Hajjaj so he said to him, 'Stop this! Indeed, were you to be shown the scenes of the Hereafter,the smallest of sin which you yourself committed will seem bigger to you than the biggest sin committed by al-Hajjaj. You should know that Allah `azza wa jall is Wise and Just, if he takes from al-Hajjaj because of the oppression he did, He will also take from others due to their oppression of al-Hajjaj. So do not busy your soul in cursing others.'Shu'b al-Iman by al-Bayhaqi

Al-Hasan narrates from al-Ahnaf ibn Qays that he said, 'I went out in search of this man when Abu Bakrah met me. He said, 'O' Ahnaf where are you going?' I said, 'I want Nasr, the cousin of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) – i.e.
'Ali radhiallahu `anhu. He said to me, 'O Ahnaf, go back! Indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) say 'If two Muslims meet with their swords, the killer and the one killed are both in the Hellfire.' It was said, 'O Messenger of Allah, this is the case for the killer but why also the one killed?' He said, 'He intended to kill his companion.'Sahih al-Bukhari

It is reported that a man said to Hudhayfah, 'If the Muslims fight each other, what do you command me to do?' He said, 'Look for the farthest place in your home and take refuge there. If you are approached (to be killed), say 'Here, take upon yourself my sins and your sins!'Reported by al-Dani in 'Al-Sunan al-Waridah fil Fitan'

The goal of your talk should be good and beneficial

Talk can be dangerous. So, we should control it within the limits of Islam, guided by Allah (S.W.T.) and his Messenger Mohammed (S.A.W.).

The goal of your talk should be good and beneficial. If you cannot intend to have a good talk, then you should remain silent and that is good by itself. This is because the Prophet (S.A.W.) says reported by Imam Bukhari and Muslim,

"Whosoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say good or remain silent."

Refrain from swearing unless it is necessary. Allah (S.W.T.) says in Surat Al-Baqarah, (Verse 224), what can be translated as,

"And do not make Allah’s (Name) an excuse in you oaths."

Talk only within your knowledge and expertise, and do not talk about what you do not know. Allah (S.W.T.) says in Surat Al-Isra’a, (Verse 36), what can be translated as,

"And do not follow (say) that of which you have no knowledge."

Do not talk to people about everything you hear without investigation and confirmation, because you may hear from others the truthfulness and falsehood and what is true and what is doubtful. If you talk about everything you hear, you will be sharing the sins. The prophet (S.A.W.) warns us in an authentic hadith,

"It is enough sin a person commits when he talks about everything he hears."

Make sure that the goal from your talk and conversation with others is to reach the truth, and reveal the falsehood. And do not be concerned whether the truth is reached and falsehood is revealed by you or by others.

Those who talk uselessly-and those who put down others-shows off when they talk

Make your talk clear, simple, devoid of words that are difficult to understand, devoid of eloquency when it is not necessary, and devoid of anything that puts down others because the prophet (S.A.W.) hates this kind of talk. The prophet (S.A.W.) says in a fair hadith reported by Imam At-tirmithi,

"The people whom I hate the most and who are the farthest from me on the Day of Judgment are those who talk uselessly, and those who put down others, and those who shows off when they talk."

Make your talk calm, clear, audible and understood by others. The prophet (S.A.W.) used to repeat the word three times to make sure that it is understood and his talk was simple that everyone can understand. Be serious in your talk and do not joke much, and if you joke, be truthful like the prophet (S.A.W.) used to do.

Do not interrupt another person when he talks and listen to what he has to say till he finishes his point, then follow up on what he said with what is good and beneficial if the follow-up is necessary or useful, not just because you want to talk aimlessly.

Talk -Devoid of harming, hurting, putting down, and making fun of others.

Talk and debate in a nice way which is devoid of harming, hurting, putting down, and making fun of others. This good way of talk was commanded by all messengers. Allah (S.W.T.) said to Mousa and his brother Haroun, when he sent them to Pharaoh in Surat Taha, (Verse 44),

"And speak to him (Pharaoh) mildly, perhaps he may accept admoition or fear Allah."

So, you are not better than Mousa and Haroun nor that person you are talking to is worse than Pharaoh.

Do not reject everything others have said if you have noticed a mixture of right and wrong or a mixture of truth and falsehood, because right should not be rejected even if it is said along with some other things that are independently wrong. Truth should not be rejected if it is said along with some other things that are independently false. You should accept the right and the truth and reject only the wrong and falsehood, and this is the justice and fairness that Allah (S.W.T.) commanded us to do.

Refrain from being involved in useless arguments

Refrain from being involved in useless arguments which sole purpose is to put down and prevail over others. Because being aimlessly argumentative is from the signs of misguidance (We seek refuge with Allah from it).

For this reason, the prophet (S.A.W.) warned us in an authentic hadith reported by Imam At-trimithi,

"A people did not get misguided after Allah had guided them, but they were aimlessly argumentative."

Abandon useless arguments even if the truth is on your side to prevent useless argument-full conversation.

The prophet (S.A.W.) says in another authentic hadith reported by Imam Abu-Dawud,

"I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for the one who stopped being aimlessly argumentative even if he is right."

Among the major sins is disobedience to parents

Narrated by Abu Bakra (ra) Allah's messenger (saw) said: "Shall I inform you of the greatest sins and in another variation he repeated this three times. We the companions said, "Certainly, O messenger of Allah! He (saw) said: "Associating anyone with Allah, disobedience to parents". The prophet sat up straight after he had reclined and added, "And I warn you against false utterance and false witness, "And I warn you against false utterance and false witness". The messenger of Allah (saw) kept saying that warning until we thought that he would not stop".Bukhari&Muslim

MERCY OF ALLAH IN BRIEF

Bismillahirah maniraheem.

In the name of Allah the most beneficient the most merciful.

Words cannot describe The Mercy of Allah.

Allah (s.w.a) multiplys the good deeds by 10 to 700 and leaves the bad deed as a single.

For every letter of the Quran u read u get 10 (hasanat) good deeds, e.g Alif-Lam meem is 30 (hasanat) good deeds.

Praying salah 5times a day everytime u make wudu as long as you do not commit major sins it will wipe away ur minor sins.

Tahajjud the night prayer in which Allah (s.w.a) descends to the lowest heaven and asks which of my slaves is going to ask for my forgiveness so i may forgive them.

Giving charity extinguishes sins

Laylatul qadr the night of forgiveness

The pilgrimage to Hajj.

Adam (a.s) commited a sin and he seeked the forgiveness of Allah (s.w.a) so Allah (s.w.a) told him the supplication then Allah (s.w.a) gave him the tawfiq to say it then Allah (s.w.a) accepted it from him. Same applies with us.

