Have YOU betrayed the Prophet Muhammad(saw)? - State of the Ummah

In Pictures: Muslims in China Eid Fitr Prayer 2010

State Terrorism of USA UK & ISRAEL

The most powerful countries today are holding the global population to ransom through their destructive policies and systematic exploitation of people and resources. Their repressive measures tantamount to terrorism beyond any extremes. These heads of terrorism are:

USA
Under the guise of "War on Terror" it has thrown away the rule books when it comes to dealing with the Muslims. They have not only legitimised and implemented State Terrorism throughout the world, but they have insisted on all countries to adopt its standard as a practice against the Muslim populations. They have successfully bullied the world into two unending wars, which till this day, they have yet to give clear justifications for their aims. It is in their name that much of the oppression and State Terrorism is implemented by other countries.

UK
Whilst trying to be the civilised face of State Terrorism, the UK government went to extreme lengths to sell Bush's "War on Terror" to the rest of the World. To the extent it lied to its own people, decieving them in order to drag the UK into an unjustifiable war. Putting them in harm's way in order to do America's bidding. With two new PM's since Blair, UK is still continuing its State Terrorism inland and abroad. The so called UK "Anti-Terror" Laws have served to instil fear amongst the masses and to silence the entire Muslim community. Muslims have become second class citizens, being alienated, vilified and made targets for victimisation, whilst having very little or no rights left to protect them.

Israel
Israel is free to continue its brutal terrorism over the defenceless Muslim population of Palestine, knowing that it has unquestioning support from America, UN and silence from the rest of the world. The world is forced to watch helplessly in astonishment, as Israel continually works to strangle and annihilate an entire population who have been made to be cut off from the rest of the world.

Arab & Muslim Leaders
The puppet leaders of the Muslim countries, offer their own citizens as sacrificial lambs to please their masters in the west. They serve as proxies to brutally subjugate the Muslim population worldwide, facilitating the destruction and exploitation of the Muslims and preventing the rise of Islam as an authority. They hide behind Islamic clerics who cement their thrones with legitimacy and justify their evil, whether out of fear or for some petty gain.

There are millions of people suffering in silence whose voices need to be heard. It is time the people realised the systematic State Terrorism being imposed around the world in the name of security and keeping the peace. These states, their policies and actions need to be exposed and held to account. People must realise that the solution to global problems is not expected to come from these states, but an alternative must be sought.

O' Ummah of the Qur'an by Salem Al-Amry

Shaikh Salem Al-Amry talks on an excellent and very important subject that every muslim needs to see, hear and to know, O' Ummah of the Qur'an.

Imaam Abu Haneefah rahimahullaah and the atheist

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him),
who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him),
who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
Allah Almighty has said:
The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so.
And he reviled Me and he had no right to do so.
As for his denying Me, it is his saying:
He will not remake me as He made me at first (1) -
and the initial creation [of him] is no easier for Me than remaking him.
As for his reviling Me, it is his saying:
Allah has taken to Himself a son, while I am the One, the Everlasting Refuge.
I begot not nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.
(1) i.e., bring me back to life after death.
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by an-Nasa'i).

Long ago in the city of Baghdad, there was a Muslim empire. On one side of the River Tigris were the royal palaces and on the other side was the city. The Muslims were gathered in the Royal Palace when an athiest approached them. He said to them, ‘I don’t believe in God, there cannot be a God, you cannot hear Him or see Him, you’re wasting your time! Bring me your best debator and I will debate this issue with him.’

The best debator at the time was Imam Abu Hanifah Rahimullah. A messenger from amongst the Muslims was sent over the River Tigris to the city, where Abu Hanifah Rahimullah was, in order to tell him about the athiest who was awaiting him. On crossing the River Tigris, the messenger conveyed the message to Abu Hanifah Rahimullah saying, ‘Oh Abu Hanifah, an athiest is waiting for you, to debate you, please come!’ Abu Hanifah Rahimullah told the messeneger that he would be on his way.

The messenger went over the River Tigris once again and to the Royal Palaces, where everyone including the athiest awaited the arrival of Abu Hanifah Rahimullah. It was sunset at the time and one hour had passed, but Abu Hanifah Rahimullah still hadn’t arrived. Another hour had passed, but still there was no sign of him. The Muslims started to become tense and worried about his late arrival. They did not want the athiest to think that they were too scared to debate him, yet they did not want to take up the challenge themselves as Abu Hanifah Rahimullah was the best of Debators from amongst the Muslims. Another hour passed, and suddenly the athiest started laughing and said, ‘ Your best debator is too scared! He knows he’s wrong, he is too frightened to come and debate with me. I gurantee he will not turn up today.’

The Muslims increased in apprehension and eventually it had passed midnight, and the athiest had a smile on his face. The clock ticked on, and finally Abu Hanifah Rahimullah had arrived. The Muslims inquired about his lateness and remarked, ‘Oh Abu Hanifah, a messenger sent for you hours ago, and you arrive now, explain your lateness to us.’

Abu Hanifah Rahimullah apologises for his lateness and begins to explain, while the atheist listens to his story.

‘Once the messenger delivered the message to me, I began to make my way to the River Tigris, and on reaching the river bank I realised there was no boat, in order to cross the river. It was getting dark, and I looked around, there was no boat anywhere nor was there a navigator or a sailor in order for me to cross the river to get to the Royal Palaces. I continued to look around for a boat, as I did not want the athiest to think I was running away and did not want to debate with him.

I was standing on the river bank looking for a navigator or a boat when something caught my attention in the middle of the river. I looked forward, and to my amazement I saw planks of wood rising to the surface from the sea bed. I was shocked, amazed, I couldn’t believe what I saw seeing. Ready made planks of wood were rising up to the surface and joining together. They were all the same width and length, I was astounded at what I saw.

I continued to look into the middle of the river, and then I saw nails coming up from the sea floor. They positioned themselves onto the boat and held the planks together, without them being banged. I stood in amazement and thought to myself, ‘Oh Allah, how can this happen, planks of wood rising to the surface by itself, and then nails positioning themselves onto the boat without being banged?’ I could not undertsand what was happening before my eyes.’

The athiest meanwhile was listening with a smile on his face. Abu Hanifah Rahimullah continued, ‘I was still standing on the river bank watching these planks of wood join together with nails. I could see water seeping through the gaps in the wood, and suddenly I saw a sealant appear from the river and it began sealing the gaps without someone having poured it, again I thought, ‘Ya Allah, how is this possible, how can sealant appear and seal the gaps without someone having poured it, and nails appear without someone having banged them.’ I looked closer and I could see a boat forming before my eyes, I stood in amazement and was filled with shock. All of a sudden a sail appeared and I thought to myself, ‘How is this happening, a boat has appeared before my eyes by itself, planks of wood, nails, sealant and now a sail, but how can I use this boat in order to cross the river to the Royal Palaces?’

I stood staring in wonderment and suddenly the boat began to move. It came towards me against the current. It stood floating beside me while I was on the river bank, as if telling me to embark onto it. I went on the boat and yet again it began to move. There was no navigator or sailor on the boat, and the boat began to travel towards the direction of the royal palaces, without anyone having programmed it as to where to go. I could not understand what was happening, and how this boat had formed and was taking me to my destination against the flow of water. The boat eventually reached the other side of the River Tigris and I disembarked. I turned around and the boat had disappeared, and that is why I am late.’

At this moment, the athiest brust out laughing and remarked, ‘Oh Abu Hanifah, I heard that you were the best debator from amongst the Muslims, I heard that you were the wisest, the most knowledgable from amongst your people. From seeing you today, I can say that you show none of these qualities. You speak of a boat appearing from nowhere, without someone having built it. Nails positioning themselves without someone having banged them, sealant being poured without someone having poured it, and the boat taking you to your destination without a navigator against the tide, your taking childish, your talking rediculous, I swear I do not belive a word of it!’

Abu Hanifah Rahimullah turned to the athiest and replied, ‘You don’t believe a word of it? You dont believe that nails can appear by themselves? You dont believe sealant can be poured by itself? You dont believe that a boat can move without a navigator, hence you don’t believe that a boat can appear without a boat maker?’

The athiest remarked defiantly, ‘Yes I dont believe a word of it!’

Abu Hanifah Rahimullah replied, ‘If you cannot believe that a boat came into being without a boat maker, than this is only a boat, how can you believe that the whole world, the universe, the stars, the oceans, and the planets came into being without a creator?

The athiest astonished at his reply got up and fled.

The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial.

'The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial...//***
Assalamu’alaikum Warohmatullohi Wabarakatuhu...
Bismillaahirrohmaanirrohiim .....

Whatever Allah Does It Is For Our Best
And for Allah is the Highest example. (Surah Nahl:60)

So when Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala , in His Infinite Wisdom, tests us with a situation that we think is difficult or takes away something that in our mind was good for us, we need to remember that perhaps it may not be so. Perhaps if we had continued in our way, it might have been harmful for us and whatever Allah decreed for us is actually better for us, for He is All-Wise and All-Knowing. Allah says:

'...and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.' (Surah Baqarah: 216)

Al-Hasan al-Basri said: 'Do not resent the calamities that come and the disasters that occur, for perhaps in something that you dislike will be your salvation, and perhaps in something that you prefer will be your doom.'

Remember that we are dealing with the One who is Arham ar-Raahimeen, the Most Merciful of all that show mercy. All the mercy that we have in this world from Adam (Alaiyhi Salaam) to the Day of Judgment is only one hundredth of the Mercy of the Most Merciful. And He is Most Wise. He knows and we don't know.

So have faith in Him and trust in Him and although, sometimes we may not understand the reason behind certain things, know that as long as you obey Him, whatever He will do for you is, in fact for your betterment.