I could go on and on, this is just a brief insight into the mercy of Allah (s.w.a) on his slaves.

ALLAHU AKBAR AND WE STILL MANAGE TO FALL SHORT.

MAY ALLAH (S.W.A) ACCEPT THIS FROM ME. AMEEN.

Better Then You Ask

Fatima's life with Ali was rigorous
Ali worked hard as a carrier of water
and she accept a job as a grinder of corn.

There are times when the work made them suffer
Fatima’s hands often injured of hard work
in such a time her husband will be at her side to comfort

Once they have to go to the Prophet
asking permission to have one of the captive of war
for their temporary helper.
But Rasul rejected. "I will not give you…"
The captives were the right of the ummah
and Rasul never indecisive on such a matter

But as a Father, he was so touched
That same day - in the night chill so much
He headed to their home, entered, and said to them:
"stay where you are".
He then give them what they never expected
"I will tell you something
better than that which you asked" he said.
"These are words which Jibril taught me…
you should recited after every Prayer
and when you go to bed"

Those were words of prayer to safeguard their life.
A prayer so precious.

The prayer:
After every Prayer:
Subhaan Allah - Glory be to God ten times,
Alhamdulillah - Praise be to God, ten times,
Allahu Akbar - God is Great, ten times.
And that when you go to bed you should say them
thirty-three times each.

Rasullullah (SAW) has advised, "A person is on the way of his life friend. Therefore, he should think very carefully whom he is making a friend with." - (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)

We need friends who are sincere, genuine and true and also true in their friendship. Those who care for our well-being from every aspect are true friends. Whereas on the other hand, worldly friends are not only a waste of time, but also on the day of Qiyamah, they will be a means of destruction.

The Quran says: - "All friends on the day of Qiyamah will be enemies of one another except the God fearing." - (Mutaqeen) (43:67)

Muharram (the first month of the Islamic calender)

The 1st of Muharram is Blessed and New Year's Day, and with it marks the beginning of the Islamic (Hijri) Calendar. Its real significance lies in the major turning point in the course of Islam.

Noble Qur'ân: "Verily the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred. That is the right religion, so wrong notyourselves therein …". [At-Taubah: 36]

The tenth of Muharram is a very virtuous day. It is the Day of Aashooraa. On this Day Rasulullah (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) kept a fast and encouraged the Ummah to do so as well.

Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The best fast after Ramadan is the month of Allah, al-Muharram. The best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer." [Muslim]

Also, fasting the 9th of Muharram is highly recommended by the Sunnah.

Imam At-Tirmidhi reported that Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: We should fast on two days: the 9th and 10th ofMuharram to distinguish ourselves from the Jewish community.(At-Tirmidhi)

It is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to fast on the 9th and 10th of Muharram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him used to fast on the day of `Ashura'. When he came to Madinah, he found out that the Jews... of Madinah were also fasting on this day remembering Prophet Musa (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) admired this tradition and said to the Jews, "I am closer to Musa than you are." He fasted and he also told his Companions to fast on this day.

Later, before the end of his life, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told Muslims to add the 9th day also. Thus, it is recommended to fast on both the 9th and 10th of Muharram.

The dîn is nasiha

The Messenger of Allah said, "Religion (dîn) is sincerity (nasiha) (corrective advice, good counsel and sincere conduct). The dîn is nasiha. The dîn is nasiha." They asked, "To whom, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "To Allah and His Book and His Messenger and the Imams (leaders) of the muslims and the common people."

Until then, Allah says: 'Verily, Allah will never change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.' [Ar-Ra'd, 13:11]

Also:
We must lead humanity by upholding the principles of truth, justice and compassion. We are the followers of Rahmatu-lil-alamin (the Mercy to the Worlds), we must be kind and good to each other and we must show care and concern for the whole humanity.*(means ALL includes our bro's and sister's in irag, afghan,palestines and around the globe..insyaAllah

Allah Almighty has said:The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has said:
The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so. And he reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not remake me as He made me at first (1) - and the initial creation [of him] is no easier for Me than remaking him. As for his reviling Me, it is his saying: Allah has taken to Himself a son, while I am the One, the Everlasting Refuge. I begot not nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.

(1) i.e., bring me back to life after death.

It was related by al-Bukhari (also by an-Nasa'i).

And pursue the course of that here
we always stay calm for all troubles
develop the desire for the way to pleasure
And always preserve all the troubles
Remove the default code of laziness

We encourage building and working
by the love of the small ones and making (them good) adults
Develop a call to prosperity
We call on all young people
Letter of meditation, yes the letter.

“Supplication For The Mujahideen: Don’t forget them on this Eid”

O Allaah Revealer of the Book,Recompenser of the Final account,Destroyer of the confederates,O Most Powerful, O Most Magnificent!O Allaah, verily we ask you to disperse their (the enemy’s) gunfire (upon our warriors) and to shake the ground from beneath their feet and strike terror into their hearts.O Allaah, cripple their support and blind their vision and send upon them decay and disease.O Allaah, divide them against one another and disperse their unity and strike heavy discord amongst their ranks, and make them flee to their destruction, and show us from amongst your wonders and strength that you mete out to them, and make an example of them for those who are heedless.O Allaah quickens their defeat and makes their wealth war booty for the Muslims.”“O Allaah grant aid and victory to our brothers - the Mujahideen (all over the world in general, and specifically in Chechnya and Palestine - from amongst the people of the land and the Helpers) - and unite their ranks and bring them together upon the word of truth. O Allaah, direct their aim and strengthen their support, and make them steadfast and send upon them your tranquility and heal their hearts and guide them to all that is good, and cause us (who sit at home) to join their ranks, O Answerer of supplications.”“O Allaah, give them authority and rule, and aid them with your Army of the Heavens and the Earth,O Lord of the Worlds”And peace and blessings of Allaah be upon His Messenger and his family and all the companions.Allahumma Ameen!

O people! Hajj (pilgrimage to the House of Allah) has been made incumbent upon you, so perform Hajj

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) delivered a Khutbah and said,
"O people! Hajj (pilgrimage to the House of Allah) has been made incumbent upon you, so perform Hajj.'' A man inquired: "O Messenger of Allah, is it prescribed every year?'' He (PBUH) remained silent till the man repeated it thrice. Then he (PBUH) said, "Had I replied in the affirmative, it would have surely become obligatory, and you would not have been able to fulfill it.'' Afterwards he said, "Do not ask me so long as I do not impose anything upon you, because those who were before you were destroyed on account of their frequent questioning and their disagreement with their Prophets. So when I order you to do something, do it as far as you can; and when I forbid you from doing anything, eschew it.''