So if Allah didn't give you that big house, or that nice car you wanted or that big raise you were hoping for, know in your mind and believe in your heart that it is actually better for you. Who knows.....maybe that big house, that car or that money would have become a source of 'fitnah' (test) for you....Perhaps you would have become arrogant and conceited because of it, and Allah saved you from it. Because, you know that the Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: 'Any one in whose heart is even a mustard seed's worth of pride will not enter Paradise.' (Muslim)

And if you have been sick and suffering, sure it is not easy. But again, know in your mind and believe in your heart that it is indeed better for you. For, if you bear patiently, it will be a means of expiation for your sins and a source of great reward. The Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: 'There is nothing that befalls a believer, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah will record one good deed for him and will remove one bad deed from him.' (Muslim)

And: 'On the Day of Resurrection, when people who had suffered affliction are given their reward, those who were healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world (when they see the immense rewards for the afflictions they suffered).' (Tirmidhi-Saheeh by al-Albaani)

If Allah took away a dear, loved one, believe, from the bottom of your heart, that surely this was better. For, you never know, had the one who passed away lived longer, may be his life would have been one of sins and disobedience and Allah, out of His Mercy, took him before that....in a state of Imaan.

And if life has been difficult, worries surround you and calamities after calamities befall you, hear the good news from the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam): 'Trials will continue to befall the believing man and woman, with regard to themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet Allah with no sin on them.' (Tirmidhi-- saheeh by al-Albaani)

Subhaan Allah! No sin?! And what is it from this world that you wouldn't give up, just to meet Allah with no sin??!!

Remember that the One Who is testing you is the Most Wise, the Most Merciful and the Most Loving.....and that He did not send this calamity in order to destroy you....or cause you pain or finish you off. Rather, He is checking on you, testing your patience, acceptance and faith; it is so that He may hear your du'a and supplication, so that He may see you standing before Him....seeking His protection....filled with humility and complaining to Him, alone. The difficulties you face is a reminder for you to return to Allah and ask for forgiveness from Him. Who knows... if He didn't give you the difficulty, maybe you would have strayed from Him far, far away....

Ibn Taymiyah said: 'A calamity that makes you turn to Allah is better for you than a blessing which makes you forget the remembrance of Allah.' Thus in our times of trouble, when we go through pain and suffering and in our times of loss, we need to trust Allah. We need to keep in mind that as long as we fear Him and try our best to obey Him, He will never do us wrong. He will protect us and guide us and do the best for us, no matter what the situation apparently looks like. Allaah says in a hadeeth Qudsi:

'I am as my slave thinks of me and I am with him whenever he remembers me.' (Agreed Upon).

It is actually a sign of our weakness and shortsightedness, that we tend to focus on the calamities themselves, without paying much attention to the benefits that they may bring. We also forget to look at all other innumerable blessings that we enjoy and see around us.

Our minds, our logic and our senses cannot even begin to fathom the Wisdom, the Knowledge and the Hikmah behind Allaah's decisions and verdicts. It is He who is the Wise....it is He who is the Just and it is He who is the Knower of the unseen. If we trust in Allaah, He will suffice and it is He who will grant us goodness in any situation and under any circumstances.

'And when someone puts all his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him.' (Surah at-Talaaq:3)

The Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: 'If you put your trust completely in Allah, He will arrange for your sustenance in the same way as He provides for the birds. They go out in the morning with their stomachs empty and return filled in the evening.' (Tirmidhi-saheeh).

So trust Him....for, there is much reward in trusting Him.....it is Jannah (Paradise). And there is sin in distrusting Him. Calamities and disasters are a test, and they are a sign of Allaah's love for a person. They are like medicine: even though it is bitter, yet, in spite of its bitterness you still give it to the one whom you love....

'The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allaah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.' (Saheeh al-Tirmidhi)

On the 21st October, 'The Muslim Debate Initiative' is hosting an exclusive event at The London Muslim centre -- the UK's leading Mosque. For the first time, the doors of a British mosque were open to the public to critically discuss Islam, in particular the Muslim concept of God. The event has been hailed as a confirmation that the Muslim community in Britain is willing to engage in critical dialogue concerning their faith, with fellow non-Muslim citizens.

The discussion will feature:

Dr Brendan Larvor. Representing the British Humanist Association, Dr Larvor, studied philosophy and mathematics at Balliol College, Oxford, before embarking on a brief career as a systems analyst. He resumed his studies in philosophy, with an MA from Queen' s University, Ontario before returning to Balliol to write a doctoral thesis on the philosophy of mathematics of Imre Lakatos. He taught at the Universities of Liverpool and Oxford, before joining Hertfordshire in 1997.

Adam Deen. A former Islam channel presenter and Muslim philosopher who has been working in the field of Muslim apologetics for almost a decade, Adam has contributed to debates on issues ranging from religious philosophy and theology. His work draws on contemporary philosophy to defend Islam in debates. He has appeared on mainstream TV defending theism. He is also a researcher for EMRC, the European Muslim Research Centre and runs a popular blog www.adamdeen.com

Why did Abu Is'haaq Al-Howayni cry? (very emotional)

The story of the old man whose determination was stronger than the mountains.
The video is about the reality of hijra and its emense reward.
"He who emigrates (from his home) in the Cause of Allah, will find on earth many dwelling places and plenty to live by. And whosoever leaves his home as an emigrant unto Allah and His Messenger, and death overtakes him, his reward is then surely incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Uthman ibn Affan r.a.-explore the amazing life of this great leader and martyr of Islam.

Exploring Islam brings to you a special talk on the life & death of the 3rd Caliph of Islam; Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him). The only man who had the honour of marrying two daughters of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), one after the other. He was one of the most generous of men and however much Allah gave him, he was more than happy to spend it all for the sake of Allah.

"The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower." (Qur'an 2:261)

Lessons for Muslim Minorities -- Imam Anwar Awlaki (1 of 8)

A beautiful lecture which tells us how we as Muslim minorities should live in the west through the examples set by the Prophet's and their companions.

Surah Al-Munafiqun (The Hypocrite) - Salah Bukhatir

Al-Munafiqun

Hypocrisy is such a sin against Islam and Muslims that even the Rasool's prayer cannot obtain forgiveness for them from Allah.

Let not your riches or children divert you from the remembrance of Allah, lest you become a real loser.

History:

Before mentioning the particular incident about which this Surah was revealed, it is necessary to have a look at the history of the hypocrites of Madinah. The incident that occurred on this occasion was not a chance happening, but had a whole series of events behind it, all of which ultimately led up to it.

Before the Prophet's migration to Madinah the tribes of the Aus and the Khazraj, fed up with their mutual rivalries and civil wars, had almost agreed on the leadership of one man and were making preparations to crown him their king. This was Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul, the chief of the Khazraj. Muhammad bin Ishaq has stated that among the people of Khazraj his authority was never contested and never had the Aus and the Khazraj rallied to one man before this.

When the Prophet arrived in Madinah, Islam had so deeply penetrated every house of the Ansar that Abdullah bin Ubayy became helpless and did not see any other way to save his leadership than to become a Muslim himself. So, he entered Islam along with many of his followers from among the chiefs and leaders of both the tribes although their hearts were burning with rage from within. Ibn Ubayy in particular was filled with grief, for the Prophet (pbuh) had deprived him of his kingship. For several years his hypocritical faith and grief of being deprived of his kingdom manifested itself in different ways. On the one hand, when on Fridays the Prophet (pbuh) took his seat to deliver the Sermon, Abdullah bin Ubayy would stand up and say "O people, the Rasool of Allah is present among you, by whom Allah has honored you; therefore, you should support him, listen to what he says and obey him." (Ibn Hisham, vol. III, p. 111). On the other, his hypocrisy was being exposed day by day and the true Muslims were realizing that he and his followers bore great malice against Islam, the Prophet and the Muslims.

Angel of War

Angel of war from Yusuf islam ( former cat stevens )

Angel of War
O Angel Of War! What am I fighting for?
If death comes tomorrow inform me before, inform me before

O Young Soldier Boy! Ill tell you what I know,
If peace is your wish, to battle you must go, to battle you must go

O Angel Of War! Please make it clear to me,
Which is my side, and who is my enemy? and who is my enemy?

O Young Soldier Boy! The world is open wide,
So look to wherever, the truth is forced to hide, the truth is forced to hide

O Angel Of War! Within myself I see
Battle has started, what will become of me? what will become of me?

O Young Soldier Boy! Youre Wiser than you seem,
Look into your heart, and keep your motives clean, and keep your motives clean

O Angel Of War! What weapons do I need?
Lest I may perish, that I may succeed, that I may succeed

O Young Soldier Boy! If you protect the poor,
Let truth be your armour, and justice be your sword, and justice be your sword

O Angel Of War! What makes me want to fight?
I sometimes feel hatred, is it wrong or right? is it wrong or right?

O Young Soldier Boy! The war you wage,
If its for your ego, it will die in rage, it will die in rage

O Angel Of War! How can I tell for sure,
Prides not its reason that Im fighting for, that Im fighting for

O Young Soldier Boy! Thats something I cant tell,
God knows you reason and you should know as well, and you should know as well

O Angel Of War! When I look at me,
Im fearful to confess, the enemy I see, the enemy I see

O Young Soldier Boy! Now you can go your war,
Ill see you tomorrow, a boy youll be no more, a boy youll be no more