Whoever recites this seven times in the morning or evening

Whoever recites this seven times in the morning or evening,Allah will grant whatever he desires from this world or the next

Hasbiyallaahu laa ilaaha illaa Huwa alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul Arshil Azeem.

حَسْبِيَ اللهُ لَآ إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Ibn As-Sunni (no. 71), Abu Dawud 4/321. Both reports are attributed directly to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The chain of transmission is sound (Sahih). Ibn As-Sunni.

Allah has promised that anyone who says this three times

Allah has promised that anyone who says this three times every morning or evening will be pleased on the Day of Resurrection

رَضِيتُ باللهِ رَبَّاً، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِيناً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَى اللهُ عَلِيهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيَّاً

Ahmad 4/ 337, An-Nasa'i, 'Amalul-Yawm wal-Laylah p. 4, Ibn As-Sunni (no. 68), At-Tirmidhi 5/465. Its chain of transmission is good (Hasan), Ibn Baz, p. 39.

Lottery is a form of Gambling and it's not for You

Bismillaahir Rahmanir Rahim.

Lotteries and raffles are other names for gambling, which is haraam according to the Qur’aan and Sunnah, and the consensus of the scholars. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al Ansaab (stone altars for sacrifices to idols, etc.), and Al Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful.

Shaytaan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allaah and from As Salaah (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?” [al-Maa’idah 5:90-91]

It is not permissible for the Muslims to engage in any kind of gambling at all, whether the money collected from gambling is to spent on charitable projects or otherwise, because it is evil and forbidden, as indicated by the general meaning of the evidence (daleel), and because the earnings derived from gambling are among the kinds of earnings which we must avoid and beware of. And Allaah is the Source of strength.

The Excellence of As-Saum (The Fast) during the first ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah

Asalamu aleykum warahmatulahi wabarakatu
Bismillah Alhamdulilah wasalatu wasalamu ala Rasulilah wa ala ahlihi wa ashabihi wabarik wasalim

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).'' He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it.''
[Al-Bukhari].

Commentary: This Hadith brings out the following two points:

1. Righteous deeds during the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah are far better and more rewarding than righteous deeds done on other days of the year, because they are Hajj days in the sacred season of pilgrimage. Because of their excellence and importance, Allah (SWT) swore by them, thus: "By the Dawn; by the ten Nights...'' (89:1,2)

2. Jihad has great eminence in Islam.

Importance of having Hayaa- "shyness"

Narrated by Abu Huraira (ra): The Prophet (saw) said, "Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Hayaa is a part of faith." (Bukhari)

We also learn from the Prophet (saw) the importance of having Hayaa and how it is not something to be ashamed about, rather one should be ashamed if one does not have it.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar (ra): The Prophet passed by a man who was admonishing his brother regarding Hayaa and was saying, "You are very shy, and I am afraid that might harm you." On that, Allah's Apostle said, "Leave him, for Hayaa is (a part) of Faith." (Bukhari)

Now the above hadeeth is also a form of proof that "shyness" is not just something related to women but also an attribute that believing men should have, for it is an indication of their fear of Allah and an indication of the value of their deen.

Hadith - Choices, Choices, Choices

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “One who observes Istikhara is never disappointed, and the one who takes counsel is never put to shame; and the one who observes economy does not have to depend on others.” [Tabarani]

There are many choices we have to make all the time. Some obvious important matters are those related to marriage or employment. But there are other matters that may appear to be small but could have far reaching consequences. Only Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) knows what is best for you and He is willing to give the advice for free. Whenever you are in doubt or perplexed regarding what to do make Istikhara, consult Allah and ask him what to do!

اللهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلامَ وَالمُسْلِمِينَ، اللهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلامَ وَالمُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ وَالمُشْرِكِينَ وَدَمِّرْ أَعْدآءَ الدِّينِ وَاحْمِ حَوْزَةَ الإسْلامِ يَا رَبَّ العَالَمِينَ.

Allahumma a'izzal-Islama wal-Muslimeen, Allahumma a'izzal-Islama wal-Muslimeen, wa adhillash-shirka wal-Mushrikeen, wa dammir a'daa’ad-deen, wahmi hawzatal-Islami ya rabbal-3alameen.

O Allah! Raise the standing (honour) of Islam and the Muslims. O Allah! Raise the standing and the Muslims, and degrade the standing of Kufr and the Kaafireen, and Shirk and the Mushrikeen. Destroy the enemies of the Deen, and protect the lands of Islam, O Lord of the Worlds.

The Ender of Pleasures

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Remember often the Ender of Pleasures.” [Nasai]

Those who sleep on velvet will surely one day sleep on soil. Kings and paupers alike will have a bed in the earth. Traveler through life, your destination is the grave! What you are traversing is two days journey.

To remember death is like for a student to remember that there will be an exam at the end of the year. The more conscious he is of it, the more he will consistently prepare for it and the better he will do when the time comes. He who parties away, heedless of his studies, will not fare well, and at the end of the year the exam will bring an end to his pleasures.

The Fuel of Hell-Fire

People:
“Those who has disbelieved – their wealth and their children will never benefit them anything with Allah. And those are the ones who are the fuel of Hellfire.”
[ali'-Imran, 3: 10]

Jinn:
“And there are among us Muslims (in submission to Allah) and others who deviate from justice. And whoever accepts Islam has sought out the right path. As for those who deviate, they will be firewood for the Hellfire.”
[al-Jinn, 72: 14-15]

Stones:
“But if you cannot – and of a surety you cannot – then fear the fire whose fuel is men and stones, which is prepared for those who reject faith.”
[al Baqarah, 2: 24]

“O you who believe, save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones, over which are appointed angels, stern and severe, who do not disobey Allah in what He orders them and who do precisely what they are commanded.”
[al-Tahreem, 66: 6]

False Gods
“Verily, you (unbelievers) and what you worship besides Allah are fuel for Hellfire, You will surely come to it. If those had (truly) been gods, they would not have come to it. But all will abide therein eternally.”
[al-Anbiya, 21: 98-99]

“And the Fierce Fire will be brought out before those straying in evil, and it will be said to them, ‘Where are those you worshipped besides Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?’ Then they will be thrown into it (the Hellfire) on their faces – they and those straying in evil and the soldiers of Iblees, all together.”
[ash Shu'ara, 26: 91-95]

6 Benefits of loving ALLAAH {Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala}

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu

1- Allaah becomes his hearing, i.e., he does not listen to anything except that which pleases Allaah.

2- Allaah becomes his seeing, i.e., he does not look at anything but that which pleases Allaah.