How were the Sahaba Victorious ? Anwar Al Awlaki

The illegitimate regimes in the Muslim world continue their slavery to Western governments despite their continued abuse of Islam. These corrupt criminals - whether dictators or democrats - whether professing to be custodians of Islam or sec...ularism.. They have done nothing in the face of the anti-Islam propaganda by Western governments. They silent when the offensive cartoons attacking Allah's beloved Messenger (saw) were printed and circulated on the Internet. The Muslim world now desperately needs a leadership that will stand for Islam, defend the Qur'an and the Messenger of Allah (saw) from slanders and insults, and work to end the continued colonization and occupation of the Muslim lands. Today, there is no one to shield the Muslims from attack and as a result, the Prophet (saw) is viciously attacked while the Muslims continue to be defeated. They did nothing during the attacks upon the Qur'an made by Geert Wilders from Holland or when the Quran was desecrated by US troops in Guantanamo Bay. Their silence continues to this day while European governments ban the Muslim woman's dress and minarets in their countries.May Allah (swt) re-establish the Khilafah in the Muslim lands so that we can protect His Glorious Book, His beloved Messenger (saw) and the believers. Ameen.

'Rabbi Sal'em' - Abdullah Hakim Quick

VID SCRIPT:
This is a excerpt from a lecture back in 1989 by shaykh Abdullah Hakim Quick. He describes how he feels when he looks at the deception of this world, and what comes to his mind.

A man of great wisdom and intellect - this is what a scholar envisions when he sees corruption, he is reminded of Allah - this is one of THE BEST ways to handle fitna (i.e: tests in life)

If anyone of you are put into a scenario where everywhere you look around you is an opportunity to commit a sin ... remember to say 'Rabbi Sal'em' - and remember why you are using this specific phrase, what it 'really' refers to.

To remind myself first, and everybody how similar these words from the shaykh are, despite the lecture being more than 20 years old...to really look at this world from a different perspective.

Celebrating Eid, the Sunnah way

Celebrating Eid, the Sunnah way. Here are some of the Sunnah acts of Eid

What is Eid-ul-Adha ??

Assalamu'alaykum warohmatullah wabarokaatuhu
Bismillahirohmaanirohiim

Eid-ul-Adha is one of the two major yearly holidays of Islam. Eid-ul-Adha falls on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Zul Hijjah. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael for the sake of God. May Allah's peace be upon these two great Prophets.

=========================

Prophet Ibrahim:
-----------------------

"Salam (peace) be upon Abraham!" God says in the Quran (37:109).

In Islam, Prophet Ibrahim is the friend of God and the father of Prophets (Ismail or Ishmael in English and Ishaq or Isaac and the grandfather of Prophet Yaqub or Jacob). He is also one of the ancestors of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Anyone who rejects Prophet Ibrahim is not a true believer in Islam. Prophet Ibrahim plays a key role in this regard.

In terms of beliefs, a Muslim must believe in all of the Prophets. This includes not just Prophet Ibrahim, but his sons Ismail, Ishaq, his grandson Yaqub and of course his descendant Prophet Muhammad.

When it comes to the five pillars of Islam, the importance of Prophet Ibrahim becomes even more evident.

The second pillar of Islam is Salah, the obligatory five daily prayers. Every Muslim who has reached the age of puberty is accountable for their prayers, be he male or be she female, whether they live in the desert of northern Arabia, a village of northern Pakistan or an urban center of North America.

During one part of each of these five prayers, Muslims must ask God to send His blessings upon Prophet Ibrahim. Now calculate this: you've got more than a few million Muslims, every day, five times a day, in virtually every time zone on this planet asking God to send His blessings on Prophet Ibrahim in the course of his/her prayer.

More importantly, the direction in which every Muslim must face when praying is towards a structure Prophet Ibrahim built with his son Ismail: the Kaba, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

With regards to the Kaba, God says this about it: "The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka (another name for Makkah); full of blessings and guidance for all kinds of beings: in it are signs manifest, the station of Abraham-whoever enters it attains security; pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to God-those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, God stands not in need of any of His creatures"(Quran 3:96-97).

This leads to the second way in which this Prophet, described as the intimate friend of God (Quran 4:125), is revered: Hajj.

Hajj is the pilgrimage every Muslim must make to Makkah at least once in his/her lifetime. Hajj is also an obligation no Muslim is allowed to reject or ignore. It is in this rite that Prophet Ibrahim's importance becomes even more prominent.

In general, Prophet Ibrahim's centrality to this fifth pillar of Islam is indicated by the Prophet Mohammed's statement, You must adhere to the traditions and rituals (of Hajj), for these have come down to you from (your forefather) Ibrahim in heritage (Tirmidhi).

First, the Kaba is the central structure around which the Hajj takes place. No Hajj is valid without going around this structure built by Prophets Ibrahim and Ismail in counterclockwise fashion seven times.

Second, Muslims who perform the Hajj or Umra must run in the middle portion of the distance between Safa and Marwa (two hills close to the Kaba) seven times. This is a commemoration of the sacrifice of the wife of Abraham, Hajira (may God be pleased with her) for her son Prophet Ismail

Prophet Ibrahim had settled his wife and son in the valley of Makkah by God's order to pioneers a civilization. It was from this civilization that the Prophet Mohammed was born.