3- Allaah becomes his foot with which he walks, i.e., he does not walk for anything except that which is pleasing to Allaah,

4- Allaah becomes his hand with which he strikes, i.e., he does not take revenge for himself but rather for the sake of Allaah, so he does not do anything with his hand except that which pleases Allaah.

5- Allaah answers his du’aa’s

6- Allaah grants him refuge from everything that he dislikes.

So congratulation to those whom Allaah loves, to the close friends of Allaah, to the party of Allaah.

There is no obedience to any created being if that involves disobedience towards the Creator

La Ilaha Illallaah

One must disobey (politely) his parents when they demands Wrong:

1. Do not wear Niqab
2. Shave your Beard
3. Be moderate, do not be extremist and so and so...

“But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not; but behave with them in the world kindly.” [Luqmaan 31:15]

Muhammad {Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam} said: “There is no obedience to any created being if that involves disobedience towards the Creator.”

Imam Shafi`i on his death-bed

Imam Shafi`i on his death-bed was asked by Al Muzni “What is your condition?”

Then Imam Shafi’ (رحمه الله) replied,

“I am journeying from this world, and departing from my brothers, drinking from the cup of death, and upon Allah, Exalted is His remembrance, arriving. And no! By Allah, I do not know if my soul is travelling towards Paradise ...or the Fire!”

Imam Shafi’ (رحمه الله) then began to cry profusely and recited the following;

إلَيكَ إلـهُ الخَلْـق أرْفَــعُ رَغبَتِي *** و‘نْ كُنتُ يَا ذا المَنّ والجُودِ مُجْرِما

‘To You, the Creator, I raise my longing,

And even if I am, O possessor of kindness and generosity, an evildoer, a criminal .......

The required response to the massacre of Gaza is known.

The response, and the only response.... is to mobilise the Muslim armies to gather in them all those who are able as soldiers and fight

Allah (swt) has revealed:

“And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allah, and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: ‘Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help.’”
[TMQ 4:75]

It is the Muslim Armies that bear the burden of responsibility to respond to this military onslaught with a military intervention. If they do not respond to this obligation then what is the purpose of the army’s existence? Why do they even bother to train and equip themselves?

There is no traitor of greater treachery than the leader of the people

The Prophet (saw) also said:"If
Allah invests to someone the affairs of the Muslims and he (i.e. the
ruler) ignores their rights, denies their access to him and neglects
their needs, Allah will not answer his prayer nor realize his hopes and
will act towards him with indifference on the Day of Resurrection."[Abu Dawud &Tirmidhi]

The Prophet (saw) said:"A
ruler who, having control over the affairs of the Muslims, does not
strive diligently for their betterment and does not serve them
sincerely, will not enter Jannah with them."[Muslim]

Not only does the ruler have to respond to the people under his care but he must also answer to a higher authority, Malik-al-Mulk (The Owner of All Sovereignty).

“Every traitor
will have a flag on the Day of Judgement to identify him according to the amount of his treachery; there is no traitor of greater treachery than the leader of the people”[Bukhari & Muslim]

A great Sunnah which will make you Humble and decrease your love for this Duniya

Leave your soft bed and try to sleep on Mat. If our Prophet Muhammad {Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam} can sleep on mat, why we can't? Is here anyone among us who is better than him? None.

Benefits of this Sunnah:

1. Inshallaah it will remove our arrogance and make us humble.

2. Reduce our lust for this duniya.

3. Increase your love for Muhammad {Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam}, help you to realize his simplicity.

4. And the most important thing, Satisfaction of ALLAAH and His Messenger {Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam}.

One of the reasons responsible for our present situation:

"The People will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their food." Someone asked, "Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?" He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, "No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be froth and scum like that carried down by a torr...ent (of water), and Allah will take the fear of you from the breasts (hearts) of your enemy and cast al-wahn into your hearts." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is al-wahn?" He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, "Love of the world and dislike of death."
[Abu Dawud and Ahmad].

Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.'s Last Sermon

Date delivered: 632 A.C., 9th day of Dhul al Hijjah, 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat.

After praising, and thanking God, he said:

"O People, listen well to my words, for I do not know whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and.....

TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Treat others justly so that no one would be unjust to you.

Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. God has forbidden you to take usury (riba), therefore all riba obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital , however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer inequity. God has judged that there shall be no riba and that all the riba due to `Abbas ibn `Abd al Muttalib shall henceforth be waived.

Every right arising out of homicide in pre-Islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that I waive is that arising from the murder of Rabi`ah ibn al Harith ibn `Abd al Muttalib.

O Men, the Unbelievers indulge in TAMPERING WITH THE CALENDAR in order to make permissible that which God forbade, and to forbid that which God has made permissible. With God the months are twelve in number. Four of them are sacred, three of these are successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Sha`ban. Beware of the devil, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights over your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under God's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Treat your women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers. It is your right and they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste...

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship God (The One Creator of the Universe), perform your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your financial obligation (zakah) of your wealth. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has NO SUPERIORITY over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has ANY SUPERIORITY over an Arab; also a white has NO SUPERIORITY over a black nor a black has ANY SUPERIORITY over white except by PIETY and GOOD ACTION. Learn that every Muslim is a BROTHER to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute ONE BROTHERHOOD. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do INJUSTICE to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before God (The Creator) and you will answer for your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, NO PROPHET OR MESSENGER WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I am leaving you with the Book of God (the QUR'AN*) and my SUNNAH (the life style and the behavioral mode of the Prophet), if you follow them you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness O God, that I have conveyed your message to your people.

*The Qur'an: Revealed to Prophet Muhammad during the period from 610-632 AC. The first five verses revealed are: (1) Read in the name of your Lord, Who created. (2) Created man out of a clot that clings (in the womb). (3) Read and your Lord is the Most Bountiful. (4) Who taught by the pen. (5) Taught man that which he knew not.

The Last Sermon Confirms the Main Points from the Quran (by Shahid Athar, M. D.)
"Oh Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, news bearer and a warner and as someone who invites people to God by His permission and a shining Lamp" (33:45-46).

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was sent to mankind as a news bearer and a wamer for he spoke the truth and did not invent something of his own. The purpose of this article is to confirm the statements made by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during his farewell address during the last pilgrimage (10 AH).

After praising and thanking God, the Messenger said, "Oh people, listen to my words carefully for I know not whether I will meet you on such an occasion again."
TRUST AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Sermon: "Oh people, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Remember that you will indeed appear before God and answer for your actions."
Quran: "If anyone killed a person unless it is for a murder or spreading mischief on earth it would be as it he killed the whole mankind, and if anyone who saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of whole mankind" (5:32). "Then on that day not a soul will be wronged in the least and you shall but be prepaid in the needs of your past deeds" (36:54).