Finally, Prophet's Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail for the sake of God exemplifies not only his sincere devotion to God. The commemoration of this sacrifice is practiced with the sacrifice of an animal during Hajj and one of the two Islamic holy days: Eid-ul-Adha.

Both father and son willingly submitted to God's command. God substituted a ram in Ismail's place at the last moment. God talks about this incident in Quran 37:100-107.

The sacrifice that is offered by Muslims all over the world every year (at Eid-ul-Adha) is in commemoration of the supreme act and spirit of sacrifice offered by Prophet Abraham in lieu of his son Ismail.

TO ALL OUR BROTHER'S AND SISTERS !! EID MUBARAK :) !!

Wassalamu'alaykum wr wb

Description of Eid Prayer

‫بسم الله الرحمـــن الرحـــيم

The Eid prayer is one where the imam attends and leads the people in praying 2 units:

Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The prayer of al-Fitr is two rak’ahs and the prayer of al-Adha is two rak’ahs, complete and not shortened, on the tongue of your Prophet, and the one who fabricates lies is doomed.” Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 1420 and Ibn Khuzaymah. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i.

How to Pray?

In the first rak’ah he should say Takbeerat al-ihraam (say “Allaahu akbar” to start the prayer), after which he should say six or seven more takbeers, because of the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), “The takbeer of al-Fitr and al-Adha is seven takbeers in the first rak’ah and five takbeers in the second, apart from the takbeer of rukoo’.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 639.

Then he should recite al-Faatihah, and recite Soorat Qaf in the first rak’ah. In the second rak’ah he should stand up saying takbeer, and when he has stood up completely he should say takbeer five times, and recite Soorat al-Faatihah then Soorat al-Qamr. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to recite these two soorahs during the two Eids. Or if he wishes he can recite Soorat al-A’la in the first rak’ah and Soorat al-Ghaashiyah in the second, because it was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to recite al-A’la and al-Ghaashiyah in the Eid prayer.

The imam should revive the Sunnah be reciting these soorahs so that the Muslims will become familiar with the Sunnah.

The prayer comes before the khutbah:

One of the rulings of Eid is that the prayer comes before the khutbah, because of the hadeeth of Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah who said, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out on the day of al-Fitr and started with the prayer before the khutbah. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 958; Muslim, 885.

Wishing you all of you "EID MUBARAK"‬

There is nothing dearer to Allah Ta'ala during the days of sacrifice

Eid Mubarak!
Assalamualaykum (Peace Be Upon You),

I Pray this message reaches you in the best of eeman and health.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

As we approach the end of the 10 blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, The Prophet (Peace and Blessing be upon Him) said:

"On no days is the worship of Allah Ta'ala more loved than in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. The fast of each of these days is equal to the fast of a whole year, and the worship of each of these nights is equal to the worship of Laila-tul-Qadr (Night of Power).”
(TIRMIZI & IBN MAJAH)

The 10th of Dhul Hijjah marks an important act of worship that has been performed by Muslims for the past 1431years, the qurbanni (sacrifice).

Started by Prophet Ibraheem (Peace be upon Him) when Allah (SWT) ordered him to scarifies his son, Ismail (Peace be Upon Him).

The act of sacrifice itself entails great reward:

It is related by Ayesha (RA) that Rasulullah (Peace and Blessing be upon Him) said,

'There is nothing dearer to Allah Ta'ala during the days of sacrifice than the sacrificing of animals. The sacrificed animal shall come on the day of Qiyamah with its horns, hair and hooves (to be weighed in reward). The sacrifice is accepted by Allah Ta'ala before the blood reaches the ground. Therefore sacrifice with an open and happy heart."
(Tirmizhi, Ibn Majah)

From the above ahadith, we have seen the immense reward of these 10 days and the great reward that sacrifices carry.

Conveying the true message of Islam, no matter how small is an obligation upon all Muslims and is a way of completing our own Ibadah (worship) with great reward. Allah (SWT) says in Surah Fussilat;

"And who is better in speech than he who invites to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says: 'I am one of the Muslims.'"
(The Holy Qur’an 41:33)

Lets not forget that dawah carries great reward. The Prophet (saw) said that;

“Whoever calls to guidance will gain a reward similar to that gained by his followers without curtailing their rewards.” [Sahih Muslim]

Eid ul Adha Mubaruk

Assalamualaekum,

Dear all, Eid mubaruk to you ,your family members and all muslims.

Allah says:

“Neither the flesh nor the blood of your sacrifices reaches God, but it is the righteous motive underlying them (taqwa) that reaches Him.” (Quran 22:37)

Your offerings for sacrifice are symbolic of your resolve to achieve Taqwa (piety) and to do everything possible to protect Islam and to get pleasure of Allah. May Allah forgive our sins , accept all our sacrificies and good deeds. May Allah give u taufeeq (grace) to do more good deeds in order to please Allah. Aaamen!

تكبيرات العيد

Let's learn to Sacrifice

Sacrifice in Islam is both general and specific. In the general sense, sacrifice is the very heart of Islamic faith, for a Muslim declares, in the words of the Qur'an:

Say: "Surely my Salah (worship), my sacrifice, and my life and death are wholly dedicated to Allah, Lord of the worlds.) (Quran-Al-An`am 6:162).

Accordingly, we are called upon to sacrifice our time, energy, and possessions in order to realize the will of Allah on earth. Let us be Muslims in heart, body and soul.‬

Meanings behind Eid al-Adha

• Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is the most important feast of the Muslim calendar.
• Eid Adha is on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, which is the last month in the Muslim calendar.
• The 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah is the day when Hujjaj (pilgrims) stand on the mountain of ^Arafat.
• It is Recommended (Sunnah) to fast the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah.
• Eid al-Adha concludes the Hajj journey (Pilgrimage) to Meccah al-Mukarramah.
• Eid al-Adha is followed by 3 days called the Days of Tashreeq.
• Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to obey Allah by sacrificing his son.
• Muslims believe the son to be Ismail and not Isaac (Ishaq) as told in the Old Testament.
• Prophet Ismail is considered the forefather of the Arabs.
• According to the Quran, Prophet Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son by slaughtering him.
• Although the knife was sharpened, but when Prophet Ibrahim came to slaughter Ismail, the knife would not cut anything.
• He tested the knife to stab but it would not cut at all.
• The reason is that everything that happens in this world is by the will of Allah. Allah is the creator of everything, He manages everything, He does not need any of his creations, He exists without a place.
• Allah did not will for that knife to cut or harm prophet Ismail.
• Allah protected Prophet Ismail and granted prophet Ibrahim a ram as a sacrifice instead.
• Allah sent the Prophets to teach the people, so we must love them and respect them, including Prophet Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, Abraham and all Prophets.
• Today millions of Muslims sacrifice sheep and give them it away for the needy and poor people for the sake of Allah.
• The Muslim family eats about a third of the meal and donates the rest to the poor.
• What a great meaning it is to help the needy and make them all equally happy and joyful on this day.
• The time of the Udhiah or sacrifice begins at the sunrise of the Eid day and ends at the sunset of the third day of the days of Tashriq.

The Sunnah - How To Prepare for Eid Prayer

The first of Shawwaal is known as Eid ul-Fitr, and the tenth of Zil Hijah is known as Eid ul-Ad'haa. Both these days are days of festivity and celebration in Islam.

Narrated Uqbah ibn Amir:
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
The day of Arafah, the day of sacrifice, the days of tashriq are (the days of) our festival, O people of Islam. These are the days of eating and drinking.
(Abu Dawood Book #13, Hadith #2413)

Thirteen things are sunnah on the day of Eid:

1. To adorn oneself according to the Shariah.

2. To have a bath.

3. To use miswaak.

4. To wear the best of clothing which one possesses.

5. To apply perfume.

6. To wake up very early in the morning.

7. To go early to the Eid prayer place.

8. To eat something sweet, such as dates, before going to the Eid prayer place for Eidul Fitr and for Eid ul-Ad’haa vice versa.

9. To give the sadaqatul fitr before going to the Eid prayer place.

10. To offer the Eid prayer in the Eid prayer place. That is, one should not offer Eid prayer in the masjid without any valid reason.

11. To return from the Eid prayer place taking a route that is different from the one that he had taken when going towards the Eid prayer place.

12. To go to the Eid prayer place on foot

13. Recite the following Takbir on the way to Salaat and until the beginning of Salaat-al-Eid:

الله اكبر الله اكبر

لا اله الا الله

الله اكبر الله اكبر

ولله الحمد

Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar. Laa ilaaha illallaah. Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, Wa lillaahil Hamd.

Allaah is great, Allaah is great. There is no god but Allaah. Allaah is great, Allaah is great. And all praises are for Allaah.

Eid Mubarak Brothers and Sisters :)

The time of the Takbeer

The takbeer is divided into two categories:

1 – Takbeer at any time. This is takbeer that is not limited to a specific time, and it is Sunnah to say it all the time, morning and evening, before prayer and after prayer, at all times.

2 – Takbeer at certain times. This is takbeer that is limited to the time immediately after prayer.

It is Sunnah to recite takbeer at any time during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and all the days of Tashreeq, starting from the beginning of the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah (i.e., from sunset on the last day of Dhu’l-Qa’dah) until the end of the days of al-Tashreeq, which is when the sun sets on the thirteenth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah).

With regard to at certain times, it starts from Fajr on the day of ‘Arafah and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of the days of Tashreeq, in addition to the takbeer that may be recited at any time. So when a person says the tasleem at the end of the obligatory prayer, he should pray for forgiveness (by saying Astaghfir-Allaah) three times, and say, “Allaahumma anta al-salaam wa minka al-salaam, tabaarakta yaa dhaa’l-jalaali wa’l-ikraam (“O Allaah, You are al-Salaam [the One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies), and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O possessor of majesty and honour)”, then start the takbeer.