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
Sermon: "Return the things kept with you as trust (amanah) to their rightful owners."

Quran: "If one of you entrusts (something) the one who has been entrusted with it should hand over his security and he should heed God and not hide any testimony. Anyone who hides it-has a sinfull heart" (2:283).
INTEREST (RIBAH)

Sermon: "All dues of interest shall stand cancelled and you will have only your capital back. Allah has forbidden interest, and I cancel the dues of interest payable to my uncle Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib."

Quran: "You who believe fear God and write off anything that remains outstanding from lending at interest if you are (true) God and His Messenger If you repent you may retail your principal do not wrong and you will not be wronged" (2:278).

TREATMENT OF WIFE (SPOUSE)
Sermon: "Oh people, your wives have a certain right over you and you have a certain right over them. Treat them well and be kind to them for they are your committed partners and commited helpers.

Quran: "Provide for them the rich according to his income and the poor according to his means, a provision according to the custom. This is an obligation for those who act kindly" (2:236). "Treat them politely even if you dislike them,. Perhaps you dislike something in which God has placed much good" (4:19).

WARNING ABOUT SATAN
Sermon: "Beware of Satan, he is desperate to divert you from the worship of God so beware of him in matters of your way of life."

Quran: "Verily Satan is an enemy to you so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his followers that they may become companions of the blazing fire" (35:6).

BROTHERHOOD
Sermon: "Oh you people listen carefully. All the believers are brothers. You are not allowed to the things belonging to another Muslim unless he give it to you willingly."

Quran: "Believers are but brothers so set things right between your brothers and fear God so that you may find mercy" (49: 1 0).

SUPERIORITY IS ONLY IN PIETY AND SUBMISSION
Sermon: "Oh people, no one is higher than the other unless he is higher in obedience to God. No Arab is superior to a non-Arab except in piety."

Quran:"The most honored among you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you and God has full knowledge and is will acquainted (with all things)" (49:134). "Who can be better in religion than he who submits his whose self to God, does good and follows the ways of abraham for God did take Abraham for a friend" (4:125).

IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL WE MUST OBEY BOTH GOD AND HIS MESSENGER

Sermon: "Oh people, reflect on my words. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and my example and if you follow these, you will not fail."

Quran: "And obey God and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy" (3:132).

OBSERVE THE PILLARS OF ISLAM

Sermon: "Listen to me carefully. Worship God and offer prescribed prayer, observe fasting in the month of Ramadan and pay the poor-due."

Quran: "And establish the prescribed prayer, practice regular charity and bow down with those who bow down" (2:43). "Oh you who believe, fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you that you may learn self-restraint" (2:183).

DUTIES REGARDING THOSE WORKING UNDER US

Sermon: "Oh people, be mindful of those who work under you. Feed and clothe them as you feed and clothe yourselves."
Quran: "Act kindly just as God treated you kindly" (28:77). "God has favored some of you over their provisions to those whom their right hand controls so that they become equal (partners) in it. Would they thus disclaim God's favor" (16:71).

MUHAMMAD WAS THE LAST PROPHET
Sermon: "Oh people, no prophet or messenger will come after me and no new faith will emerge."

Quran: "Muhammad is not the father of any of you men but he is God's Messenger and the Seal of Prophets. God is aware of everything" (33:40).

OUR DUTY IS TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF THE PROPHET (QURAN)
Sermon: "All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again (and people did).

Quran: "Oh Messenger, communicate whatever has been sent down to you by your Lord. If you do not do so, you will not have conveyed his message" (5:67).

Sermon: Have I conveyed the Message of God to you? asked the Prophet facing towards the heavens. The audience answered in one voice, "You have, God is the witness."

Quran: As the Messenger finished the following revelation came to him, "Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favors upon you and have chosen for you Islam as the way of life for you" (5:3)

Hadith of the Day (Belief)

Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 2 :: Hadith 47

Narrated Abu Huraira:

One day while the Prophet was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" Allah's Apostle replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.

1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.

2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except Allah.

The Prophet then recited: "Verily, with Allah (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour--." (31. 34) Then that man (Gabriel) left and the Prophet asked his companions to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet said, "That was Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah said: He (the Prophet) considered all that as a part of faith

Beautiful Hadith

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said: 'When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between the shroud and the chest of the deceased.

When after the burial, the people return home, 2 angels, Munkar and Nakeer(names of two special Angels), come in the grave and try to separate this handsome man so that they may be able to interrogate the dead man in privacy about his faith.

But the handsome man says, 'He is my companion, he is my friend. I will not leave him alone in any case. If you are appointed for interrogation, do your job. I cannot leave him until I get him admitted into Paradise '.

Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, 'I am the Qur'an, which you used to read, sometimes in a loud voice and sometimes in a low voice. Do not worry. After the interrogation of Munkar and Naker, you will have no grief.'When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for him from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in Heaven) silk bedding filled with musk..

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said: 'On the Day of Judgement, before Allah, no other Intercessor will have a greater status than the Qur'an, neither a Prophet nor an angel.'

Motive:: To misguide people; to bring as many jinn and humans as possible to Hell with him

What he likes:: He loves it when people swear, cheat, steal, date. He absolutely *LOVES* it when people delay their prayers, he likes to eat with people who don't mention Allah's (swt) name , he likes to be the third when a non-mahram guy and girl are alone with eachother in an enclosed room (where no one could hear them/see them). HE ABSOLUTELY loves it when people watch bad movies and bad T.V shows, as well as look at bad magazines. MUSIC: he LOVES music (bad music AS well as the ones with instruments)..HE LOVES it when people listen to music…especially the one's that have female singers and the ones that talk about dating, sex, drugs. . .He likes it nice and loud…oh and if you REALLY want to please him..sing along…oh DANCE too..(in a public mixed environment). Conclusively, Shaytan likes for people to be doomed..he likes to miguide people and lead them astray. He does this, laughs, and declares complete innocence from doing so.

***WHOEVER wants to please Shaytan..If you want to make him smile..let him win..DO THIS STUFF!!!! If you do this stuff..YOU'RE practically WORSHIPPING him…. you're letting his EVERY dream and wish come true….

What he dislikes:: He HATES it when people pray. HE totally hates it when people read Qur'an and make dhikr…he doesn't like it when people remember and acknowledge Allah (SWT). He really doesn't like it when people want to please Allah (SWT)…Hates for people to wake up for Fajr. HE DOES NOT LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE are kind to their parents. He asks teenagers to shout at their parents and demand rights. He lets all the teenagers know that their parents do NOT control them and have no authority over them whatsoever. Kind words, patience, love, smiles, care—HE DETESTS IT. He doesn't like people who Fear Allah (SWT).

***Whoever wants to AGGRAVATE and DISPLEASE Shaytan..LOVE Allah (SWT) and do all this good stuff!!! You will then be rewarded by the creator, the creator of the Heavens and the Earth…the creator of Shaytan.

A Divinely-revealed Belief system ('Aqidah)

In the Name of Allah, and blessings and peace be upon our master the Messenger of Allah, and upon his good and pure family and Companions.

Allah says:

"And with truth We have sent it down (i.e. the Qur'an), and with truth it has descended.And We have sent you (O Muhammad (SAW) as nothing but a bearer of glad tidings (of Paradise, for those who follow your Message of Islamic Monotheism), and a warner (of Hell-fire for those who refuse to follow your Message of Islamic Monotheism). " [Qur'an 17:105)

"And truly ,this (Qur'an ) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists),which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibril (Gabriel)] has brought down upon your heart (O Muhammad (SAW) that you may be (one ) of the warners, in the plain Arabic Language." [Qur'an 26:192-195]

Earthly, man-made belief systems are bound to collapse sooner or later, but the Divinely revealed belief~ system of Islam abides and continues to spread.

" When those who disbelieve had in their hearts pride and haughtiness- the pride and haughtiness of the time of ignorance, then Allah sent down His Sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) upon His Messenger(SAW)

and upon the believers , and made them stick to the word of piety (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but Allah); and they were well entitled to it and worthy of it . And Allah is the All-Knower of everything." [Qur'an 48:26]

Glorify and Exalted be He (Allah ) [above all that (evil) they associate with Him ,

Truely Muhammad Rasullullah (SAW) but a warner and a bringer of glad tidings unto people who believe.

KHADIJAH (radiallahu ‘anhaa)

KhadIjah, the First of the Believers When the Prophet came home after receiving the revelation and told her about the story, she calmed him, and then she took her overgarment and set forth to her cousin Waraqa ibn Nawfal. There she related to him all that her husband Muhammad had told her of what he had seen and heard. "Quddus, quddus (grand, grand!)-, exclaimed Waraqa, "O Khadijah, it is a very good news! Certainly by Him in Whose Hand is Waraqa's soul, if what you have related to me is true, O Khadijah, there has, after all, come unto him the Great Namus (Jibril or Gabriel) who came to Moses. And certainly he is the Prophet of this people. Congratulate him. Let him now be steadfast". With this message, Khadijah hurried back home and told her husband what Waraqa had said. This calmed his fears somewhat. Khadijah was now a convinced believer. She was a true believer. She was a devoted believer. She was indeed the first believer.

She was a true believer and steadfast. She was devout. She performed all the rituals of Islam. She observed the stipulated Salat with Muhammad (Peace & Prayers Be Upon Him). She was always the first to learn the Qur'an and Commandments of Allah. She fasted as Muhammad did. She gave alms. She gave in the cause of Allah all the wealth she had. On no occasion did she think of retaining the slightest bit of wealth for herself. She had, in fact, sacrificed her ease and comfort for the sake of Allah and His Messenger.

This was Khadijah, whom Muhammad (saw) always remembered with feelings of love and affection, even when he was later the Sole ruler of Arabia ...Mashaalah...

The best day

Reported by Imam Muslim, Abu Dawud, Al-Nisai, and Al-Tirmidhi, that Rasoolillah (SAW) had said, "The best day during which the sun have risen is Friday. It is the Day Adam was created. It is the day when Adam entered paradise and also when he was taken out from it. It is also the day on which the day of judgment takes place."

It is also recommended that Muslims recite Surah Al-Kahf, because of the authentic hadith reported by Imam Al-Baihaqee and Al-Hakim, that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had said, "Who ever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, Allah will give him a light to the next Friday." ~Salaam Jumaah Mubarak!!

Life in Heaven

People in Heaven will be in houses where running water of rivers are under them.

"A home in Heaven, lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers to dwell therein forever"

There are gardens of trees, of all types, with the best tastes and appearance.

"There will be two gardens... containing all kinds (of trees and delights); ... In them [each] will be two springs flowing;... In them will be fruits of every kind, two and two...

Heaven will be the best for everyone

"There will be there all that the souls could desire, all that the eyes could delight in.."

The people in heaven are going to live a happy life without sickness, death, or any other problems. People will not get old. There will be things [food, etc] that the human eye has never seen; that the human ear has never heard; that the heart has never ever felt; that the mind has never thought of.

Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) said: "The people of Heaven eat, drink, and do not defecate , blow their nose, or urinate; but their food is to be burped; and that their smell is like musk...

The Importance of Prayer

1. The first thing you are required to do after pronouncing Shahadah is Salah. Salah is a primary pillar of Islam. In other words, it upholds one's Islam. Abandonment of prayer will negate a person's Islam. Without Salah, one becomes a Kaffir.

"Verily between man and between polytheism and unbelief is the negligence of prayer."Muslim

2. The performance of prayer, as well as the grade of performance, affects all other deeds in life. The Prophet, (saws), said:

"The first thing that the servant will be called to account for on the Day of Judgment will be Salah. If it is good, his deeds will have been good. If it is bad, his deeds will have been bad." At-Tabarani

Salah, performed correctly with khushoo' is the key to success and true faith. Allah, (swt), tells us:

"Successful indeed are The Believers, those who humble themselves in their prayers.Qur'an 23:1-2

Muslims, in general are very deficient in their Salah. These deficiencies range from small to severe, yet everyone suffers as a consequence. Prayer benefits the individual as well as the society. If this benefit is not gained, not only will the individual Muslim suffer but the society will face the loss as well.

The situation of today's Islamic society is not very optimistic and it is worsening. This is due to progression of sin and lack of repentance. In order to combat this we must return to the performance of obligatory acts and render them as they should be performed. This, especially in the case of Salah, will do much to improve the state of Muslims. Why be astonished at our deterioration if our own Salah is cursing us/ A "return to Islam", involves true, sincere repentance and obedience of Allah's commands, If believers don't stop sinning, punishment will come from Allah, (swt).

Du'a

We should seek guidance and help from Allah for proper and submissive prayer. The Prophet Ibrahim (as) used to make the following du'a:

"O Lord! Make me and my offspring of those who establish regular Salah. O our Lord, and accept my supplication." Qur'an 14:40

Malak Ghair Allah-about a young man who repents

"...Bliss belongs to the bondsman who strives for Allah against his own nature and passions: he who then defeats his passion wins Allah's pleasure, and the one whose intellect leaves behind the self which commands evil through his striving jihad, submission and humility in the service of Allah has won a great victory..."