This is for those who are not on Hajj. The pilgrims should start the takbeer recited after prayer from Zuhr on the Day of Sacrifice (the 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah).

And Allaah knows best.

See Majmoo’ Fataawa Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him), 13/17; al-Sharh al-Mumti’ by Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him), 5/220-224.

Did you know: what is the best day of the year?

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

Don't miss out your chance of gaining Allaah Mercy and forgiveness on the best day of the year! So what's so special about this day, the day of 'Arafah? Let's have a brief look inshaaAllaah:

Virtues of the Day of Arafaah

Praise be to Allaah.

1. It is the day on which the religion was perfected and Allaah’s Favour was completed.

In Al-Saheehayn it was reported from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a Jewish man said to him, “O Ameer al-Mu’mineen, there is an aayah in your Book which you recite; if it had come to us Jews, we would have taken that day as an ‘Eid (festival).” ‘Umar said, “Which aayah?” He said: “This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [al-Maa’idah 5:3 – interpretation of the meaning]. ‘Umar said, “We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). It was when he was standing in ‘Arafaah on a Friday.”

2.It is a day of Eid for the people who are in that place.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Yawm ‘Arafaah (the day of ‘Arafaah), Yawm al-Nahr (the Day of Sacrifice) and Ayyaam al-Tashreeq (the 3 days following Yawm al-Nahr) are Eid (festival) for us, the people of Islam. These are days of eating and drinking.” This was narrated by the authors of al-Sunan. It was reported that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab said: “It – i.e., the aayah ‘This day I have perfected…’ was revealed on a Friday, the Day of ‘Arafaah, both of which – praise be to Allaah – are Eids for us.”

3.It is a day by which Allaah swore an oath.

The Almighty cannot swear by anything except that which is mighty. Yawm ‘Arafaah is the “witnessed day” mentioned in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

“By the witnessing day [Friday] and by the witnessed day [the Day of ‘Arafaah].” [al-Burooj 85:3].

It was reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The promised day is the Day of Resurrection, the witnessed day is the Day of ‘Arafaah, and the witnessing day is Friday.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.

It is the “odd” [i.e., odd-numbered, Witr] by which Allaah swore in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

“And by the even and the odd” [al-Fajr 89:3]. Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “The even is the Day of al-Adhaa [i.e., 10th Dhoo’l-Hijjah] and the odd is the Day of ‘Arafaah [i.e., 9th Dhoo’l-Hijjah] This is also the view of ‘Ikrimah and al-Dahhaak.

4. Fasting on this day is an expiation for two years.

It was reported from Abu Qutaadah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” Narrated by Muslim.

This (fasting) is mustahabb for those who are not on Hajj. In the case of the one who is on Hajj, it is not Sunnah for him to fast on the Day of ‘Arafaah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not fast on this day in ‘Arafaah. It was narrated that he forbade fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah in ‘Arafaah.

5.It is the day on which Allaah took the covenant from the progeny of Adam.

It was reported that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah took the covenant from the loins of Adam in Na’maan, i.e., ‘Arafaah. He brought forth from his loins all his offspring and spread them before Him, then He addressed them, and said: ‘Am I not your Lord? They said, ‘Yes, we testify,’ let you should say on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Verily, we have been unaware of this.’ Or lest you should say: ‘It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allaah, and we were (merely their) descendents after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practised Al-Baatil (i.e., ploytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allaah)?’ [al-A’raaf 7:172-173 – interpretation of the meaning].” Narrated by Ahmad and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani. And there is no greater day than this and no greater covenant than this.

6.It is the day of forgiveness of sins, freedom from the Fire and pride in the people who are there:

In Saheeh Muslim it was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no day on which Allaah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafaah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying, ‘What do these people want?’”

It was reported from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah expresses His pride to His angels at the time of ‘Ishaa’ on the Day of ‘Arafaah, about the people of ‘Arafaah. He says, ‘Look at My slaves who have come unkempt and dusty.’” Narrated by Ahmad and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.

And Allaah knows best.

A Radical British Muslim? Abu Izzadeen

Abu Izzadeen, converted to Islam just before his 18th birthday. Now he speaks Arabic and quotes the Koran.

Having spent three and a half years in a British prison under the Terrorism act, he has not lost his eloquence in speech. Often noted for his forceful heckling of the British Home Secretary John Reid.

He explains why he was convicted and why there is a war on Islam, and we learn there are limits to criticism of the state.

Supplication of Arafah and also after each Salah

Praise be to Allaah.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever says Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer one hundred times in a day will have (a reward) equivalent to freeing ten slaves, one hundred hasanaat (good deeds) will be recorded for him and one hundred sayiaat (bad deeds) will be erased from him, and he will be protected from the Shaytaan for that day until evening comes. No one can do anything better than what he has done except one who does more than that. Whoever says Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah) one hundred times in a day, his sins will be erased even if they were like the foam of the sea.