Al-Bayhaqi narrated that Abu Dharr RA said: I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what will save a person from Hellfire?”

He said, “Belief in Allaah.”

I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, are there are any deeds that should accompany that belief?”

He said, ‘He should give from that provision which Allaah has granted him.”

I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if he is poor and does not have anything to give?”

He said, “He should enjoy what is good and forbid what is evil.”

I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if he cannot enjoy what is good and forbid what is evil?”

He said, “He should help the one who is helpless (i.e., has no skills and cannot earn a learning).”

I said, “What if he himself is helpless and cannot do anything?”

He said, “He should help one who has been wronged.”

I said, “What if he is weak and cannot help one who has been wronged?”

He said, “You do not want to think of your companion as having any good in him. Let him refrain from harming people.”

I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, if he does that, will he enter Paradise?”

He said, “There is no believer who does not strive to acquire one of these characteristics, but I will take him by the hand and lead him into Paradise.”

Inside the Great Mystery

For years, copying other people, I tried to know myself.

From within, I couldn't decide what to do.

Unable to see, I heard my name being called.

Then I walked outside.

Stay in the company of lovers.

Those other kinds of people, they each

want to show you something.

A crow will lead you to an empty barn,

A parrot to sugar.

For a while we lived with people,

but we saw no sign in them of the faithfullness we wanted.

It's better to hide completely within

as water hides in metal, as fire hides in a rock.

Inside the Great Mystery that is,

we don't really own anything.

What is this competition we feel then,

Ibn Masud lived up to the time of the Khalifah Uthman (radiAllahu anhu). On Ibn Masud's deathbed, Uthman came to visit him and said, "What is your illness?"...... "My sins," replied Ibn Mas'ud

"And what do you desire?," asked Uthman......"The mercy of my Lord," replied Ibn Mas'ud

"Should I give you your grant, which you have refused for years?,"

"I don't need it," said Ibn Mas'ud........"Let it be for your daughters after you," replied Uthman

"Do you fear that my children will become poor, Uthman?

I have commanded them to read Surah al-Waqiah every night, for I have heard the Prophet saying: "Whoever reads al-Waqiah every night shall not be afflicted by poverty ever."That night Ibn Masud passed away, his tongue moist with remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Qur'an.......(RadiAllahu anhu.)

AL-QUDDUS: The Holy

AL-QUDDUS:

The Holy

"He is absolute pure, devoid of blemish,

shortcoming, weakness, heedlessness or error.

His essence, attributes, names, words,

actions and justice are pure.

He is not resembling His creation in anything

and free from anything anyone may imagine about Him."

Essence of Abstinence

You who are kept in pawn to food,

you can be free if you suffer yourself to be weaned,

Truly in hunger there is abundant nourishment:

search after it diligently and cherish the hope of finding it.

Feed on the Light, be like the eye,

be in harmony with the angels,

O best of humankind.

Like the Angel,

make glorification of God your sustenance.

See how the hand is invisible while the pen is writing;

the horse careening, yet the rider is unseen;

the arrow flying, but the bow out of sight;

individual souls existing,

while is Soul of the souls is hidden.

Don't strive so much to complete your worldly affairs;

don't strive in any affair that's not sacred.

Otherwise at the end. you'll leave incomplete,

your spiritual affairs damaged and your bread unbaked.

The beautifying of your grave isn't done

by means of wood and stone and plaster;

no, but by digging your grave in spiritual purity

and burying your own selfhood in His (mission),

and by becoming His dust, buried in love of Him,

so that from His breath, yours may be replenished.

The smell of pride and greed and lust

will betray you when you speak

as much as the onions you have eaten.

Many prayers are rejected because of their smell;

the corrupt heart reveals itself in the tongue.

But if your meaning is pure,

God (may) accept even your clumsy expression.

Ahmad Sam’ani [Rawh al-arwah, p.312]

Inform me about an act which would entitle me to get into Al-Jannah, and away from Hell-Fire.

(Mu’adh) I said to Allah’s Messenger (saw) : Inform me about an act which would entitle me to get into Al-Jannah, and remove me away from Hell-Fire. He (the Prophet (saw)) said: You have asked me about a matter (which ostensibly appears to be) difficult but it is easy to those for whom Allah, the Exalted, has made it easy. Worship Allah and do not associate anything with him, establish prayer, pay the Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadhan and perform Hajj to the (sacred) House (Ka’bah). He again said: Should I not direct you to the gateways of good? Listen to me: The fasting is a shield against evil, the charity extinguishes (the fire of sin) just as water extinguishes fire, the prayer of a person during the middle of the night. Then he recited: ‘Who forsake their beds...(up to)....they used to do.’ Then he said: Should I not direct you to the highest level of this matter, to the pillar on which (it rests) and its top? I said: Allah’s Messenger (saw) yes (do tell me). He said: The uppermost level of the matter is Al-Islam. Its pillar is the prayer and its top is Jihaad. He then said: Should I not inform you of the sheet anchor of all this? I said: Allah’s Messenger (saw) (of course do it). He took hold of his tongue and said: Exercise restraint on it. I said: Messenger (saw) of Allah, would we be held responsible for what we say with it? Thereupon he said: Mu’adh, may your mother be bereaved. Will anything else besides (irresponsible) talk cause the people to be thrown into the Hell-Fire upon their faces or on their nostrils?

Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise

A Bedouin came to the Prophet (saw) and said, “Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise, if I do it.” The Prophet (saw) said, “Worship Allah, and worship none along with Him, offer the (five) prescribed compulsory prayers perfectly, pay the compulsory Zakat, and fast the month of Ramadhan.” The Bedouin said, “By Him, in Whose Hands my life is, I will not do more than this.” When he (the Bedouin) left, the Prophet (saw) (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said, “Whoever likes to see a man of Al-Jannah, then he may look at this man.”

Mastering ourselfs doesn't require us to be tyrannically self critical, only to watch what we do and be willing to learn from our mistakes. No one is perfect. We are all here making mistakes and learning from them every day. As Saiyidina Ali makes clear,"The sin that makes you sad and repentant is liked better by Allah than the good that turns you vain and conceited."Most people avoid facing their faults by constructing elaborate justifications to explain them away. But as to be asserts, " Self-justification is worse than the original offence."There is always a good reason why people have their particular failings, but when it comes to ourselves we need to make sure this doesn't become an excuse for not changing-- because if we don't change we will continue to suffer.Take up the challenge of self-mastery before we become too stuck in our ways.

False Love & True Love

The beauty of his face increase in your eyes, the more you behold it.

The vicissitudes of life are wealth, beauty and youth,

We ourselves have seen this, and history , too, bears witness.

My life is still hanging around the noose,

I swear , my love , even by gaining you , my thirst is not quenched.

O Allah , I repent of all my sins,

But I repent not love of Laila.

O Lord, never remove my love for her,

And have mercy upon that person who says amen for my

Supplication.

I circle the walls of the house of Laila,

Sometimes I kiss this wall , sometimes I kiss that one,

It is not love for these walls that has infatuated my heart,

But the love who lives within them.

For crime of loving you , I am being killed,

And there is much hue and cry,

You too , come upon the roof , and watch this strange spectacle.

The heart envies the eyes- the pleasure of its observation,

And the eyes envy the heart- the pleasure of its reflection.

Even though I have become old, weak, and feeble,

The moment I behold you, I am young.

Be lured not by transitory beauty,

Like an exquisite snake it strikes.

H e who reveres the appearance of this world,

Will always have regret and sorrow.

Love whoever you wish, but one day you will be

the True Love…

Direct you to the All-Living and Ever-Lasting,

Who exists forever and ever,

For you , Allah is the quencher of the thirst of your soul.

The dust the graves will turn,

The bodies of the beautiful.

To love those among creation that Allah has commanded to love

Is in truth a completion of love for Allah.

A hadith states that the Prophet s.a.w used to supplicate:

O Allah, I ask of You Your love and the love for those

who love you.

Therefore , to love the Propet s.a.w is in reality to love Allah s.w.t.

Similarly , love for the noble Companions a.s the family of the Prophet s.a.w,

and the friends of Allah (awliya).

True love is an act of worship(ibadah)

Whereas the false symbolic love is impermissible and sinful.

True love secures one’s religion as well as worldly-life;

whereas metaphorical or false love destroys them.

True love will one day result in meeting the Beloved s.a.w ,

whereas metaphorical love will result in separation from the beloved.

True love illuminates the heart;

whereas metaphorical love darkens it.

True love breathes life into the heart;

whereas metaphorical love brings it death.

True love brings one respect and honor;

whereas metaphorical loves’s zeal is temporary.

In true love the lovers’ final abode is Heaven;

whereas in false love the lover’s final abode is Hell.

True love’s road is one on which all difficulties are endured easily

wheares in false love every difficulty is a punishment.

In True Love the lovers’ faces glow with the freshness of spring;

whereas in false love the lovers’ face cast the dreadriness of winter….

The Love of Allah and for Allah is the best of True Love’s

The vendor of the heart.

Life is given in order to worship,

Life without worship is shameful.

The way of love is unlike all other ways,

The creed of lovers is district from all other creeds.

Honor and disgrace in life are dependent upon Allah ,

He who is the lover of the beauty of Allah

He who is distressed turns his attention in that direction,

Certainly there must be something in the name of Allah.

Although trapped daily to earn a livelihood,

Never did I neglect thinking of You.

Seeking neither means nor objects, my needs I myself fulfill,

By thanking You, thinking You, and taking Your name.

O Allah , how may I call unto You , when I am but a sinner,

Yet how may I not call unto You, when You are the Most Gracious?

Be not heedless of the Lord for even the blink of an eye,

Lest He direct His attention toward you,and find you unaware.

The person who diverts his attention from Allah for even

The blink of an eye will not attain his goal.

My Beloved is such that there is no beloved besides Him,

Nor is ther place in my heart for any other.

My Beloved may be hidden from my sight,

But He is not absent from my heart.

You are my dear , my motivation, my happiness.

My heart refuses to love any other besides You.

Oh my dear, my motivation, my desire.

Long have I been yearning , when will I finally meet You?

I seek not the comforts of Heaven, my desire is only to meet You.

You are the innermost desire of my heart,

Love of You is the deepest thought in my mind.

Whenever I glance at the world around me,

I find that today there was naught but You,

And that tomorrow holds naught but You.

May I forget everything in Your rememberance,

And may I remember not anyone else.

May I forsake unto Thee all dear to my heart

And may my heart be filled by You.

May I set fire to my joys and happiness.

And may my heart ache for Thee alone.

May I be blinded to all I know,

And may I turn to Thee and none other.

For everything that you part from , there is a replacement,

But if you disassociate from Allah, there is no replacement for Him.

Verily , everything except Allah is false and spurious

And every blessing is undeniably fleeting and short-lived.

Allah s.w.t says in the Glorious Quran:

And those who believe are intense in their love for Allah.(2:165)

Love may becalled love, but it is not love if it lacks intensity,

The ways of love are well established; there is no room for innovation.

Love cause the bitterness to become sweet, and silver to turn to gold,

Love erases all difficulty ; love is the cure for all pain.

Muhabbah(love) is called muhabbah because it erases

Everything from the heart except the Beloved.

Muhabbah is the erasure of qualities of the lover,

Affirming the essential being of the Beloved.

The lovers of Allah have taken the honor of this world

And honor of the Hereafter because the blessed

Prophet a said: “A man will be with whom he loves.”

The snake of love has stung my heart,

There is no doctor or charmer to cure it

Except the Beloved who fills my heart,

With Him lies my cure and charm.

He whose heart is alive with love does not die,

Rather his imprint lasts forever, recorded in the annals of history.

Love is the reason for the creation of the universe.

Reflect upon the words of your Lord: ‘I wished to be known.’

A powerful effect indeed has the gaze of a friend of Allah,

I saw it change the fate of thousands.

Words which come from the heart

Have an indelible effect.

Serenity is difficult in the workings of fate,

Change is the only stable thing in time.

The Beloved’s favors are irregular, but His anger is occasional,

My Beloved is to be lauded under all circumstances.

I’ am not conscious of myself, nor the world.

I sit entranced by Your beauty,

Ask the stars about the state of my life,

I remain awake at night, in Your contemplation…

Cast at least a slight glance toward the lovers,

If not always , at least every now and then.

With one glance, what hopes You plant in me,

The hope for just one glance of You.

Except for reaching You , everything is useless,

One night reaching You in exchange for one hundred

worlds is graciously accepted.

You ask me,”What is entry into Heaven?’

Meeting with the Friend is itself entry into Heaven.

What is this season of autumn? It is only His veiling,

If He casts His gaze, it would soon be spring.

A beautiful being glanced in my direction,

Now I can only sigh-speechless and bedazzled.

What fault is it of mine? My heart is but a piece of flesh,

His gaze would make a hole even in stone.

O Beloved, my heart is mad about You,

Without worry, come into Your home , it is indeed Your home.
